Micky and Joe arrived on time and proceeded to remove our old awning straight away. Once our new one was up, they checked with me to make sure it was low enough to block out the sun, whilst leaving room for our doors to open. Once they finished, everything was cleared up - apart from the new awning, you wouldn’t know they’d been here! Polite and happy and obviously take pride in their work. Really pleased and would definitely recommend.

Micky and Joseph arrived on site in the time frame allocated and got on with the job straight away.
After they had finished and cleared up,Micky explained to me how the awning operated and it was very straightforward.
The whole experience was without any problems and I would use this company again, as I have done before.

I am extremely disappointed and angry at the level of service provided, the whole thing has been an expensive joke. This could be why I've not been asked to provide feedback by the company!
50% payment on order, then the following 50% paid prior to installation, this was due on 8 Jul. I would suggest waiting for satisfactory completion of the job before paying the balance as the feeling of vulnerability is quite overwhelming.
First issue was one of the legs provided was 2' shorter than ordered, so everything was taken away until the new part could be sourced. This was then subject to delays in Germany including their mandatory holiday period. The second install date, 29 Aug was then cancelled by Sansom's because they had to use my team to do something else, but agreed to come on 6 Sep. Fitting of the roof and legs, now both the same size, completed on 6th as promised, but the motor for the valance didn't work. Valance cassette was mounted, but not usable, with a promise to get the motor issue sorted soonest. Shortly after I noticed that the valance motor and solar panel were mounted on the drop-leg side, in contravention of what is published in the user manual as it would impede drainage and could cause issues with the electrical system. This was sent back to the company but was subject of some debate, either by Sansom or the supplier, even though the fitter had clearly identified it as being wrong. There is now apparent agreement that the valance cassette is the wrong way round. A provisional third date of 16 Oct came and went and I now have a proposed final fitting date of 12 Dec(!), with the possibility of a discussion(!) of compensation after the work has been completed, when I don't have a leg to stand on.
All through this experience customer service has been poor. In contrast, I have just had a new front door fitted but it needed a spy hole, missing from the original order. Initially charged extra for the spy hole, the customer service team was all over it, couldn't do enough to keep me happy, refunding my additional outlay for the spy hole and keeping me informed almost daily of every step of progress. This has not happened with Sansom's, where I have had to chase for responses and updates, despite costing 6 times more than a new composite front door with all the trimmings! If you've had a good experience with this company, I'm very happy for you, however I am seriously considering asking for my money back, especially as the discussion of any compensation has been ignored. I'm furious! This has been an horrendous experience.

Had my first service this week, of my Markilux Pergola, which was supplied by Samson Outdoor Living.
Chris and Joseph arrived promptly in the morning, considering that had a long journey to get to my address. They promptly started the work entailed and checked the open and closing of the pergola, making necessary adjustments where required. Plus all other necessary checks on the uptight supports and the LED lights.
Chris explained all the work that they had done and gave me some very informative advice regarding cleaning the fabric. Both Chris and Joseph were very respectful of my property and once they had cleaned up their tools etc, it was as if they had never been here, apart from the fact that my pergola had been fully serviced and was left in perfect working order. A great job done by two very pleasant gentleman and a very great customer experience. Well done and keep up the great work! 👍

We had good communications with Samson. Amanda was friendly and helpful. There was a glitch somewhere along the way and there was a delay with installation, but I believe that was an unusual problem with the supply chain. Micky and Joseph were excellent. Very professional, hardworking and tidy. They worked all day without even a coffee break in order to complete the installation. They cleared up and removed every scrap of rubbish.

During the sales cycle Amanda was very helpful and answered all our queries quickly and efficiently.

The two guys (Chris & Bel ?) who did the install were very efficient, did a great job and went out of thier way to make sure that we were happy with all their work and fully aware of the Awning operation, operating conditions and weather issues.

We woud recommend this company for the purchase and installation of awnings, and if we needed any work carrying out on our garage doors we would certainly ask them for a quote as the installers were also very knowledgeable about that also.

Our only slight niggle was that the installation date slipped a few days, from a hot period to the current colder weather, so we missed the Awning for a few days when it would have been really useful. However we appreciate that things can go wrong in supply chains at all stages.

From Amanda in the office to Micky and Joe installing the pergola, the whole exercise was effortless. Amanda was amazing, she was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, brilliant communication and very patient with me on deciding colours, sizes etc. Micky and Joe definitely knew what they were doing. They were very professional, friendly and tidied up after themselves and showed us how the pergola worked - twice, to make sure we understood but without making us feel silly. I cannot recommend them enough!

Very good start to finish. The office was prompt and responsive to our enquiry and then provided an easily understandable quote. The site survey was arranged quickly and the surveyor who attended was informative and explained our options. He also shared his experience as to awning colour, texture etc. Micky and Joe carried out the instal on 12th August in scorching hot temperatures. All done very tidily within two hours and they gave a clear demonstration of the operation of the awning. Excellent service.

The quality of the awning and the installation experience (Micky and Joe were fantastic!) were excellent. We're delighted with it and it has transformed the enjoyment of our house/garden. Would have given it 5 stars except for a slightly disappointing post- sales experience, but that's in the past and we're looking forward to being able to enjoy 12 months of British weather instead of the usual 3!

Micky and Joe installed our awning very professionally. They called me to let me know when they were coming which I appreciated. They worked together very well and they were polite to my wife and myself. They answered any questions that we asked. They worked quickly but did not rush. Before they left they cleaned up after themselves and checked that the awning worked properly. They also explained how to operate the awning. I can honestly say that I would recommend Samson Outdoor Living to anyone wanting an awning.

I recently purchased a Markilux 1600 Stretch Semi-Cassette Retractable awning from Samson Outdoor Living. Throughout the whole process, after initially attending their showroom, selecting the a suitable awning that was fit for purpose with the assistance of Vicky the sales person and the subsequent attendance of the sales person to my home confirming the measurements, ensuring the awning selected would fit and confirming colour selection prior to delivery and fitting. The whole process was seamless and professional throughout without issue. In my case the whole process from attending the showroom to fitting took around six weeks. The communications throughout this period was excellent and on the day of the fitting, the installers were Micky and Joe turned up on time, both were polite, professional and experienced. Installing our new awning within 2 hours. I was impressed with their professionalism.
For the past month were have been using the new awning on a daily basis especially during these recent heatwaves, the awning has been a absolute blessing, we have enjoyed sitting outside on our patio for many hours, something we would not have been able to enjoy without the new awning. These awnings are not cheap but an investment into enjoying something much more in your home, I only wished we did years ago.
I can certainly recommend buying a quality awning through Samson Outdoor Living and experiencing the hassle free professional service they offered.

The fitters that installed my new pergola awning (Micky and Brett) were very efficient.
They arrived on time, made minimum mess, tidied up afterwards, and gave me full instruction on how to use the awning, and warnings about which order to close it.
The awning does everything I had hoped, and even though it was windy today, the main section hardly moved. The front valance was blowing around too much to use, but that is understandable.
