Shop regularly for all my groceries since several years at the falcon store
Quite often and again, today the front manager Samantha was ringing groceries so fast to the person before me then myself
We had no time to bag our groceries they just piled up !
Just one register was open with a line of customers …

Sale items and coupons frequently are charged without the reduction. It happens at different stores. It's probably a company policy.
Dear Safeway lately
Dear Safeway lately. I've been purchasing ground beef and the outside is nice and fresh and red. And the inside is brown and funny smelling. Are you trying to scam people by wrapping up old meat with fresh meat? I took a picture so I could show you. This is unacceptable. This is Safeway capilano Edmonton Alberta, Canada.
Arthur st Thunder Bay Safeway location
I went to the Safeway on Arthur Street wanting to buy a roast. The man behind the meat counter looked at me with evil eyes wouldn’t ask me what I needed so I asked him if there were any sale roasts left. He said to get a rain check. I was disgusted at his service. I asked customer service about a rain check. I was told that because it was while quantities last, I could not have one. She was very rude, I was surprised at the service from both employees. I will never ever go back to Safeway or Arthur Street again. These two people should be fired. Especially the man behind the meat counter at the back of the store. I never had service like that before in my life. He gave me the creeps and I will like I said never go back again.

The overall experience is positive with this chain is positive until today's visit at their Arbutus branch. I usually go thete for a quick brunch with my partner, cause she works nearby and we only have an hour for lunch. The service of their salad's needs immediate improvement. We were there once asking for cracker with their soup we did not get any help until a member of the management shown up. Today we ran out of luck and its really bad attitude in their serving. I might not visit this location again. Pls do not contact me.
Manager was very disrespectful
Manager was very disrespectful. There was a discrepancy on a bag of shrimps. I wouldn't have purchased them. If the price was what they said they where was a blue tag that indicated. 8.99 for 16-30 shrimp, 2lb so the cash register charged me 13.99. She said that they were on sale for 13.99 and I said no, the sign said 8.99, so the manager went to look. She Took forever the line got all backed up. I was the only one in line at first when she came. She didn't come back to the register. She yelled across the room. The price is right. What does that mean the prices Is it there 899? So I yelled back. What does that mean then? She came to our aisle very rude. It's 13.99 by then. There was a lot of people in line. I normally don't get upset. But I did this time because the way she handled herself. I am a black people frequent in that store. So I felt that she didn't give me my due diligence. As a manager and treating me with respect ...respect as a loyal customer I've been shopping at your store for 20 years I'm also have supervisor skills I don't think she has, our needs more training at Broadway and Rural Tempe Az

My namenis Freddie battle and I'm a regular customer at the store on e mc Dowell w.of 7th st. Tonight after worship service I came to the store but the deli was closed. Your employee Arturo was there cleaning up by himsel a! 2-3 job. But he stopped what he was doing to get me my chicken salad. For him doing all that work by himself he deserves a raise or a bonus. A great employee
Did a mobile delivery order on 8/17/24
Did a mobile delivery order on 8/17/24. Everything on the order was out of stock except 3 bananas. I called the store who assured me in two separate phone calls that the order was cancelled and I WOULD NOT be charged. I noticed 2 days later a charge to my credit card. I called customer service who told me the order was never canceled and started the refund process. I was then told it could be TWO WEEKS to get the refund. The agent had attitude that I should be ok waiting even longer. I was ripped off. I was charged for something I never received and lied to several times by staff. Management never even reached out. I never received any email confirming the cancellation or refunds.
Beyond rude and no service whatesoever. History of overcharging customers and disregarding specials pricing and coupons.
Safeway supermarket in Wilsonville, Oregon
My disabled wife went in for a few things for me since I just had surgery. She used the electric cart which failed a couple times and let out a siren. No one offered to inquire or assist. On checking out she was charged for 4 of one item instead of 3, and at full price not the price on the shelf. (I had seen similar experienced with women in front of me at checkout bursting into tears because they could not afford the actual register price because specials and coupons were not applied as advertised).
My wife tried to report the problem with the cart and was called a b*tch, and when she tried to correct the checkout pricing was called it again. When she asked the manager's name, the woman (Danielle) lied to her and told her that she WAS the manager, Another employee identified the manager as Mackenzie and Danielle yelled across the store that she had left for the day.
Beyond rude. Beyond no service. And questionable legality on overcharging people (I have seen reviews mentioning this for a couple of years, so it has been going on for some time.)
Safeway on the never again list
Management in Enumclaw, WA is dishonest to their employees. I will never shop in ANY Safeway again. Management does not understand the lowest level basic mechanics of running a grocery store.
Safeway in Williams AZ,
Safeway in Williams AZ,
As of 8/13/2024 Safeway practices price gauging on large scale ( Circle K down the road is less expensive). Horrible food too : we bought meatballs and a salad. Meatballs had little if any meat ( mostly bread and some dubious paste), swimming in barbeque sauce. It taste so bad that we had to toss them. The salad did not taste like any vegetable, we ended up tossing that one too. Not much luck with the canned things either (a Starbucks "expresso and cream "coffee tasted like metal wash, with so much gunk at the bottom of the can that we tossed the whole package - 4 cans).

