Service/Support is incredibly poor!
Since Cupra UK don’t have a page (unsurprising really as not a lot of it would be positive).
The vehicle went in for a software update on the 31st July 23 which failed resulting in the loss of all sound from the vehicle, loss of parking sensors, loss of SOS capability, loss of voice capability, intermittent faults with Android Auto / Apple Car Play among further possible unknown faults.
Cupra Norwich attempted several reinstallations but I was advised into returning the courtesy car and collecting the vehicle and rebooking once they had confidence in their update procedure, at this time I was not told of the fact I had lost sound etc.
I raised a complaint with Cupra UK (Customer Service) as I was advised to do so by the dealer and requested a different service provider and I was assigned to Cupra Peterborough. They were quite helpful and initially inspected the vehicle advising a replacement control module needed to be ordered but they could not provide a lead time, suggesting potentially 6 weeks+.
I requested Cupra UK expedite this order and eventually was advised the part would arrive Saturday 14th October so I scheduled my vehicle with the dealer dropping it off 16th October (the dealer is roughly 40-60 mins away). I was then advised hours after dropping my vehicle off the part was going to arrive on the 26th and did I wish to collect and drop off again (no apology).
This was unfortunate as I was due to go on Holiday the following week so the choice was made to leave the vehicle with the dealer and I was forced to make alternative travel arrangements to get to the airport (no courtesy car).
I was advised on the 25th October that the part may not arrive as “SEAT Parts have been a bit temperamental recently”. Upon the 26th October I was advised the part had not arrived but was still showing an ETA of the 26th so may still turn up. On 27th October I was advised the part had again not arrived and the ETA updated to “no ETA of arrival”.
I spoke with the dealer (Cupra Peterborough) and Cupra UK Customer Support who both advised me they were chasing for an update on the part status. Customer Support advised a request had been placed with the factory but that he didn’t want to inundate the factory with requests so the process for Cupra UK would be to place the request, wait a few days for a response and if no response place the request again.
The part finally arrived only to find out there was a second control module that had failed and also needed replacement, back to "No ETA available" and an unclear repair timeline.
Honestly I have no idea how a company functions on a system where no ETAs can be provided and for parts that are 'confirmed' but essentially mean nothing and the part turns up whenever the parts department feel like it.
I have a Wife who is 8 months pregnant and utterly distraught, stress we do not need.
As of 07 Dec 23 (129 Days) I am still unable to use the majority of my vehicle. The vehicle is now undriveable and I am in a lower spec courtesy car until the 2nd module can be delivered.
Upon trying to contact Customer Service for an update, for the past 2 days I've been unable to get through via Phone due to an automated message stating "all customer service agents are unavailable" and then the call ending.

NHS Fleet Solutions
LeasePlan
SEAT
I had a lease contract with NHS Fleet Solutions and LeasePlan between 20.10.2021 and 10.10.2023 for a SEAT Mii EV.
In March 2023, the vehicle started to display an error on the dashboard with a warning alarm.
The error message states " 12V Battery error, restart not possible"
Subsequently, I booked an appointment through LeasePlan with the main dealer on the 11th of April 2023. The car was returned to me the same day, claiming that the error was fixed, however, the car kept displaying the same error message.
I contacted the LeasePlan company and rebooked the car again with the same main dealer on the 24th of May 2023. That time the car was kept for 23 days and was returned to me on the 16th of June 2023 without fixing the error. The main dealer claimed that they did not have enough technicians to run the necessary checkups with a promise that once they had enough technicians they would arrange another booking.
The vehicle was kept for that long and I was not given a courtesy car, yet full payment was deducted from my salary and I had to arrange my own transportation during this period.
I already submitted a complaint to LeasePlan and NHS fleet solutions after-care team.
The vehicle was rebooked for the third time on the 6th of September 2023 at Arbury Stourbridge SEAT. Again the care was turned away because of being understaffed.
Then I was advised by the after-care team to arrange a roadside assistance booking by calling SEAT. I dropped the car at the main dealer on 09.10.2023.
The lease contract ended on 10.10.2023.
Today, 30.11.2023, the salary deductions are still being made. I am unable to get any updates about any plans regarding the salary deductions or the car repair. I am still paying for the car and yet I don't have a car.
I was told that the vehicle had to be returned without any errors displayed on the dashboard and till it is fixed, deductions will continue. Would you please advise, how am I supposed to achieve this, provided that the main dealer and manufacturer are unable to fix it?

