Good service and signal

The support was fantastic. It was easy to pick it up & drop it off. All staff were professional & friendly, both in-person & online. I will use it again on my next trips. Thank you very much.

Very easy to use, and the downloading process was easy to understand. Of those within my group traveling to Japan, only my phone with SakuraMobile was working perfectly as I traveled between Tokyo and all the way to Fukuoka.

After more than one week of usage, I can tell that even if the coverage is good, the upload speed is really crap.
Since upload speed is bad, internet seems so slow, and it was almost impossible to work.
I was so disapointed that I bought an eSim from another provider (using Softbank/KDDI network as they almost all do) and it was FAR better!
I don't discuss the coverage might be better using Docomo, but the servers Sakura Mobile or IIJ use are really not working correctly (mainly upload).

Thoroughly recommend the mobile wifi. Picking it up at Haneda airport was quick and easy, the signal is stable and strong, and battery life really excellent. What more could I want from such a device? It does what it should very well, and email communication from Sakura prior to my visit was efficient.

All was easy to set up. I did not compare prices with other companies.

5G had to be activated on website, but it is just 1 click.

After a week the device can’t get secure connection and it currently doesn’t get any connection

I found it easy to get everything installed although it took a bit to realize that once I'd installed the items sent by Sakura I needed to turn the phone off then restart it. I have gotten good reception so far and use the connectivity for other devices when I am out and about.

It’s very easy to pay and buy a Sakura Sim. Reallly accesible for every device.

Sakura Mobile's customer service has always been great, offering services in English where others in Japan don't or offer them with some caveats.

Responses are usually fast and informative in my experience.

I'm a SIM card owner of many years now and have thought of changing somewhere down the line as my Japanese is stronger now and others with no English support offer a better "bang for your buck" with more data and lower prices.

This being an MVNO, we can't expect perfect coverage, especially in the countryside or when large crowds convene. For that the "big three" might be better for you.

I will also say the quality of voice calls within Japan can vary greatly. Compared to my time with Softbank, I've had to deal with relatively "low" or "distant" sounding calls on more than one occasion. Is this a Sakura Mobile issue or is it coming from the other party?

But for what they are and the price point, I can't really complain too much.

Service was great. i was struggling to get service for my trip, so i went to sakura mobile and they made it quick and easy for me. Highly recommend going here for cell service on your abroad trips :)
