Garbage

I do not understand how we as a society let ticketing services get to this point. I don’t know if we’re ever going to get out of it. This company does try to act like they are the nice guys, the better guys. I don’t understand why they don’t just have a line where you can just get in contact with somebody. Obviously everyone has had issues with the app, issues with tickets, issues with the day of event. This company is making money hand over fist, how hard would it be to provide customer service?

Sold me an invalid ticket, would not refund me

I bought a ticket through SeatGeek for the Lionel Ritchie and EWF show at TD Garden in Boston on 7/8/26, and when I got to the concert I found it was invalid because it had been a "non-transferrable" ticket. It was originally sold by Ticketmaster and then sold on to me when it shouldn't have been. I had to wait in line at the box office and buy a new ticket, missing part of the show. When I contacted SeatGeek I got a million repetetive questions, and they said they'd escate it and got back to me. Shocker! They never did! Seeing as their ENTIRE BUSINESS is reselling tickets, most of which probably come from Ticketmaster, wouldn't you think they would have found a way to identify non-transferrable tickets?

BTS Concert

When I was in the ticket wars for the BTS concert, Seatgeek was an alternative option to Ticketmaster. The site loaded fast, had a lot of options for how fast the tickets were going, and the payment process was quick and easy. Then I was emailed my receipt and told to get the Ticketmaster app, where my tickets already were, and stayed until a day after the concert!

I purchased $300 tickets through…

I purchased $300 tickets through SeatGeek for a game at Wrigley Field. The listing completely omitted the fact that these were obstructed view seats.

To verify this, I looked up the exact same section and row on Ticketmaster, where the obstruction was explicitly flagged twice. Furthermore, the seating photo provided by SeatGeek did not match the actual, pillar-blocked view we were given. Because SeatGeek claims to be the "Official Ticket Partner of MLB," stadium staff at Wrigley couldn't even allow us to pay out-of-pocket for an upgrade because the tickets originated from a third-party platform.

When I contacted SeatGeek customer service after the game, I was completely stonewalled. They insisted the seats were "sold correctly" and refused to help. After a week of escalating the issue, they offered a insulting $25 credit on a $300 purchase just to get me to go away.

SeatGeek’s Buyer Guarantee proudly claims: "We’ll make things right no matter what happens." This is a blatant lie. They do not honor their own policy when a seller misrepresents a seat. Avoid this platform at all costs—use Ticketmaster or StubHub instead, where hidden obstructions aren't passed off as premium views.

I would think TWICE before ever buying on this platform again. I spent $5k on seats to the Jay Z concert in NYC and couldn't see the stage. It was the worst experience ever yet Jay Z and Seat Geek got paid. I would never use this platform again. Complete deception!!

Purchased premium parking pass for a concert. Never received the ticket and SeatGeek is unwilling to refund. Stating because the concert wasn’t cancelled, they do not offer refunds. Again, never received what I purchased. Beware of their refund policy.

Marketplace heaven for scalpers

This is basically a scam market place. Their prices are whatever resale plus commission they are making with scalpers. You will not get tickets until the day of the event which means you cannot cancel or resale them if you want to go to a legitimate source

DON'T USE SEAT GEEK

Please you guys, save yourself a lot of unnessary stress, money, and time and NEVER PURCHASE FROM SEAT GEEK. We bought tickets from Seat Geek for a show that was supposed to be in September. The show was rescheduled for July 10, and the day of, we didn't have our tickets. I contacted seat geek through the chat and via the telephone. I was on hold for 46 minutes, and 3 different agents told me that the tickets would be delivered before Sep. 18th, and when I explained that the show was rescheduled for tonight (July 10) they asked me to hold and left the chat with no resolve. They were not able to provide a replacement, so we ended up paying $112 for a surging Uber 15 minutes for the doors opened for the show.
I've never dealt with so many incompetent customer service agents in my life. The anxiety this whole ordeal caused honestly ruined the night.

A huge headache for non-US ticket buyers

Bought some US baseball tickets for later this month and SeatGeek refuses to release them except via the SeatGeek app, which is not available in my local app store. Tried to go to the SeatGeek site for help and wasted time with a ridiculous chatbot that gave me the runaround. It tried redirect me to the MLB Ballpark app which *also* does not have my tickets. Apparently the only solution is to wipe my phone of all my local Apple subscriptions and change to the US app store just to download the SeatGeek app? No. Avoid this site if your are buying tickets from outside the US. It's a huge headache.

Wrong tickets delivered -no refunds ever

Wrong tickets delivered. Asked and seller did not have them. No refund. Magically 4 days later they have them. The site seems to be a place for the worst seats. They dont give you the seat, but so far every ticket has been on the extreme sides. Some say obstructed some dont. They all say great seats (a 10). Its a seller can say whatever and seatgeek does not care. Customer service is very slow. Bought tickets for a week away and heard nothing for 4 days. A big deal when going in a few days and the seats are in limbo. Seller relisted the tickets i have so in theory i could go and someone else could be in my seat

Purchased two tickets for the World…

Purchased two tickets for the World Cup, $3,000 worth of tickets, and drove eight hours. Was on the phone with support for two hours and forty-five minutes, not counting the emails, to get my tickets to transfer to the FIFA app. There were multiple people in line at the box office with the same issue.
Missed half the game because of it.

I've bought concert tickets from…

I've bought concert tickets from seatgeek in the past and one thing that really gets me is the fact that sometimes you won't get your tickets until the night before. This may not seem like a big issue if you're going to the event, but if something happens and you need to cancel there is absolutely no way you're able to sell the tickets the night before the event. I wish they had a system where you could get the tickets sooner, but I honestly think it's part of a scheme to get your money.