14 Weeks Wait for Replacement Key which cost £360
My Ateca locked itself with the keys in the car. Cosy me £160 for a locksmith to break in as was away from home where the spare keys were. Took the locksmith 2 minutes to open the door which he said was typical as the locks on Audi Seat re rubbish.
Ordered a new key on 23rd August - still waiting and its the 27th November now. That's 14 weeks for a replacement key that I paid £360 for!!!
Also, Seat UK said they would pay me back the £160 for the locks smith, ... but surprise they didn't!
The worst company I have ever dealt with.
So I wrote th the marketing director of Seat UK, do you think he replied? dont be silly, I was told the managers are "not customer facing"

Twice I have taken my Seat Mii into…
Twice I have taken my Seat Mii into separate dealerships to have a fault fixed (the handbrake locking one of the rear wheels) and twice they have not even bothered to diagnose the fault. On the second occasion (JCT600 in Sheffield) they claimed that the entire braking system was fine despite me telling them it was a persistent problem. I even told them what the AA had said was causing the fault and I was patronisingly told “oh well you didn’t tell us that”, as if it’s the customer’s responsibility to tell them how to fix one of their own vehicles! This is my third vehicle from them, and I’ve been very happy up until now, but it’s clear that standards have nosedived since the pandemic. Won’t be buying another vehicle from them
Appalling experience from Letchworth Seat
Appalling experience from the Letchworth Seat service team today. The member of staff Harry who I’ve dealt with recently needs to go on a course on how to deal with customers. Every encounter I’ve had with him has been shocking, he absolutely has no idea what he’s doing & even worse has wasted my money & time which I don’t appreciate.
I requested to speak with his manager & he refused to let me do that so I have decided to take this to the Ombudsman. I am not impressed at all & will make sure to take my complaint down the proper channels as I have not received an apology or any real action to rectify mistakes made by the team.
Would not recommend purchasing a car…
Would not recommend purchasing a car through this dealership, it has been more hassle than it’s worth. The salesman who managed the sale messed up the transfer of my plate and on top of that did not complete the part exchange appropriately and I’m now receiving communications and fines from my old car from DVLA. Poor service all in all.
Appalling Customer Service & After Sales Support
Surprisingly, SEAT doesn’t have an official means of making a complaint.
Reported my fault, they promised a call back to book my car in. No call ever came. After several emails to their sales and servicing teams, I managed to finally make an appointment to fix the fault. In summary, the infotainment system continually resets itself, making it unusable. Noting I bought the car brand new from build in February 2023.
However, after taking my car in to resolve the issue, it’s worse than before. In addition to this, there still seems to be no effort at all to respond and acknowledge the problem. They promised a simple software update would resolve the fault, but the SEAT boffins are unable to do this properly it would seem.
Customers pay huge amounts of money to the Volkswagen Group for these cars, customers would also appreciate the level of service quality to meet their needs and expectations as a result of their spending, and not be left frustrated!
I’ve asked White Dove Seat in Cardiff to return the car, it’s still under warranty and I’ll take my custom elsewhere, but they’re hiding away from this too. Blind leading the blind.
Awful customer service, faulty software.
Since Cupra UK don’t have a page (unsurprising as they probably don’t want to hear the feedback) this is the next best place.
If you have an issue with your car, as most VAG group cars have with software etc, like I’ve had with my Cupra Formentor (bought in 2021). The local dealership, Listers, while the staff are friendly and attempt to help all they can do is push you to Cupra Cust Services when it’s anything more than standard issues. They have only been able to follow Cupra’s lead with updates.
First reported the software (GPS/SOS) issues to the dealer in Apr 22, it seems that they didn’t capture full notes of the issue at the time or any visit really. Raised with Cupra CS on Feb 23 after a few more “we’re waiting for the next updates”. Update done in March 23 to 1898 version. Issues continued. Cupra CS then said that another fix was being worked on but didn’t know when it would be available. So they closed my support ticked while it remained unresolved.
I had a call from the dealer a couple of weeks ago saying that a new update was available (1940) which has been installed and seems to working better so far.
Because the dealers notes weren’t complete or detailed enough, VWFS and the ombudsman are claiming that the issue wasn’t reported until it was raised with Cupra CS and that it was fixed in the March update.
Their customer service is condescending and frankly useless. Avoid any model that has software versions lower than 1940.
Unprofessional and not helpful
Unprofessional and not helpful
I had to call 5 times to get an MOT booked, at the wrong garage, wrong date and at the wrong length of time.
Calls handled unprofessionally and no customer support. The fifth agent told me there are no managers available and I can call back customer service to complain! This means I should call a 6th time to express my disappointment. I am not sure if I am getting another car from Seat next. Extremely disappointed I pay for a service and your agents are treating us as it was free and you are doing us a favour...

