I've been a Scripted writer for over a decade. It's been the most fruitful working relationship I've ever had. I've been able to write for an incredibly diverse range of companies, gain valuable experience and bylines, and have a steady secondary source of income. It's been an amazing time, and I look forward to my relationship with them in the future.

Once they take your credit card, they won't stop billing you monthly and it's $199 a month so it starts to rake up! Even after I called and canceled, I am still getting billed. Meanwhile, I didn't use their service, not once. Beware.

Scam. Took $200 from me for nothing. STAY AWAY.

Absolutely terrible experience. I run a global non profit geared towards spreading kindness and I never post negative reviews. However, in this case I find it my obligation to do so as this company takes unfair of advantage of its customers. I tested the platform out as a one time thing and as they guaranteed their work, I felt confident. The service was nothing as I expected and so I figured no harm. I tested it invested $52 for a job and just simply wouldn’t use it again. I even I formed their team that I was unhappy with the service. At first it seems their customer care, truly cares about you as a customer. They requested to meet and I thought, “Good for them, they are trying to see where they can improve.” While I agreed, the meeting never took place and so I moved on with my life and Scripted was no longer a thought. Little did I know that they had my credit card on file and would proceed to charge my card $199/month. When I say down doing my books for the non profit, I noticed the charges and was taken aback. Not only are you unable to stop subscription from their site, you can’t remove your billing details without scheduling a call. I scheduled a call and received no help whatsoever. Not even an acknowledgment of how wrong and inappropriate it was to be charging my card without consent. This company is a scam in my opinion and I would stay far away. As a non profit dealing with the hardships of keeping things afloat during these times, this company is simply out to make a buck and take advantage of its customers.

Stay away. Scam company where you can't cancel your subscription and they keep auto charge you for monthly subscription.

Logged once to see the platform, signed up for 14 days trial. Got charged $400 without any note. Tried to find where to cancel and no luck, you have to contact them directly.

after I ordered the text and received it in the end. I paid for it.
after that, a month later, I was charged again 200 bucks, and support refused to return them to me.
200 bucks just for nothing.

I signed up for a Scripted trial that I never used. After being charged $200 I asked the company to return my money as I had never actually been provided a service. Although that request seemed reasonable, Scripted told me to do what I felt necessary in response to my request. So, per their direction I have been forced to claim fraud. This company is out for money and nothing more

I wrote for Scripted for many years. It was the only content site I found that actually offered consistent, fair pay to writers. No complaints here!

I've been working with Scripted for about 7 years. The platform has changed and grown a lot over those years. The platform can feel a bit wonky, especially when rolling out new features. All of the account managers and other employees are great, though, so problems get ironed out in the end. Diverse clients. Quick payments. Plenty of work. It's exactly what I look for as a freelance writer.

I had a couple of years of hiatus from freelance writing. Despite such stagnation though, Scripted was able to help me get back into the writing industry. The Writers' support is excellent, and there are curated jobs available for writers with different expertise.
They also have a tiered system that ensures you'll never grow too complacent in your craft.

SCAM! I signed up for a free trial and for 8 months they continue to charge my card!!! Ive tried to cancel it every way possible but they keep charging me. There is no way to cancel online and customer care just lie and say they will cancel it but never do. TOTAL SCAM!

Money grab - horrible site. They let you try a trial, but make it impossible for you to cancel. I sent an email to cancel and they responded with more offers. Took money out of my account without confirming that I wanted the service. A LOT of MONEY! TOTALLY A SCAM. I wish I had read the reviews before signing up.

SCAM! I paid for a service and received that service. All great until 2 weeks after I see a $199 charge on my credit card from Scripted for membership service. I never signed up for a membership and I logged into my account and there is nowhere that says anything about membership or a way to cancel that said membership. Emailed them but no response. Disputing the charge with the credit card company.

Some of these comments surprise me. I've been a writer and editor for Scripted for eight years now. I've had very few issues throughout my experience, and those were addressed quickly. Scripted's team is great about working with writers and clients if there are any concerns, and the site allows better communication than any other platform I've used (other than direct clients). The pay is fair, and most clients are easy to work with. As an editor, I can say the writing is top-notch, too. If you're a solid writer who needs a bit more work, give it a shot. As a website owner, I will absolutely use Scripted if I can't do the work myself.

Scripted's services are top-of-the-line. I get great content whenever I need it.
