I will be putting my review about this…
I will be putting my review about this terrible awful company on all platforms review wise. First, we weren't told ahead of time that the contract basically firing us until a whole week! I was told my last day would be Monday & was way before hand, which was last week actually as my last day. I was told this change the day before the work day I was about to go to having no heads up, until today. However, I believe this is due to 1 my disability & also I mentioned one day I couldn't work due to having an interview. Also, the fact that even though I said I can sway shifts with someone....I can guarantee you the Others work until Monday as told. Im not stupid! Only days with events they say do extra stuff that don't be consistent the same day, meaning it change constantly which is stressful & confusing. Lastly, the HR Person never responds, they did while getting the job only not once working at the company.
8 years of paying for maintenance, only to be charged more for their obsolete equipment
I have been a loyal Securitas Direct customer for 8 years (Installation No: 4189138), punctually paying my monthly fee which includes their maintenance service. Recently, my external siren stopped working, leaving my property unprotected. When contacting technical support, they told me that my central base station is too old because it runs on 2G and 3G networks (technologies currently being phased out) and that the entire system needs to be replaced. The outrageous part is that instead of fixing this under the maintenance contract I have been paying into for nearly a decade, they are trying to force a price increase of an extra 7 euros per month to give me the new equipment. The shutdown of 2G/3G networks is a technological shift completely out of the customer's control. If your equipment becomes obsolete and can no longer provide the basic service I contractually pay for, it is your responsibility to upgrade the infrastructure for free to fulfill your end of the deal. It should not be used as an excuse to hike up my rate.I demand the immediate repair of my siren and the upgrade of the central base station with no hidden fees or price increases. Otherwise, I will process an immediate cancellation and file a formal complaint with consumer protection (Consumo). This is a shameful way to treat a long-term customer.
Job security is as low as it can be-…
Job security is as low as it can be- problems with the equipment? Its the technicians fault. Customer complaints? - management immediately will blame the ones who are in thr field without even a minescule of research of what actuslly happened. .support? None. Crickets when asked. You are expected to know every single detail for thousands of customers, even though management doesn't know any of it. One mistake? Written up and terminated
Great communication. Fixed issue asap
Only 4 stars because of the 28 minute wait. Kens was very friendly and solved my issue quickly. Always asked to put me on hold and his instructions to me were clear. Overall great customer service, just the wait time.
Want to talk to a live person
I have been trying to reach a live person from Securitas Security since last August 2025. I have a series of 58 emails to confirm how many times I have rached out for someone to call me at 416-557-4515. I WANT TO TALK TO A LIVE PERSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Worst service ever
Worst service ever
Frustrating
Do not make that mistake!
Horrible non-existent customer service
Horrible customer service because it is NON-EXISTENT. For weeks I have been trying to reach customer service or technical support for a simple issue and am always on hold for 30 minutes and never speak to someone and then have to end the call and, you know, get back to work because I have things to do other than be jerked around. I tried several times to get through to them by talking to the central monitoring station for false alarms. I ask to speak to a supervisor, and they just put you back in the queue. one agent just cold-transferred me to another colleague in the monitoring department so he clearly lied about saying I'd speak to a supervisor. when I calmly expressed frustration about that and the experience in general I get accused of raising my voice and threaten to end the call. They clearly do not prioritize customer service at all and it shows 100%. Seriously considering just breaking my contract and going with someone else.
Absolutely TERRIBLE Company
Absolutely terrible company. My grandparents had been with them for 7 years, past their contract. The service during the contract was abysmal, and the cancellation process was even worse. Could not get a call back, waited on hold for hours, had to pay for an additional 30 days and then STILL NOT CANCELLED and apparently no history of a cancellation being requested, after hours of effort. Please beware, do not go with this disgusting company.
Incorrect invoicing
Incorrect invoicing; price changes with no notice; very difficult to get responses to accounting queries. happily no longer have dealings with them
Apalling company
My alarm system was installed, ongoing seviced and monitored by CIA. However recently CIA have ben taken over by Securitas and ever since the service has been apalling. The latest situation is that in the last TWO maintenance services the documentation I was presented with showed that NO yes NO checks were carried out. The compay puts this down to a software error but the fact remains that I have no documentary evidence that my system has been serviced which is a requirement of my house insurers. Securitas simply could not care and refuse continue to insist that I pay for this in full. I also receive frequent incorrect invoices and noone every answers the phones to deal with the situations.
If I could find a company to take the system over I would but so far I cannot find anyone.
Very disappointing experience with…
Very disappointing experience with Securitas after their acquisition of Stanley Security.
Their billing practices have become completely unacceptable — they raise invoices however they want, without proper explanation or accuracy. When I contacted their accounts department for clarification, I received no reply at all. Not even an acknowledgment.
Customer service is equally poor. Reaching someone who will actually resolve an issue feels impossible. The lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism is shocking for a company of this size.
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend staying away from Securitas. Their service quality and customer care have declined dramatically since the acquisition.
Worse security company in history
Avoid, avoid, avoid
Securitas took over the intruder alarm business from Stanley, who provided fairly acceptable service. Big price hike immediately. But that's not the main point. Yes, there are some genuinely helpful back office people there, if you can reach them. But the general level of service is atrocious. Privately some of those who work for them agree. Pleased to have parted company with them.
Worst service I ever had in my life
I have been waiting on the line for 6 hours with no answer. They kept telling me to wait and the help never came.
I literally spent from 11h to 17h.
An now again this morning I am again waiting, after 1 hour I am still on the phone waiting....
One star is giving too much
One star is giving too much. Do not take any service from this company. If you signed up for a service contract, good luck. They tell you that service calls are included when you replace a battery but they charge you just the same. When you cancel your contract, they ignore you and send you new bills and collection agencies. I had to email the president and CEO of the company in Toronto to finally have them stop harassing me.

I had a very bad experience with this company, too many things happened from a to z
Damaged Laptop at BER Security
In September I was at BER. I had a second laptop in my hand luggage that didn't belong to me and had to be extra careful with it, that's why I asked the Securitas guy to leave it on top of my rucksack while going through security, like many other times done before. He instead placed the laptop on the bottom of the tray and smashed my rucksack on top of it. I was disappointed, told the guy "Hey, what are you doing? I just told you the laptop is not mine!" The guy just ignored me. When I asked for his name, he didn't give it to me and laughed right at my face. A co-worker of his came to his rescue. The guy put on a glove and opened my rucksack, as if he was going to go through it. He looked at me defiant, because he had my bag, so I was to fear him. Someone else inspected the bag, which, of course, was just fine. The laptop? It's lost some paint on one corner. I can prove nothing, because they have my cell phone, too, when going through security.
Alarm issues
My keyboard panel has been malfunctioning for the last month, and the technician came about three weeks ago after I called multiple times. He said he had to come back to replace it, but he has not shown up since then. I sent several emails and called, but no response. It is a useless company, and I am not sure why they are in business. Avoid this company if you can.
Never trust on this company.
Good company to start working for, but if you ask to leave, this company treats you like an enemy, completely disregarding all the values that Securitas preaches during the training. Completely hypocritical.
