Disgrace for a company..
Place an order for a Scooter on 2nd August NO Scooter has arrived. Lost we are told in delivery. I cannot get hold of Scootmax... To sort this. The customer care is a disgrace.. This company is a joke and shouldn't be allowed to trade.. Currently Saturday 12th August and still no explanation from Scootmax. I've sent emails asking for either my money back or another scooter. Guess what NO reply. DO NOT PURCHASE A PRODUCT FROM THIS BUNCH OF JOKERS..
Not the best of quality made…
Not the best of quality made definitely not worth 350 in the sale!! let alone the full price stated its discounted from ! It Took ages to be dilivered even tho its said dispatched in 24hours.. then it arrived a good few weeks later from date ordered.. when i finially put it together it was a pain to try connect to the app and the battery charger was damaged !! I Couldnt connect for ages to the scooter untill finally i was sent a video on how to reset the scooter to connect to blue tooth ... first of all tho i was sent a app link that wasn't safe to download..told them I will not download it .. but when I got sent instructions finally to rest scooter the app worked .. it is OK app but not the best and has issues ... i Can't lock the scooter ect unless your right next to it so defeats the object of it gets stolen to find it a and make its locked down also make my phone run strange since downloading the app ... also massive issue within the first few days with the rear Fender breaking!! It was flimsy and snapped as it kept shaking and has no support... i was told to order new one from ali baber but i dont have a account with them so had to try a amazon link to order one ... took a very long time to get stuff resolved ... but in the end I was refunded for the rear Fender and battery pack replacement... the Fender tho i was told to order its a bloody pain to try re attach and un screw the whole bottom the scooter and still can't fix it as its not the correct length wire for attachmemt to the break light... so can't even use the replacement light for it !! also the battery wasn't screwed in!! customer service was slow and delayed but I will say someone called Alex helped me in the end and was very understanding ... also it said the scooter on recipient was only 140 euro... so how comes we have been charged so much for cheap quality!! Apparently its a no1 scooter online so trusted it to be....but honestly I wouldn't purchase from scootmax again and wouldn't order if you have any scence reading the reviews to avoid massively and stick to something in the UK you can have warranty with especially as If I was to send back I'd loose more money and a risk of even getting anything back or even get scooter sorted ..... least with the UK main shops i know if any issues arrise I can get resolved or replaced or repaired without the hassle. One thing that's good is the speed on these scooters from what I am told by my son its definitely nippy in the sport mode but haven't tryd it myself.. the wheels also wear easy so can see after 3 weeks of using on a couple of occasions it needs a new back tyre also ... not impressed 😕
Scootmax don't bother
I searched web for best scooter for adult and had recommendation that Scootmac we number 1 so I bought. Took a while to arrive. When it did the cable entry grommets were lose. It worked OK but instructions had no info regarding Bluetooth app operation. There was no QR code on the manual or on the scooter
After 40+ emails to Alex, I gave up and took a £30 refund.
Don't bother with this lot. There are just as good scooters out there.
Avoid this company
Avoid this company. Bought a scooter from them which was all good at first. Then the rear fender broke while my son was riding it. Didn't really belive my son when he said it happened just riding along but gave him the benefit of the doubt. Emailed Scootmax about a replacement fender and they sent me a link to buy one off Amazon and would refund me £9. I went to fit the new fender when it arrived and found that the internal battery was loose when I turned the scooter over. On removing the base plate I found the 4 bolts that hold the battery in place had rattled free and one of the brackets had snapped. I'm guessing the one that was left with one bolt in after the other 3 had come out. In my opinion this was the cause of the fender breaking as when the battery has lunged forward the wire connected to the brake light in the fender has yanked it and caused it to snap. Reported my findings back to Scootmax who advised me to just pack the battery compartment with foam to stop it rattling about. Not good enough in my opinion and a total bodge. The bracket has failed through no fault of ours and I wanted the scooter replacing. They will not honour the warranty and I've had to get my credit card company involved to see if I can get my money back. If you do want one of these scooters all they are are xiaomi m365 branded under Scootmax and can be found cheaper online anyway from different sellers who hopefully have a better after sales and customer care than these chancers
Rogues
Rogues, Alex in the customer service department is useless. They sold me a scooter that doesn’t work! And consistently requests I send him videos of it not working! Do not waste your time or money on this rubbish ! And advise anyone never to deal with these thieves!
Rubbish scooter and untrustworthy company
Purchased scooter end of May been using it for few weeks and has started rattling in the base and stopped charging today decided to open it to see if loose connection but the 4 screws holding battery all came undone a wire connected to battery has snapped cheap materials used and complete waste of money and seems like a scam
This is an update to my earlier review
This is an update to my earlier review. So I bought a scooter on the 2nd June that is faulty, it is now the 28th of June and I still havent been given any information on how to return this scooter. The alleged sales director Alex refused to send me a return address or shipping labels. I have sent countless emails requesting return information but he wont send me it. So I am left with a scooter that cost me £329 that doesnt work.
Avoid this company.
This company is a scam
This company is a scam. To start with the scooter is a cheap duplicate of the Aovo scooter and by cheap i mean cheap. Electrics were faulty, advertised as having a 400w motor which is nonsense as it couldn't pull me up a small hill and i am only 85kgs. The scooter is supposed to be £529 on the webste but it is always on sale at £329. To make things worse there is a receipt in the box showing the scooter is worth 140 Euros. I tried to send this back due to the faulty electronics but they refused to send me return labels or return information, instead they offered me £45 to write 3 good reviews on trust pilot so for me that says it all. Also to return the scooter it has to be shipped to Germany.
Avoid this company at all costs and but from a branded uk retailer.
This company is not in the UK!!
This company is not in the UK!!! They sent a scooter with 8.5inch wheels when the advert is 10. As others have stated they are a joke when emailing you. Repeatedly asking for the order number which I already gave. Offered me £20 for the inconvenience of the wrong item. AVOID BUYING FROM THIS CHINESE COMPANY!!!!
Avoid like the plague
Avoid like the plague. After weeks of hell we finally got a refund . They send cheap copy’s that are nothing like the picture . Not interested and try to say you can’t return due to brexit .
