I was very disappointed with the condition of the Rug Doctor I received. It arrived covered in dog hair and was dirty, so I had to spend an entire hour cleaning and disinfecting it before I could even use it. Customers should not have to clean rental equipment before using it. I expected the machine to be properly cleaned and ready to use.

Machine arrived with damaged plug. Did not work. Ordering a replacement was straightforward but the process wasted a lot of time. No compensation offered for inconvenience.

Had to clean the carpet cleaner as it was dirty on collection hair dirty on bottom dirt in tank. Once cleaned worked perfectly

It is so easy to use and when you phone up customer service, they are absolutely lovely. Definitely be getting it again.

When I got this machine from TESCO in Oakham it was FILTHY!!! Looked like it had not been cleaned in years. I have to photos, if I could post them here I would definitely sending a complaint email.

A number of reasons for the high score. Unfortunately when I went to collect the carpet cleaner from my local large Tesco store, after entering the code into the locker, I opened it to find it empty. Luckily, there was a leaflet on the side of the lockers and a Customer helpline number. I phoned and with 10 seconds was speaking to a clear English speaking lady who couldn't have been more helpful. I explained that the previous user hadn't returned it as required and she gave me another code for the adjacent locker. This had a machine in as expected. I took it home and cleaned my entire bungalow (fairly large) within a couple of hours and after cleaning the machine returned it to the locker. The machine did a fantastic job of cleaning our carpets (it is heavy to use though). I wish to pass on my thanks to the Customer Services lady who was trusting and excellent. I have used this system several times before and will continue to do so.

Easy to collect and return and operate Helpful agent on phone

I was dissappointed with the Rug Doctor carpet cleaner hire this time. When I got the carpet cleaner machine it was dirty - the water tank was dirty with some debris and bits of dirty water inside. the brush at the bottom was dirty, with hair and bits and pieces stuck in it. I hired it for 2 days but couldn't use because of how dirty it was so returned it next day without using it. Previously it my experience with Rug Doctor was great so I am not sure what went wrong here.

Very easy to book and collect the machine from a local supermarket and buy the cleaning solution there.
Spent most of a day cleaning the carpets, then found it equally easy to return the machine to the same collection point.

Absolutely not worth the money. The carpet cleaner I rented was completely unmaintained, dirty, and the brush roll didn't work at all. It's unacceptable to rent out faulty and dirty equipment. Management needs to inspect their items before handing them over to customers. Avoid!

Easy to collect and fine to use. However the machine was absolutely filthy when I collected it. Spent an hour cleaning dog hair out of it before I could use it. It’s very clunky for a small space, previous carpet cleaners I’ve used have looked more like hoovers but this was like a lawnmower. 3 stars because the carpets are looking much better!

So easy to order and pick up. Machine gives excellent results on carpet and sofa.

The rugdoctor done a fantastic job on all my carpets infact it was better than a car cleaner coming to do them
