Onboard experience is acceptable with nice staff and relatively modern fleet. However, website and frequent flyer website are utterly abysmal. Not fit for purpose and utterly embarrassing. Waste yo... See more

Saudia is one of the most unorganised…
Saudia is one of the most unorganised and most disrespectful airlines we have ever travelled. Right from booking to flights and baggage’s operations all services are just crap. Online booking system and complaint handling is obnoxious and unfriendly. Air hostess and hosts are rude and uncouth. I recommend all to avoid this airline at all time and do not fall trap in their ticket price.
By far the worst airline I have ever…
By far the worst airline I have ever flown on . I only used them as it was direct to Riyadh. Confusing booking systems from the start . Check in was great at Manchester as its local baggage agents but that’s when it started to go downhill ..
awful truly awful staff on board who look down there noses at you don’t want to serve you food or drinks think it’s below them . The Dreamliner is a great plane cannot fault it but they managed to ruin the experience. Food on board was a joke inedible and tasteless mush both to KSA and the return .
I was barked at by a stewardess for waiting to use the bathroom no return to seat etc warning lights just a bad attitude from stewardess’s on board.
Return flight as we waited told with 10 minutes to go to boarding that flight gate changed no announcements just a change on the board many elderly and disabled no doubt missed the flight as it was at the other end of the terminal ! Again same arrogant Saudi staff who have a very high opinion of themselves and look down on all other people . Food awful I simply refused it .
I did complain as I left the look on their faces total disbelief.
Flown on them all but never repeat never will I fly on this airline again elitist better than you attitude of this lot spoils the airline . I suggest employing other nationals like other Middle Eastern airlines and leave the Saudis at home
Booked a trip of a lifetime to take my…
Booked a trip of a lifetime to take my 82 year old partner to Thailand to visit her son who lives there. Unable to book seats until the flights were booked, as she is elderly and can't walk long distances we booked wheelchair to the gates and in transit. Now there's a problem because of the booked assistance she isn't allowed an aisle seat, she can cancel it and then be allowed to sit easily and have loo access or keep it an be relegated to an internal seat and have to keep moving the aisle passenger. Saudia call centre couldn't have cared less, gave me a false email addresses for customer care.
No body cares, no customerservice at all. AVOID
Worst airline service ever
booked a ticket from Casablanca to Tashkent with a transit in Jeddah. My experience with this airline was an absolute nightmare.
The first flight from Casablanca was delayed by over 4 hours. Instead of accommodating me properly, I was denied boarding because they claimed I wouldn’t make my connection in Jeddah. I was rebooked for the next day and promised hotel accommodation and meal vouchers. I never received any meal vouchers, and the hotel was filthy — dirty room, used bed sheets, and completely unacceptable conditions.
The next day, things got even worse. Despite holding valid boarding passes for the rebooked flight, I was denied boarding again in Casablanca, this time because I was “not in the system.” No real assistance was offered, and I was left stranded for the second day in a row.
This airline failed on every level: delays, incompetence, lack of communication, zero accountability, and no respect for passengers. Instead of being treated with basic care, I was ignored and dismissed.
If you value your time, money, or sanity, avoid this airline, especially if it’s from a Moroccan airport because their personnel is just on the lowest level imaginable of incompetence.
Worst ever airline never go with Saudia
Worst ever airline never go with Saudia
If I could give zero stars to Saudia…
If I could give zero stars to Saudia Airlines, I would. My experience was nothing short of a nightmare.
I checked in two bags on my flight from New York (JFK) to Jeddah (May 14, 2025). Due to unforeseen circumstances, I couldn’t complete my journey — but my luggage did. Since then, Saudia has completely failed to assist me in recovering it. Despite multiple emails with all details provided (names, flight number, baggage tags, photos, etc.), their baggage services team has shown nothing but silence and negligence.
No claim number, no updates, no effort to locate the bags — just endless frustration. These bags contain essential personal items, and Saudia’s inaction is unacceptable for an international airline that claims to care about its passengers.
Saudia clearly does not value customer service or responsibility. Losing baggage happens — but refusing to respond, assist, or take ownership is unprofessional and disgraceful. I am now forced to escalate this issue through aviation authorities, consumer protection, and legal action.