Pharmacy is a disaster
Pharmacy is a disaster. I was denied service and asked to not return for having my Maryland Concealed Carry Permit as my only form of ID.
I have followed up with local rights groups to expose this safesways likely unlawful bias and discrimination of people they don't want doing business in their community.
This issue was reviewed by store manager Matt Kocky who failed to speak with me for at least a month after the incident and was then uneducated on the incident completely.
Corporate told me they did not need to see my ID in the first place, so I guess they were just trying to get out of more work from the start.
Avoid them like the plague. If it’s too late I recommend you reach out at : Safeway Legal Department, 5918 Stoneridge Mall Rd, 94589, Ca.
I know I sure as heck am
The app doesn’t work
The app doesn’t work. Get to check out and digital coupons don’t come up. No in store person help. It’s one of the reasons I never shop at Safeway if I can go anyplace else

Shelf prices lower than scan price.
They list prices on the shelf lower than what they scan for. I am so tired of thinking I am purchasing a product for a price that is lower than the product actually scans for at checkout.
Safeway has been crap for quite some…
Safeway has been crap for quite some time. However, the final straw came when it took nearly a month to receive a refund/ resolve a refund issue.
I placed an order on June 28th for pickup at the Diamond Heights Blvd location in San Francisco. The following morning, I received an email stating that four out of the five B2G3 items were not in stock. Since Safeway has a history of trying to keep most of my money when items are missing (i.e. hiking up the prices on other items to keep as much money as possible), I checked the refund amount. The paid items in the B2G3 should have been $11.XX each. However, the refund amount was $7.XX. I looked over the receipt and noticed that the second group of B2G3 had turned into an instance where I ended up paying for three times instead. As a result, I canceled the entire order. Safeway informed me that it would take 5-7 business days to receive a refund.
A few days later, I logged into my account and realized that the order had been listed as "picked up." I immediately contacted Safeway to inform them that I had not picked up the order and asked them to assure that this lie would not affect my refund. They assured me that I'd be refunded within five to seven business days. However, I wasn't.
I contacted Safeway when they failed to uphold their policy of refunding orders after 5-7 business days. They escalated it for the zillionth time. No one called me, no one responded to the complaints that I made.
They simply gave themselves a new 5-7 business days to refund me.
A second set of business days ended without one dollar being refunded. Finally, I decided to level with them. After presenting my proof that I'd never gone to the store to pick up the groceries, I offered to retrieve the groceries at the sales prices during the time when the order was placed. The representative obliged and gave me the number to the store to ask if they'd do that instead of having to wait another two weeks.
I called the store and more drama ensued. I explained how we were three days shy of making a month since I first requested a refund. I informed them that I was willing to return the small fee that they'd given me ($7.XX when they didn't have some items in stock) and that the $7.XX along with the $47.XX that they owed me would cover the groceries on the list.
The woman on the phone tried to argue that I owed her the amount of the second B2G3. First, I did the math for her, then I pulled up the receipt and advised that I should only owe the amount that was returned and that anything else would mean they are illegally hiking the price after the fact. I advised her to look at the receipt to see the incorrect fee that was returned and advised that it would be all that I owed. She continued arguing and when I advised her to have someone check her math, she took offense, and said, "Well now, there's no need for comments like that." I wasn't being rude. People ask others to check their math all the time, but whatever.
As it turns out, there was more than a need for comments "like that" as the woman failed to give proper counts of individual items. I also had to drive back to switch out an item that I told her could not be substituted (the sausage had to be all beef). However, she gave me turkey/pork/beef- I can't eat turkey as it causes a stomachache and then projectile vomiting. I had to drive allllll the way back to that side of the city to trade in the sausages. I didn't even both with the individual produce. I've since closed out my Safeway account. It's over for me.
