Buyer Beware!!!!
If you are considering purchasing from SGS Engineering I would proceed with caution. I ordered an item and entered all delivery details. Once details were added it showed free delivery. I continued with the transaction via PayPal. As you maybe aware PayPal doesn't always return to the home page for an order review. So I wasn't immediately aware £6.99 delivery had been added to the cost. I would never have proceeded with the purchase had I known this. I contacted SGS within 3 minutes of the transaction just enough time to find the telephone number. On calling SGS I was immediately told the order could not be cancelled after 3 minutes. I discussed the issue, but there was no sympathy. They told me to receive the item and send it back at my own expense approximately £14.99 making me £22 out of pocket. I later received an email stating SGS would pay the delivery charge as a good will gesture, but I would still have to pay the return. I have sent further emails suggesting the good will gesture could be made rather than returning the item causing all parties extra inconvenience. SGS have failed to reply to any other communication. Please be very careful when purchasing as you will get no assistance if there are any issues. Good Customer Services are essential when purchasing and unfortunately this full well below what a reasonable customer should expect.A screen shot has also been sent showing the screen displaying free delivery after my address has been entitled, but the company have failed to reply.
Buy the same Chinese equipment anywhere else.
52cc brush cutter - great value if it worked!
SGS Engineering’s customer service is awful. Delivery is quick but when it’s delivered faulty & not working correctly they go to extraordinary lengths to avoid resolving.
The same 52cc brush cutter is available under lots of brands, all made in the same Chinese factory, so I would recommend buying elsewhere.
So I buy a new compressor
So I buy a new compressor 106.98 with shipping. It turns up faulty and keeps tripping my breaker. I’m gutted so I email them and they arrange to collect but won’t swap it there and then. I then have to wait 5-7 days for my money back after a million emails back and forth I decided to buy elsewhere. Today I get my money back short of the shipping cost. I emailed them and got no response even though they respond very quickly to all other emails. Avoid this firm at all costs they waste your time and if you have a problem they steal your money too.

Not free delivery as stated
I'm told they are a great company to buy from. So I put £300 worth of tools in the basket for free delivery then when I go to pay I notice £17.99 for delivery. A lot of people probably wouldn't spot it. Items removed from basket and app deleted. What a con. Buy elsewhere.
Incredible service for a Bespoke Gas Strut at very reasonable price
The gas strut retaining the habitation door on my motorhome had worn out and I couldn’t find an off the shelf replacement. When I called SGS I spoke to a lady called Kathy who very kindly directed me to Darren Hardy in the sales team who said that although they did not stock a strut to my spec they would gladly make one. I placed the order on Thursday, it was made and posted that day and delivered by 9:00am on Friday. Incredible service and for a bespoke part a very reasonable price.
I cannot recommend this company more highly. Thank you SGS. If only more businesses offered services as good as you.
This is not unprompted
This is not unprompted! I ordered a generator from these people. The generator was delivered, left on the doorstep from where it was stolen. I've tried getting to the bottom of it with police , FedEx and SGS themselves. They are refusing to refund or replace as FedEx say it was delivered to a man in glasses. I don't, and never have worn glasses. The lady(a bit strong)at SGS(Cathy/ ...was rude and I've now had my bank refund me. Steer clear of these gob shites.

Absolutely fuming !! Ordered a generator and within 10 minutes i tried to cancel as i didnt realise the size of the item. I was told couldnt cancel already been shipped🤣. Advised to reject delivery ( next day) but i wud be charged £100. Fair enough , however delivery wasnt made or even attempted yet i still got charged £120 ? I have received a refund of £319.99 not the £437.98 i paid. No joy with customer service . This company has litterally stole £120 of my money. I am trying to take this further .

Brought an 52cc earth auger
Brought an 52cc earth auger, I must admit I haven't used it yet as the job for this isn't ready to start yet. But after taking it out the box it looks a fantastic bit of kit well built and great size, I'm more than happy with it. Also like to mention the service and delivery was also a great experience once ordered I was kept upto date and the item was on my doorstep a few days later..top job will definitely be order from SGS for my company.