Travelers beware: if Saudia mishandles your baggage or fails to deliver on basic service, don’t expect any accountability. This airline has been my worst travel experience to date
They delayed our flight for 2 weeks…
They delayed our flight for 2 weeks back in November of last year, and we were not asking for a refund, just a letter stating why, so we could claim the money spent on new tickets through our insurance. Guess what, not only did they not provide that, but the agent was so rude, stating why should we help you. Shame on you, and we will never ever use saudi ever again. We fly to Pakistan every year
Best experience ever !
Best experience ever !! I took a flight with a transfer at Jeddah and it was just amazing. The staff was so attentive to every need we had. I recommend this airline ! It was a pleasure flying with the aircraft staff in both flights.
AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID
NIGHTMARE- I had a Manila to Manchester ticket. I was about to leave for the airport and received a message that the flight was RESCHEDULED TO 6 DAYS LATER. What!!!! There was no explanation and NO ATTEMPT to find me another flight. Imagine if I was in a hotel with kids (need to return to school) and I needed to get back to work. We would need to check in to a hotel again and suffer ENORMOUS DISRUPTION and COST. I refused the schedule and bought a flight with Emirates the next day (they have NEVER let me down) . ONLY saving grace- the refund was only a few days. AVOID AVOID AVOID
Poorest Client experience of my life
My luggage missed my connection flight and arrived several days later. I had to buy first aid clothes and tooth brush, soap, etc. Following my luggage claim, Saudia offered me a refund voucher of 230€ which I accepted but was never able to get as refund process blocked because I never received a security control SMS on my mobile phone. All data was correct (they even asked and got my passport copy, my bank data, ...) but process did not work. I sent 4 emails to GUEST RELATIONS BAGGAGE without any response. I called the Intl Guest Relations but, after 20 minutes talking, I was told I had to find a SAUDIA desk or shop and try to unblock with them !!! All this took me approximately 8 hrs for nothing. One of the poorest Client experience of my life ! You will NEVER see me and my family on a SAUDIA flight again !
Harsh Service - No Compassion towards paying customers
Very disappointed with Saudi Airlines
I was supposed to be at the gate 20 minutes before departure. On my way, I urgently had to use the toilet, so I arrived 15 minutes before instead of 20 — effectively 5 minutes late. Even though the plane was still there and not moving, I was told the gate was closed and that I had to buy another ticket. They ignored my pleas and showed no mercy, even when I explained that I urgently needed to get home.
I could have booked with a cheaper provider like Wizz Air or others, but I deliberately chose Saudi Airlines and paid a lot more because I believed that, in case of disruption, my luggage would be guaranteed to transfer to the next flight. Unfortunately, this trust was misplaced.
I bought another ticket, which was very expensive. The staff promised my luggage would be transferred to the new flight. I double-checked with different operators after receiving a text saying my bag was still in Jeddah. Both times I was reassured that my luggage had been boarded onto my new flight. However, when I landed at Heathrow, I waited a long time at the belt only to find that my luggage had not arrived. At the customer service desk, I was told my bag was still in Jeddah. They had lied to me. The Heathrow operator even said she was not surprised.
To make matters worse, I had important items in my luggage. The delay caused me significant stress, as my bag only arrived several days later. In the meantime, I called the number provided to me at Heathrow many times and even sent emails, but Saudi Airlines never answered or responded regarding my luggage.
I understand that Saudi Arabia is trying hard to modernise and match Western standards. But if this had been in the UK, US, or Europe, airlines often show compassion — many times rebooking missed flights free of charge. A good friend of mine once missed his flight to New York, and the airline not only put him on the next one free of charge but also gave him a hotel stay with breakfast.
My advice: if Saudi Airlines truly wants to match Western hospitality, they should look inward first. Islam teaches mercy, honesty, and kindness to guests. Lying to passengers and treating them with disdain does not reflect the beauty of the religion. In many ways, Westerners are unknowingly practising Islamic values through their good manners and care for paying customers.
Allah says in the Qur’an:
“And if you turn away, He will replace you with another people; then they will not be the likes of you.”
(Surah Muhammad 47:38, Sahih International)
Saudi Airlines should reconsider its harsh practices, especially towards guests travelling to the House of God.
Overselled
Overselled
Overselled, my flight actually doesn’t exist, and arranged part of passengers to next flight, some of us have to wait for next day, and no explanation no compensation, I waste much money on hotel and train, they even don’t have normal ability, IIt first time and last time to take them, no business reputation!
