The information provided on Self Decode…
The information provided on Self Decode changed my life in a very immediate sense. It clued me in on possible early diabetes, which I then confirmed with a continuous glucose monitor. I lost weight and reversed the early diabetic response to food. All due to Self Decode, which showed me some hard truths even when my regular doctor ignored my concerns because I did not meet standard criteria for moderate stage irreversible diabetes yet. Go figure. For context, I myself am a doctor.

SelfDecode isn't just about biohacking anymore
At first glance, many people would think that SelfDecode is for biohackers, a fringe element, looking for ways to live to 100 and beyond. I say that SelfDecode is much more than a nerdy tool for health conscious extremists. I look at SelfDecode as a library, not unlike the library of Alexandria, a place where people come far and wide, seeking answers to every aspect of their health. Yeah, living a long life would be great. I say quality of life is more important. With the help of SelfDecode, I've overcome most of my health issues. Unlike eight years ago, when I knew nothing, now I'm an experienced researcher. I recently noticed something odd in my blood work, something I never noticed before. I turned to SelfDecode to do my own genetic workup. It didn't take me long to find my target. Everything fell into place. I gave the SelfDecode results to all my doctors. Just like they said in the movie, never ask a question, you don't already know the answer to. You better know your stuff, before bringing your SelfDecode results to your doctors. After doing so, I was immediately approved for further genetic counseling. I've proved that SelfDecode results can be taken seriously by clinical medicine. Knowledge is power and SelfDecode is a set of tools, used to gain that knowledge. Is SelfDecode perfect? No, but it's still a young platform. I've seen steady progress. If you want to grow to your potential, be at the fat part of the Bell curve, not at the outer reaches, where the pickings are slim. I'd like to see less use of the term biohacking; maybe give it a separate area. It shouldn't be front and center. I believe some of these changes have already begun. I'd like to see continued improvement in the search function and gene packs. If I put mitochondria in the search box, only one result shows up. That's not good enough. Whether you manually enter the results or use some form of AI, the search function needs to be much more powerful and intuitive. Say somebody has a medical condition. They'll want to use SelfDecode and SelfHacked for much of their research. Keeping it all organized is currently difficult. If everybody had their own private online study room, they could work more efficiently. Of course there are privacy and security questions that will need to be answered. I like the direction SelfDecode is going. Rome wasn't built in a day. I can sincerely say your platform has saved my life.

So many mysteries about my health were explained the Self Decode DNA test. The founder Joe Cohen has 4% of the known obesity genes, while I have 96% of the known obesity genes. This explains a lot.

Very straightforward and easy to use
I'm a big fan of SelfDecode! Not only does it hold so much information, but the fact that this information is broken down for me into manageable tidbits is incredible. It's a little intimidating to tackle your genetics when you're just getting started but the platform does a great job making you feel comfortable. I really enjoyed that each section not only explained what was going on, but also gave very manageable daily action steps to take to help you feel better. I'm a huge fan! I haven't tried out the doctor consultation feature yet, but I am excited to see how it goes.

I had an issue with an order from self…
I had an issue with an order from self decode. For some reason the creation of my account was incomplete and the order was partially made as well. This was due to a mistake from their IT department and a new website they are creating for European Customers. Their customer support helped a lot dealing with that issue. It took us 3 days to find a solution, and that is because the order/creation of the account occured at Friday and we had to deal with it at the weekend where a lot of the stuff is not working. Sarah is a very kind and helpful girl and she managed to fix my order issue. At times, I got impatient, irritable and borderline impolite, but she always replied in a helpful and polite manner and making progress towards the solution of the problem. Thank you Sarah !

Beware beware beware!
If you think this company is in the business of helping people improve their lives, think again. Their subscription option sounds like a great, affordable idea until you realize they charged you for another year without notice. I honestly did not get much out of the service for the year I had it. The reports are generic and largely unhelpful. With this, I had no intentions of paying $97 to sign up for another year. They have always bombarded my inbox with offers and ways to take more of my money, so I got used to deleting them immediately. I have read on here that the subject of the email a month before the subscription was set to renew was incredibly misleading and easily overlooked. After reaching out to customer service, I was told I could not be refunded despite canceling my subscription as soon as I realized. They claimed that what I paid had already gone toward the service for that period. What service did you administer to someone who hasn't been active on her account for months? These people are looking to grab your money any chance they get. Any other company I've paid money to on a subscription-like basis is always understanding and empathic on a human level to handle issues like this with grace. SelfDecode is not and it sounds like others have had this same issue.
