Overall, the product quality is quite good, and they frequently add new items, which makes it easy to launch and grow a business quickly. The ability to preview designs and generate automated mockups that load directly to Shopify is definitely a plus. Once you figure out the right settings, the ordering process runs smoothly—though it would be helpful if those settings were clearly explained somewhere.

That said, several areas need improvement. The platform has quite a few glitches and usability issues. For example, the support team can take long to respond, also the website is quite slow. There’s currently no way to give access to other team members like graphic designers so you’re limited to managing everything from a single user account.

The design studio also lacks basic features like the ability to delete unused designs, which creates clutter fast, especially with multiple products and variations. You cannot add your own background colours either. Filtering in the “My Products” section is very limited and doesn’t allow you to group items efficiently. When you have many products it is a real challenge to find the right one.

Templates are another area where the experience could be improved. The process of applying templates is not intuitive; there’s some guidance but we still had to go through a lot of trial and error to figure it out. Some templates even use different names or incorrect dimensions compared to what’s listed on the site, which adds to the confusion.

On the logistics side, we’ve run into a few shipping issues. Delivery times tend to be longer than promised. For instance, a customer placed an order on March 17 and still hadn’t received it 10 days later, which is concerning and could reflect poorly on our brand.
In summary, while the product offering and business potential are great, the platform itself still needs significant improvements in terms of functionality, user experience, and customer support. I know all takes time and I hope to see improvements soon.

Some information on the website, like some videos, unfortunately are aged and not relevant anymore but that's where the Team steps in to advise. Also I have noticed minor lags and issues with the design constructor, but nothing such that would not have an easy workaround. Overall I would definitely recommend the service and I am excited to start my business with Selfnamed.