Flight cancelled, delayed
My London–Karachi flight in July was cancelled/changed, resulting in a 19.5-hour delay. Under UK261, we are entitled to compensation, but despite submitting multiple complaint forms and emails, I’ve had no case number or proper response for over 40 days.
I contacted Saudia via email, but they replied saying they can’t do much.
Has anyone faced a similar issue with Saudia? How did you get your claim resolved? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I wish I can give them negative stars.
I wish I can give them negative stars.
Absolutely careless staff at Jeddah Airport.
Keep us waiting at checkin counter and blame us of noshow after issuing boarding pass.
We complain but nobody listen.
We had to buy 4 ticket again.
Avoid these criminal jokers.
Horrendous customer service.
Horrendous customer service.
My baggage got lost on this airline in Apr 25, been trying to get in touch since but no cooperation from Saudi airline at all.
AVOID at all costs.
I travelled from London Heathrow to…
I travelled from London Heathrow to Riyadh with Saudi airlines. I have to say it was probably one of the best flight experiences I have ever had. I am a nervous flier, so I was as always very anxious prior to this flight, I was attending my daughter’s wedding so I had to go. There was a lot of leg space and there was a blanket and a pillow on the seat waiting for me. A tv screen on the back of every seat, with a charging port for my phone. There was a great selection of films to choose from. The captain was very communicative which I found very reassuring and the cabin crew were very attentive. I have a gluten free diet, which was provided for and was very tasty. The flight was very smooth, with little turbulence, always a plus for me and both take off and landing were smooth as well. I really can’t praise this airline enough, they made a very anxious flier reassured and happy.
The worst airline EVER. YouTube video to follow!
Our flights were cancelled without explanation. After we returned, we found out we could claim compensation.
After weeks of emailing, I was given 3 vouchers as compensation for my refund. I have emailed their back office for an update to the vouchers being refunded to my account. It has now been 3 weeks and still no refund.
My friends were on the same flight as me and they have already had their refunds and compensation.
I have chased this over 3 times now and thier back office tell me they are waiting to hear back from their finance department. How can 2 departments not communicate within a company? It makes no sense
My friend has over 100,000 subscribers on YouTube and we will be posting a full video of the experience on YouTube. Including the rude staff at the airport, the lack of communication and the experience after.
I urge everyone to watch the video before booking flights with SAUDIA to Ummrah as I'm sure it will SHOCK you.
Good service and on time, give or take
Manila to London via Jedah. A few minutes delay at Manila, but not many / much. Very good check in staff. Great flight staff. Jedah nice modern airport. Inexpensive and very fast (stop over just over 2 hours, total just over 20 hours total flight / stopover which beats Qatar). Perfect!
BTW all the one star reviews on Trustpilot do not reflect those on tripadvisor or the industry report on timeliness and fewer cancellations; Saudia came 4th which is very very very good.
Avoid Saudi Airlines at all costs
Avoid Saudi Airlines at all costs – Worst airline experience of my life
I booked an expensive direct flight from Jeddah to Munich for my wife and two kids (9 years old and a 3-month-old baby). We purchased the tickets 8 months in advance. At check-in, the staff coldly told my wife the flight was overbooked and her seats were given away – simply because she didn’t do online check-in. This is outrageous. A mother with a newborn and child left stranded because of poor management and zero sympathy.
Instead of the direct 5-hour flight we paid for, she was forced on a 10-hour nightmare through Rome with layovers, carrying a newborn. No apology, no empathy, no compensation – just arrogance and excuses.
This is not just bad service – it is disrespect for passengers, negligence, and a total failure in airline management.
For anyone considering flying Saudia: don’t. Choose a professional airline like Qatar Airways, Emirates, or Etihad – airlines that actually care about families and honor the tickets you purchase.
Saudia has proven itself unreliable, unsympathetic, and unprofessional. Never again.
Terrible experience! They are Liars!
Their flights are almost always delayed. Got to the gate and the plane and staff were there but they did not let me board saying the gate is closed and my luggage is taken off. They tried selling me a business class ticket for the next flight, but I refused and purchased with Emirates. When I reached my destination the airport staff informed that Saudi left my luggage there a day before from the flight I missed. They clearly lied to me! Then they cancelled my return flight and refunded me peanuts back. My same tickets were being sold for almost triple the price. There customer service skills are zero, they don’t care about customers, just want to make money!
