Damaged Property, No Compensation, and Poor Customer Service
That was the last trip my wife and I will take with SAS. We have both now deleted our customer accounts with the airline.
The reason for this decision is that SAS was directly responsible for the damage to my eyeglasses. The damage occurred as a result of oversized items that exceeded the permitted cabin baggage limits but were nevertheless accepted and stored in the cabin by the crew.
In addition, one of the crew members physically pushed me during the incident because she was in a hurry for the aircraft to depart.
I formally requested reimbursement of NOK 4,000, which represents the replacement cost of my eyeglasses. However, SAS refused to compensate me for the damage.
To make matters worse, SAS did not provide a response until almost three months after the incident. After this lengthy delay, my claim was ultimately rejected, despite the circumstances described above.
The worst airline experience I have had — extra costs and a rejected claim
I have flown many times over the years, and this was the worst airline experience I have had.
On 31 August 2026, my mother and I travelled with SAS from Dublin via Oslo to Bergen, with a separately booked onward bus journey to Haugesund. At Oslo Airport, we tried to change our flight to a direct service to Haugesund. We spent approximately an hour and a half looking for help. The SAS service desks we found were unattended despite their displayed opening hours. When we eventually reached a staffed desk, our request to change the flight was refused.
Our Oslo–Bergen flight, SK271, was delayed. We received successive notifications moving the departure time to 16:20, then 16:45, then 17:10. After the delay, we missed our booked onward bus connection and had to pay another NOK 1,022 for replacement bus tickets for the two of us. I reached home at approximately 02:00 instead of around 21:00. The whole journey was exhausting and deeply distressing.
We also saw another passenger crying because she could not get a ticket for the last bus and urgently needed to reach her destination. We at least had tickets for the very late service; she did not. I was left feeling that SAS did not care how passengers would complete their journeys or what additional costs they would face.
I asked SAS to reimburse that documented additional expense and supplied the receipts. On 9 September, SAS refused, referring to the flight arriving within two hours of the scheduled time. Their response did not separately address my claim for the replacement bus expense in a meaningful way.
I understand that delays happen. What I find unacceptable is the combination of difficulty finding help, the failed attempt to change our flight, the extra cost and the dismissive handling of the complaint afterwards.
A trip I had dreamed about for more than 30 years, to see Bon Jovi, ended with the worst journey home I can remember. Based on this experience and the subsequent customer service, I would not recommend SAS. One star.
Lost my bag and don't seem to care
Lost my bag and don't seem to care - returning your bag when they can be bothered is not compensation enough
hostile customer service
Indecently rubbish customer service. Problem with a cancellation and also bonuspoints credited. Flight was cancelled, transferred to Swiss air. Two weeks later no bonus points were credited to my account. On SAS website there is no longer a contact form. It's even impossible to find a phone number. And I am a Gold Member...I tried a form for 'compensation' and explained the problem. I get an actual written reply, advising me to use the AI chat (again). Which is completely useless, as it only allows for very prescribed topics. Even if the topic fits, you dont get anywhere if your problem just falls slightly beside the usual as the form does not allow you to progress if some info is not filled out....I live in Switzerland. I finally found the SAS number in Norway....first call announced 60 min waiting time, despite Gold Card priority....second call 20 minutes waiting....The guy tried to help, but only sent a message to the Eurobonus team....a week later no resolution...so I have to call again.....It is obvious that SAS website is designed to block as much customer contact as possible. People just giving up due to enormous time wasted trying to get in contact....I fly once a month to norway...I will now change to Swiss and Norwegian. Thanks for nothing SAS....

Absolutely disgusted by the lack of support. I bought a brand-new Samsonite suitcase for £179 just 12 hours before my flight SK223 (OSL-KRS). SAS baggage handling completely destroyed it on its very first trip. Trip.com (my booking agent) is refusing to take responsibility or mediate the case, telling me to deal with it alone. I love my Samsonite luggage like my own children, and seeing it ruined due to absolute negligence is heartbreaking. I demand immediate compensation from SAS and real support from Trip.com!