New car purchase
My whole experience with salesman Chris Evernden at Euro Seat was exemplary. He went out of his way to ensure I was satisfied with my new Cupra Leon purchase. Thank you. I will return.
Uninsured driver hit me June 23
Uninsured driver hit me June 23, the insurance company made me go with FMG repair services and are unable to obtain a steering rack.
The issue is they fob you off with fake ETAs always a couple of weeks away, hope builds and then it goes into another 2 weeks (the date has moved 7 times in a month).
Contacted Cupra UK who really didnt do anything, told me information I had already told them.
Its obvious the parts are available as they are using them in new cars, they blame Ukraine and everything but the reality is for them there is no money is spare parts, the money is in new cars hence no spare parts of months at least when they can produce enough to be worth it. So basically I am waiting for orders to build up which could be 2 weeks or 12 months.
I won't be buying another Seat or VAG for that matter. The car I am paying for is already in for 2 months, PCP payments still going out and the car due to no parts is not fit for purpose.

We have just bought a seat arona sport…
We have just bought a seat arona sport from the seat dealership in crewe, the young lady who dealt with us was named Imogen a trainee who I have to say was very professional, patient and very pleasant. We love the look style of the car, and all in all a pleasant experience. Thanks to Imogen
Extremely disappointing service.
Brought a car here 5 months ago, Bluetooth broke 2 months later and no one has resolved it. Been in three times, told I will receive a call, never have. I have also emailed twice and been ignored. Extremely disappointed with the service I have been receiving here.
Purchased a used Seat Arona from Crewe…
Purchased a used Seat Arona from Crewe Seat. The car was used for demo purposes so they said. I expect a few marks with it been a few months old but that wasn’t the problem. It was advertised with 6500 miles on the clock that turned out to be a lie it had 8600 miles on the clock. We then got the car home and found dents on the car which were really bad. Initially Crewe seat said they would sort them out well I’m still waiting. I’ve email for updates but nobody gets back to me. When phoned up to complain the manager told us to take the car back and we could have our part exchange back. Not vary professional in my opinion and very rude. Since the conversation on the phone I’ve made several attempts at contacting them about the repairs and haven’t had any response from them. They don’t care about the customer and the aftercare service is non existent they are rude not interested and non professional. The place is run by young men and girls that have no time for you. A ex colleague came in to the showroom when we first visited and we were totally ignored while the sales team all got themselves a coffee and sat down chatting with this colleague. That should have been the point we walked away. I’m disgusted by the service we received and the aftercare from this place they are a disgrace to the Seat brand avoid Crewe Seat at all cost and go elsewhere.
