The stairlift I had fitted for my wife was perfect for her needs . senior stairlifts gave me a very fare price and fitted every thing within a week . the engineer Arran Greef how fitted it was friendly and polite he even vacuumed all the stairs for me. All in all I can say senior stairlifts were very fair and did a good job .

I went for a "Refurbished" Stairlift"…
I went for a "Refurbished" Stairlift" recommended by the Salesman. At installation I noticed a very broken part and drew attention to it. Installer said fine we will get a new one fitted. That part fell of within 12 hours and no sign of a replacement. Tried to chase it up and got nowhere at all. Then other flaws showed up including the anchor points on the Stairs being all wrong and not properly attached therefore dangerous. I took advice from Citizen's Advice who told me I was within my rights to have a full refund under the 2015 Consumer act. So I sent a letter before court giving them time to reply. They ignored it completely until the deadline was passed and then offered to put everything right. Absolutely not if there is a problem it is put right the moment it happens not just before Court Action. The spare part had eventually turned up with no instructions of how to fit - and was absolutely FILTHY. Next letter before court was sent and came back "undelivered three times" written on it. So just before I implemented court action I tried WHICH as the company are WHICH Trusted Traders. Within a couple of hours they were on the phone. Claiming they didn't have my bank details. So I said send the email and I will return bank details. They were foolish enough to send the emails which had my bank details on them! Do not touch them they bully the elderly and are totally incompetent. I have had a new stair lift installed by Acorn Stair lifts and that company were horrified at the incompetent dangerous fitting. Senior Stairlifts were late arriving to remove my installation so the new company took it out for me to be collected later in the day. I can back up my claims with evidence and believe if I had gone to court I would have got compensation for the aggravation I really didn't need as an 80 year old cancer patient. Minus 5 stars. How foolish of me to believe the installer who promised to replace the offending part - he persuaded me to sign off and he would get it sorted. How glad I am that I discovered just how badly the installation was done - so you could say their broken promises were a Godsend but I would still say keep away from these cowboys.

At the point of installation, Philippa signed a handover and demonstration form confirming she was satisfied with the installation. There was nothing at that time to suggest she was unhappy or that any concerns had been raised about the fitting. We have no evidence to suggest the installation was incorrect or unsafe, and we hold signed documentation to support this.
We acknowledge that the bottom rail end cap was damaged at installation. We want to be clear that this is a cosmetic component only and had absolutely no bearing on the safety or functional operation of the lift. We accept that the replacement part sent was not of an acceptable standard and we apologise for that. When Philippa raised her concerns, we acted promptly and offered a Senior Engineer visit to replace the part, carry out a full inspection and extend her warranty at no cost.
When Philippa requested a removal and refund instead, we agreed immediately and requested her bank details to process this without delay. We made five separate attempts to issue the refund. Three attempts failed due to incorrect bank details provided by email, and a further two attempts made directly with our Finance Director by phone were also unsuccessful due to incorrect details being provided. The refund was processed immediately once correct details were received.
Regarding the letters, we did not receive any correspondence. If letters were returned to sender on multiple occasions, we can only conclude that an incorrect address was used, as this was entirely outside of our control.
Philippa also instigated an investigation through Which? Trusted Traders. We engaged with this process fully and transparently, and the investigation found no wrongdoing on our part.
This was not up to our usual high standard, our internal processes have been reviewed as a result of this and we apologise to Philippa and wish her well in the future.

A friendly, informative, professional supplier.
The staff who.handled my enquiry, assessment and questions were really friendly and helpful. The engineer who installed our stairlift was Carl. He was friendly, polite and extremely careful, thorough and considerate Nothing was too much trouble for him. Even in the incredibly hot 35 degree heatwave he never stopped working or lost concentration. I have no hesitation in recommending Senior Stairlifts as a reliable company with quality products and helpful friendly office staff and in particular their engineer Carl who is a credit and assett to the company. I hope he is awarded a bonus as a reward.😄
