Recently I had a short consultation with Mrs Porter at Chester office. She was very concise and up to the point. The guidance I’ve been given was detailed with step by step required actions. Her advice helped me to win court hearing even though I represented my interest myself.

I was guided through a complex case with patience and professionalism. All my queries were quickly answered, and I felt that I was kept fully in touch with all aspects. Issues were explained and resolved efficiently, and basically I felt I was well looked after.

With a short window to complete on a limited company mortgage I thought I'd be in good hands with SAS Daniels. I specifically wanted dual representation for speed, and having checked with SAS, we set sail.

It took the best part of a month before SAS Daniels came back to me to inform me they weren't on the lender's panel after all. Apparently they'd discovered this when they were close to completing for another client - ouch. I'm just pleased we didn't get this far, I would definitely have lost my mortgage.
Their suggestion to wait until they'd fulfilled the criteria for the lender's panel really wasn't feasible when there was absolutely no guaranteed timescale in this (whilst my mortgage offer ticked away). Whilst SAS D blamed the lender for this mix up, I expect solicitors to be absolutely meticulous in all detail and this really is quite a rookie error.

In the weeks before SAS Daniels did realise they couldn't take on this case, their main activity was trying to get me to alter my company articles at a cost of over £700 incl VAT. Had my lender asked for this? No. But apparently "they might" said SAS D....and raised the issue with my lender themself. Thanks for that guys. (Fortunately my lender recognised that the issue they raised was actually academic as I am the sole director and share holder.)

I later changed solicitors to Poole Alcock in Northwich and curiously this "issue" disappeared without me having to spend over £700, and everything was completed with speed and ease.

Would I recommend SAS D? No.
Would I use them again? No.
