Runna is the best! Using it to train for my first half marathon is amazing! Training schedule, tips and motivation are great!
I am 60 years old. I haven’t run in 19 Years… I have decided to start running again….i went out and did 30 runs…. I went too hard,..too fast. I injured my toes and my feet constantly hurt.
I stopped for 10 days, then restarted with Runna. Wow! What a difference…I’m slowly building up to my running goal and my feet aren’t hurting.
I am soooo pleased I have invested in using Runna App. Thank you.
I am currently training for my 3rd Marathon having previously used the free training plans available on RunnersWorld. I decided to give Runna a go when RunnersWorld put these plans behind a paywall & seeing countless friends and fellow runners using Runna, and have some thoughts....
Firstly, the app does NOT take into account the climate you are living in. I live in the Tropics (Darwin, Australia) and the paces are just ridiculous and NOT sustainable when factoring in the heat & humidity. I would have thought that given the money you pay, their AI would be advanced enough to adapt their plans to basic factors like the weather.
Secondly, I put in a Half Marathon B-Race for the end of week 4 when I signed up for a local race at short notice, and since then the long run distances are ridiculous! 24km & 26km for week 5 & 6!! Again it's just not sustainable and I am shocked that the plan has done this. If anything, it should have dropped below 21km for week 5 and started to build up slowly to the eventual 30/32km mark.
I have been running consistently for a while, done many half marathon races and now marathons, and using Runna is the first time I have started to experience really bad pains and niggles with my knees, to the point that I now need to see a physio on the regular - so thanks Runna.....
The app repeatedly fails to record runs — its most basic function. I’ve been trying for over a month to get this resolved. Runna admitted they can’t fix the issue and told me they have no authority to refund. Apple have not responded at all. £99 per year is a lot of money for an app that fails at the core level and offers no meaningful support. Totally unacceptable.
Theres much to like about the app. It uploads seamlessly to your Garmin and you can change the workouts around during the week and run strength workouts in parallel. It is strangely unadaptable however if you're trying to train for an Ultra on a certain date. If you choose the Ultra plans, they run for 16 weeks max, but my race is 6 months away. If you try to create a custom race I can choose the correct date but it maxs out at 50KM, my race is 85km. Effectively I can't use the app for what I bought it for. Even more frustrating when you can see that both the distance and the date are adaptable in different parts of the app, just not together! Frustrating as hell!!
Following the plan, improves your vo2 max, running gets easier and your pace gets quicker. But you have to put in the work. Follow the plan Runna gives you and your running will improve.
It's good for people who crave a little structured and some customization - but for people who have been running for a while i don't see this as that helpful. I wish there were ways to customize this more and make flexible plans
Made an account and now i cant cancel my subscription horrible app
Terrible customer support. I made the mistake of giving the app another go after my initial attempt to access the app resulted in 8 days of back and forth with customer support before my money was refunded. Still waiting for a refund this time after exactly the same issue and no response from customer support for 4 days despite submitting evidence of my subscription.
The app is almost perfect — better than anything else I’ve used. The only thing is that the plan doesn’t adjust if I happen to miss a workout. It would also be great if I could start non-running workouts from the watch.
Great for me as a beginner runner to have access to such a professional plan. I likely would be running too hard and probably injured.
I was disappoinginly mislead in my order of running shorts from the Runna website. I am a massive fan of their training app, but am left dismayed after the experience purchasing gear. The company does not disclose that custom charges will be added to orders from UK to Ireland - adding 20% to the cost of my order before it could be delivered. I don't know another propoer online store where this is still a thing. I raised this with their customer service team as was completly dismissed. The added frustration is that the shorts don't fit and I need to return them, with no way of having my customs payment refunded. I would have re-ordered a different size, but it would mean a second customs charge. It is such a let down from a business I really respected.
Runna is a very easy to use app which has helped me take over 30 mins so far off my marathon pb. It makes it very easy to set up a varied plan, custom made to the time you have, to meet any training goal, regardless of ability.
Easy to use. Realistic. Motivational and great advice on numerous topics.

Impossible to unsubscribe your trial.
I have started a trial using Apple Pay thinking its safe and easy to cancel if the product does not fit my training. I have never been so wrong before, it looks polishef on the outside but there is no unsubscribe button on the app nor on their website. Instead they referent you to a ”reseller company” that have a site that ask you to fill in the email that you signed up with eventho you already signed in to their site to even get the redirected link to padda.. the problem is that im not recieving any mail thats supposed to allow me to unsubscribe which is what they claim is supposed to happen. And their support does not respons, padda the reseller directs you to Buddy ltd and they have not answered me now after 4 days and the subscribtion is soon activated.
So in summary they sent an email with a link to my email that i made the trial on where im entering a 3rd party site that ask me to send my email that i made the trial on so i can get another email with a link to the unsubscribe button, and im not recieving this email. How does this make any sense?? This is so scetchy i feel like calling the police

It does what it says good training advice and sessions that have kept motivated with good race results

Extremely basic run training program that you could get much better sessions for free online but being sold at an extortionate price.
Doesn't take into account any external variables and has awful race predictor capabilities although this is typical of any algorithmic running software.
I think this is mean to be aimed at coach to 5k style runners who just need to get out the door and run but has no place being advertised as any kind of replacement to just doing your own training or speaking to any free local coach

Programmes are well structured and deliver… the best training app out there

They asked me for 19,99€ per month for subscription and they don’t offer simple features like “edit” your run time and distance after one is accomplished.
Training plans are looking similar and warmup/cooldown sessions are repetitive and unclear, not easy to follow.
Wasn’t able to get my refund from them or Apple Store either.
To me this is a complete SCAM!
Shame on your “cash grabbers!”
