I’ve been using the World of Books selling app to clear out a lot of inherited books. Sometimes the barcode scan brings up the wrong title, but I understand that’s down to how publishers reuse... See more

The website is user friend! It was extremely easy to check the price of books and mail my books for payment!
Great place to sell books if you no longer need books!

I did not receive full payment but all books were given credit for original estimate. I emailed company and didn’t hear back.

Selling books to World of Books is effortless. Especially after they offered QR codes instead of printed labels. I didn't realize that the books they didn't take were kept on my "shelf" for the future. Great experience.

Made two trades with them.
On the first trade they shorted me $26. They were offering a boosted welcome discount of 15% (which is what my confirmation e-mail clearly listed) but they only paid 10%.
After repeated emails they claim they’re going to send me the difference, but I’ve yet to see it.
On the second trade they rejected a book which they had priced at $24 saying it was in unacceptable condition. This was a beautiful hardcover book that was like new when it was carefully packed for shipping.
And when they decide to reject a book they neither return it nor send any pictures to support their evaluation.
They claim that rejected books are immediately recycled, but there’s no way to verify that either. You have to take their word for it. They can simply claim a book was not in acceptable condition, refuse to pay then turn around and sell it.
Another $24 they owe me. So, I’m out $50 over two trades.
Buyer, or in this case seller, beware.

In the past I have been completely satisfied with the trades with the World of Books and previously Ziffit. However, on the last occasion in July I was extremely annoyed and frustrated. The collection was by DPD. I used a very strong box and professional sealing tape. The e-mail from the World of books stated that out of 39 books packed, 9 were "not received". I'm unable to refute that statement, but I categorically know they were sent. Either a mistake was made at the processing of the books or the box was damaged and books lost in transit. It's a time consuming task, packing and listing the books and I will not trade with World of Books in the future. Sue Butcher

I love World of Books both selling and buying. The selling could not be easier and have been sorting ready for a downsize move so there were a lot of books! I will continue to use this brilliant service and so glad books will get a second life.

I purchased a book from here and, although it was promptly dispatched, it got lost in the post. I checked with Royal Mail and they said they were expecting it but hadn't yet received it. I emailed World of Books and they immediately sent out a replacement - no questions asked. People before profit!

good prices offered and posting to sell very easy process

Scanning, packaging and collection of books is all very straightforward and speedy. The price they offer for the books is very poor. However, if you are after a handy way to clear out books and aren’t too bothered about the money, they provide a decent service.