Horrible airline company and ZERO customer service . Long story short - they cancelled my flight without notification. And from Svalbard is not many choices to flight out . I lost 4 different flights and a lot of money . I called to customer service and they confirm that they cancelled my flight with not explanation - waiting time average 60 minute on phone ( maybe you hire more customer agent to run your shitty business !!!!) one agent promised book alternative but after be on hole 40 min he just dropped and did not book anything . I love Norway a lot but this airline is nightmare .
Just a bad airline
Just a bad airline - i have no words for how bad the customer support at Oslo airpot, via phone and even after the flight was. They ask people to contact them first, before contacting flight right companies, which I did. the result was silence from them for 2 months. meaning they are just hoping for people to forgett - if you have cancelations with SAS, just go straight to the companies getting you your money. google will tell you which ones those are.
Cancelled flight
SAS cancelled my flight a few hours prior to departure. Rebooking next day with overnight in another city. Customer service terrible. Booked new on Norwegian and will only go with them from now on.
Their now out sourced online chat with a human gives invalid inbformation
Their after service is terrible. After bring reassured on the online customer service human that I could use SAS to connect with an AirCanada flight, with a specific baggage item. I was greeted at the airport and a hard NO. I had the print out of the chat conversation, this did not change anything. I was told that SAS have outsourced their online support and some of the results were not inline with policy, and as such such advise was void. Naturally I would of chosen a different airline and route had I been offered valid information at the time of booking.
I complained, and was told, claim on my travel insurance. This airline failed to take responsibility for invalid information and the consequential costs is no concern of SAS!
Poor customer service
Have been waiting 3 months to be reimbursed for expenses incurred due to a flight cancellation. Customer service is not responsive.
Terrible service
Accidently book one day later than i was supposed too, tried to change it and was told they won't help me. Some of the worst customer service ive had since air canada

Billetten min tur-retur «forsvant» i systemet slik at jeg måtte ombooke to nye billetter og betale omtrent 6000kr for en tur-retur billett fra Bergen-copenhagen
Worst customer service ever
Customer Service is not able to solve simple cases, cases get lost, and you need to re-explain the problem 5 times without any success. False promises and a waste of customers' time
Poor customer service
Only use SAS if you are sure you never need customer service. SAS lost me as a customer today due to very poor and disappointing customer service.
SAS Systematically Violates the Montreal Convention – Beware of the “Lasting Value” Scam
SAS is deliberately ignoring International Law (Montreal Convention) to avoid paying legitimate baggage delay claims. Our bags were delayed for 4 days in the Arctic (Lofoten). With no gear in sub-zero temperatures and a pre-paid ski itinerary, we were forced to buy technical safety equipment after 72 hours of SAS silence.
Despite a documented loss of €2,020 for two passengers, SAS arbitrarily applied a 50% “lasting value” deduction, paying only €747. This is a direct violation of Article 26 of the Montreal Convention, which states that any internal policy used to lower the carrier's liability is null and void.
Furthermore, SAS has completely ignored our first claim (Case 07515608) for essentials, focusing only on applying illegal deductions to the second (Case 07520103). Their customer service is a wall of copy-pasted scripts that ignore the law and the fact that we are two passengers with a combined legal limit of ~€3,700.
We have now filed a formal complaint with the Norwegian Transportklagenemnda to recover the remaining €1,273 plus statutory interest.
SAS: Stop hiding behind "internal policies" that violate international treaties. Pay your passengers what you legally owe.

To be honest if I could give 0 stars I would. Long weekend trip with both outward and return flights cancelled. Treated like a mushroom throughout, misinformation from customer services and in general get a feeling they don’t give a monkeys. This is the impact of profit over people and lack of respect to their customers. Who would believe it takes 24 hrs to travel get between Trondheim and Stavanger.
Fude SAS
Fude SAS, they are shit . My luggage was delayed and got it delivered 3 days late. The flight was Oslo to Dublin on a monday morning, the luggage is expected on thursday. Terrible customer service
I've been flying from Stavanger airport…
I've been flying from Stavanger airport for 7 years, but this time I had a terrible experience with the people there, they didn't let me board even though my ticket was fine, and I wasn't even warned in advance that there would be a problem with the ticket! What I understood from them is that the ticket was bought with a hidden city and that it would have been cheaper, so the people from SAS canceled my ticket and notified me 15 minutes before boarding! Although I had a guarantee on the ticket, I didn't receive my money or any other flight instead! 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