Do not use this if you need your tickets

the app is technically easy to use but with the hassle using seat geek came with I’ll actually never purchase tickets with them again. It was bad enough that I wouldn’t receive my tickets till a day before the concert after purchasing them 6 months in advance but then to not have the tickets delivered at all after I have booked a flight, a hotel, and transportation. The tickets a guaranteed but they actually aren’t this isn’t a service you can count on. The hoops I had to go through on the day of the concert to get a refund processed for tickets that were not ever delivered to me were quite frankly ridiculous. Replacements tickets were not offered and the concert was practically sold out by the time I got tickets. If you are looking for a dependable service this isn’t it!!

Absolutely disgraceful experience

Absolutely disgraceful experience. I would never use SeatGeek again.

We bought World Cup tickets 8 months before the match and travelled around 5,000 miles to attend. Two days before the game, SeatGeek said the tickets would be delivered. They were not. We contacted support repeatedly over those two days and were constantly told to wait.

Eventually, we received an email saying our tickets had been sent — but there was nothing there. No tickets. Nothing. The seller had clearly scammed us.

SeatGeek’s own policy was supposed to offer replacement tickets, so we contacted them again with around 24 hours to go before the match. Instead of sorting it properly, they told us the seller had until 2pm to send the tickets. The match was at 6pm. So we waited, exactly as they told us to.

At 2pm, still nothing. We called SeatGeek immediately. We were left on hold for 30 minutes, then put on hold for another 30 minutes while they “checked.” When they finally came back, they said the cutoff for replacement tickets was 3pm — conveniently after they had wasted our time on hold.

It honestly felt like they deliberately dragged the call out so they could avoid giving us replacement tickets and just refund us instead.

A refund does not fix this. We had already spent huge amounts of money on travel, accommodation, and the entire trip just to attend this game. SeatGeek allowed a seller to scam us, failed to protect us, failed to honour their replacement policy properly, and then left us stranded hours before kickoff.

This was not just bad customer service. This was a complete failure from start to finish. SeatGeek took no real responsibility and handled the situation in the most dishonest and unacceptable way possible.

Do not trust SeatGeek with important tickets. Especially not for a major event. You could do everything right, buy months in advance, travel across the world, and still be left with nothing because SeatGeek will not protect you when it matters.

Do not buy from this scam organization if you truly want to receive tickets to an event.

I purchased tickets in March for a concert on June 10. I was told the day of that the seller has changed pickup to will call. I did not want this, so they offered me two extra free tickets to sweeten the deal. I foolishly accepted and drove two hours to said venue with my daughter and her friends. Of course, there were no tickets there. I immediately reported this to SeatGeek while at the venue. I was then told on June 15th that I would have a refund within 24 hours. It has now been 3 weeks, I have spent countless hours on chat and emailing and still have no refund. This company is an absolute scam and I warn all folks buying tickets that if you value your money and your child's heart, do NOT purchase from this scam organization. Perhaps you will get lucky and get to attend said event... or you wind up like me with many hours of your life wasted arguing over a refund, hours wasted traveling to a city for said concert and a heartbroken child.

Paid $3,700 for World Cup Tickets — Turned Away at the Stadium Door. SeatGeek Failed to Deliver.

I purchased two tickets through SeatGeek for the USA vs Turkey FIFA World Cup 2026 match at SoFi Stadium (Order ID: 6P2-4DY58YQ). I paid $3,715.68. I was never able to enter the stadium.

SeatGeek failed to communicate my email address and order details to FIFA, meaning no tickets were ever issued to my FIFA account. I discovered this only after months of back-and-forth with SeatGeek's customer service — during which different agents gave me completely contradictory information. Some told me my order was "fulfilled" and that FIFA would send the tickets closer to the match date. Another agent later admitted that FIFA had never accepted SeatGeek's order. I contacted FIFA directly and they confirmed they had no record of my email address in their system.
Despite all of this, I traveled to Los Angeles. I booked flights, a hotel near SoFi Stadium, and a car rental. I took three days off from work. On match day, I walked up to the SoFi Stadium ticketing booth — and was turned away. Staff confirmed on the spot that FIFA had no record of my tickets.
My total loss, including travel and accommodation, exceeds $6,000.
Customer service response? Weeks of delays, scripted replies, and an offer of a promo code — not a cash refund — for the ticket amount only, with no acknowledgment of my travel costs whatsoever.

My warning to anyone considering SeatGeek for high-value events:
If something goes wrong, do not expect SeatGeek to take responsibility or make you whole. Their agents lack consistent and accurate information, and their resolution process is slow, frustrating, and inadequate for the scale of loss a ticket delivery failure can cause. For a $3,700+ purchase tied to travel, this level of service is unacceptable.

How SeatGeek can do better:

1. Establish a direct, verified communication pipeline with major event organizers like FIFA before selling tickets — not after problems arise.
2. Train customer service agents to give consistent, accurate information. Contradictory guidance over months is not a minor inconvenience; it causes real financial harm.
3. Offer genuine monetary refunds — not platform credits — when a ticket delivery failure is confirmed. A customer who never received what they paid for should not be expected to spend more money with the same platform.
4. Acknowledge consequential losses. When a customer travels for an event based on your assurances, and your failure causes them to miss it, the conversation cannot end at the ticket price alone.

I am currently pursuing a full refund through all available legal channels. I am sharing this experience publicly so that other consumers can make an informed decision before trusting SeatGeek with a high-stakes purchase.