I purchased an air compressor directly from SGS.
When I started it, it leaked air and the tank would empty. I contacted them to ask for a replacement and they insisted that I send a video of the problem and that I package the machine up, print off a courier label and they would collect it to 'review' the problem. They said they may be able to fix it. I explained about the the inconvenience of it not working - and now, the time and materieals/cost involved in re-packaging it was a real nusance. I paid for a new compressor and don't want a repaired faulty one!
After escalating it and much discussion... and further research I discovered and explained that it would have been cheaper to have bought the compressor on Amazon - where I could have just done a simple 'return' and got a replacement or refund! I asked that they refund the difference between their price and Amazons price, which they agreed to do - but there was no agreement to any compensation to cover the inconvenience, wasted time and packaging materials - which I consider to be poor.
A pretty bad customer experience!
What an absolute shambles of a company
What an absolute shambles of a company, blatantly lied about a products features and then completely ignored me once I’d paid. I cancelled my order due to their service and now they are deducting £125 in my refund. I’ve reported to my credit card company and will be going to Small Claims Court if I don’t get the deduction back.
Do not transact with this company.
I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with this company. When placing my order, I clearly specified that the parcel should be left in a designated safe place, as I was going to be away on holiday.
Unfortunately, the delivery driver ignored these instructions and left the parcel elsewhere, resulting in the package being stolen. Despite following all the steps requested by the company during the claims process, they ultimately refused to issue a refund or accept any liability.
This is particularly frustrating, as I took reasonable precautions to ensure a secure delivery. The lack of accountability and poor customer service have left me out of pocket and extremely dissatisfied.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company.

If I could put 0 stars I would, I placed a £400 order and received a email within 2 minutes with a delivery address to a place in England even tho I’m Scottish and stay in Scotland, so I called them up and told them it was the wrong address and not to send it within 5 minutes of receiving the email, they said it was too late it’s already sent and they sent it to that address now someone signed for my £400 item and now they are blaming me and iv had to get klarner to deal with them as don’t care the have been paid , iv had to buy the item again from a decent company which I received no problem but iv had to pay it twice until klarner sort it out with this mob , avoid at all costs once they have been paid your on your own 👎

680kg Hydraulic Motorcycle Lift
Purchased the 680kg Hydraulic Motorcycle Lift from SGS. On first use it sank and emptied oil over my workshop floor. On communicating this back to the customer services I had to send numerous photos, videos and mails only to find out that they would only take the item back for repair and if they did not find a fault I would be liable for all costs.
I have previously purchased from SGS with no issues but have never had to deal with customer support for a complaint on faulty items.
Cross your fingers whatever you purchase is good because if it isn't you'll regret ever purchasing from SGS.
Needless to say, this is the last purchase I will be making from them.
Faulty jet wash blown hose first 30 mins
Purchased a jet wash arrived next day cant fault that
30 minutes into using it the lance hose blown then i get offered £20 back not even the cost of a new decent hose
Also had a petrol leaf blower that was all good until the recoil snapped bit apparently down to wear and tear not used that much and worst bit they now dont make these anymore and are unable to get the parts so be warned if u buy something from them if something goes wrong u may not get the parts you need so means you've got a dead machine and then out of pocket
Beware of third party scam.
Cheap prices but utilizes scammer third parties to make a quick buck out of you.
Watch out after you've bought something, it will say "30 quid cashback" and underneath in tiny grey text it signs you up to an 18 pound a month service.
Watch out for that shady business practice.

I was charged an extra £45 for a delivery which was missed or £100 to cancel the order
I had spoken to the courier to re arrange a delivery day , was told it was possible and then at the last minute, it wasnt - SGS totally inhelpful when spoke to them
Unexpected additional costs beware
Having been swayed to buy a log splitter because it was significantly discounted AND had a further £20 off for a weekend promotion . The delivery was late and refused to leave the package onsite unless someone to sign for, which unfortunately there wasn’t.
Delivery was charged at£14.95, But redelivery is another £49.99 OR order cancellation is charged at £100.
To make things worse a similar product wirhout discounts is offered by a competitor with free delivery for only £5.01 more than the offer.
Customer service and recognition of a long term customer completely ignored.
Will certainly avoid in the future. Beware poor offers and service.
