We have 12 schindler lifts in the building and comprehensive AMC is also given to them. But, the service is pathetic and frequently breaks down. More so their toll free number are worst and just cutthe call..
Advise is Don't go in for Schildler lifts
Awful service and always broken lifts
Avoid at all costs, the other reviews say it all. Use Otis, they are much much better.
Unreliable equipment and service
We are constantly having to call Schindlers to fix the lift when it breaks down. Recently a young family were trapped in it and Schindler said the engineer could not come for several hours. We ended up calling the fire brigade instead. We get billed every time with no explanation of what the fault was, then it breaks again a week or so later. Really bad customer servce. Unreliable equipment.
This company is worst elevator company
This company is worst elevator company, they have no work ethics and just black mail you after receiving payment, they escalate the cost at time of delivery and you have no other option other than to surrender to their unethical demands, installation process is very untimely and un professional, they have a team of dacoits from sales to cluster head, i am sharing my personal experience of dealing with them in gurgaon haryana. Even company can feel free to contact me.

Stuck in a Schindler lift, emergency response call unanswered
I live in a building of five floors, for the last 2 years our 2 Schindler lifts have had maintenance problems which are never truly fixed (because they keep happening) and take an absolute age and cost a fortune. Case in point a full refurb of one lift was carried out - it took over 4 months and cost £80,000 and today I got stuck in it with my elderly father. We tried the emergency response button and the call was not answered, luckily I could contact someone else in the building who found another number for them. Their lifts are absolutely useless and their customer care even worse. I’m now considering moving home because of the poor reliability of Schindler lifts to me
Trapped inside Schindler lift
I became trapped inside a Schindler lift which broke down when I was inside. This was within a hospital, so would have been a dangerous situation if an unwell patient was trapped inside unable to access medical assistance.
I used the emergency button within the lift to call for help, but only moments after I started speaking to someone else over the intercom the call was disconnected/put on hold automatically and never resumed. This happened several times in succession. The only way that I was able to get help was to ring the hospital that the lift was in and report the issue and ask them to send an engineer to fix the broken lift. An engineer arrived around 90 minutes later and to their credit, they were able to release the doors quite quickly, although the lift still remains out of service as the initial fault hasn’t been fixed.
My main concern with Schindler is that when I pressed their emergency help button within the lift, the call was cut off/put on hold for very extended periods of time repeatedly. This is a huge safety issue as it would be dangerous to have someone trapped in a lift without any way to get help.
Absolutely disgusted
Im a resident in a building with Schindler lifts. This building has 4 floors and multiple flats are occupied by families with young children who rely on the lift as they have prams etc. We have been struggling for 8 days now without our lift with no end in sight. Noone can even give an update yet. A lift should be fixed within 48hours maximum. Its absolutely disgusting to leave a residential building without a working facility for so long.
Poor aftersales service
A lift is something you have to rely on if you are incapacitated. Therefore, when it breaks down, you expect a speedy response.
But not from Schindler who, amazingly do not have a UK parts warehouse. Everything has to be sent from Europe.
So, what should take place the next day takes at least a week.
Hopeless.

Very low value for money
Very low value for money. I have tried so many times to call and/or write to this company. The never respond allthough we have a contract. They are very expensive, an compared with similair companies, they are really slow. You will be very lucky if they are answering your messages.
Extremely poor service fixing a lift 2 weeks
Extremely poor service in fixing a lift. Their lift. The only lift in an upmarket development. 2 weeks and still counting. Reading Rg1
