Got 2 of 6 with profit on the May 1 list, did not receive my May 8 stock list

To be perfectly honest I read him letter to me which I thought was great and very honest. I am a novice when it comes to Stocks. I should tell u that I do not know Options.

I am in Australia with a U.S Option account,
I have had it for about 5yrs and have only lost money.
Schaeffer's have with their education and time I have registered for restored my hope for success in options trading.

Schaeffer's investment research is comprehensive, instructive and helpful for beginners.

Touted the Extreme V $497 course for $7 which was only very basic info on straddles. The material could easily be found on anywhere. The Extreme V Vip video (21 minutes) was again introductory and merely an infomercial for SIR. If I had known the material was about straddles, I would not have purchased. The courses should be free.

I think the Schaffer history speaks volumes.

I just paid $95 for good looking in advertisement subscription. However it was no details in it. Details came later after I responded next day to the account Manager phone call. And he honestly told me I will get only 8 trades recommendations per year. Now it became clear why this subscription was so cheap. I asked if I can cancel it but was given very lame excuse why not.

I had several subscriptions to their alert services and were mostly losing trades and not performing as expected and wanted to switch to another product. I called the company and spoke to a rep, did not expect a refund and the rep said could not do the switch as the subscriptions were heavily discounted the way it was. The rep recommended another product and said would give me credit for my current subscriptions and apply it to new service. He said they would monitor my trades for 90 days and if I wasn't happy, would only cost me a small amount for that quarter. I advised the rep I didn't want to put any more money into their services. The rep went to to tell me about their winning trades and success rate. I said I wasn't interested as I was not having success with my current products and didn't want to purchase new products. Rep was very short with me, he said he tried to help me and hung up. Have run into this before where companies refuse to do anything. Maybe it is time to refer this to the proper govt or state agency for review

I've subscribed for a couple of months now and have gone back and looked at his recent (4-5 months) recommendations and results. The answer is - this guy and his company recommendations are CRAP. I didn't calculate and exact percentage of losers to winners but it is somewhere around 75% losers, 25% neutral or winners. I will keep watching the recommendations but not investing until his picks get better.

Stay away from this company. Recommendations are total failure and you can't get your moneyback.

I am writing this review to save a fellow trader from falling in the trap of Schaeffer's Investment Research. They offer multiple subscriptions saying they offer money back guarantee. 80% of their recommendation do not work. You will loose your capital. I have proof. When you ask for cancellation of service or money back they say its not your bank to give it back. Please help your self, by staying away from them. Find a better one.

Schaeffer's Investment Research advertises sending out trade recommendations "targeting gains of 100% to 200% or more" another "Target potential profits of up to 150%". Each subscription comes with a money back guarantee to achieve a set number of recommendations with a set % profit in a set time frame.
They do send out a ton of recommendations, the kicker is less than 30% were actually profitable. I did receive my money back on one subscription, as they did not achieve the min. The second subscription actually hit the min over 2 years, but that doesn't add up to profitable trading with less than 30% winning trades.
I'm embarrassed to have fallen for what I can only describe as a scam, and I'm truly saddened by how much of my hard earned money I have lost using Shaeffer's Investment recommendations.
Do not fall for the manipulative advertising.

I have subscribed for their news letter for about 50$ a month ago while was on the plane. As soon as I have arrived home, I got a call from "account manager" who suggested to extend my subscription while such extension was on sale. He said it was only 22.95 and in any case they give 100% satisfaction guarantee, so I had nothing to lose. I said okay - I can afford extra 28.95.
A few days later I have checked my account and found a charge of 2995.00$ there. I emailed immediately to cancel this subscription and refund me money. One month later there was no response or refund, so I emailed them again. This time they replied with explanation what exactly their "satisfaction guarantee" means. It means that I am committed to 90 days of trial and later can use the deposited funds towards paying for another course etc.
So it looks like when they say satisfaction guaranteed they mean their own satisfaction, not the customer's. In short - be aware - they will try to rob you by deceit or any other means

Just in the first week of being with Schaeffer's, I would recommend investing with Schaeffer's recommendations and if you need any help you will receive it. John Voss has been a blessing for me by helping to explain my questions and has given me a lot of insight on how the stock works and options. I have a lot more to learn and I believe they will be the ones to help me through my learning curve. Thank you
