This website is very cumbersome to use, badly designed, woefully coded and does not function at even a basic level, if you are an employer, DO NOT USE SHAPE! I have taken a long time and effort trying to phantom how to use it and have given up - do not waste your money on this utter utter rubbish!

Excellent Payroll solution. Intuitive and easy to use but customer service and customisations are the stand outs

With the news that 12Cloud Payroll becomes chargeable next year, I came across Shape on my second attempt (freepayroll which is not free, my first), Shape is free for up to three employees. I set up one ltd company with two employees and a SSAS pension payroll with two pensioners, both within the hour (and that was mostly the dificulties extracting the information needed from 12Cloud Payroll), within that hour I ran both payrolls and RTI submissions, really very delighted to have found Shape. As a small critique some more ? help tabs would have been an aid, e.g. it took me ages to find how to complete "Pay at the Lower Earnings Limit (LEL)" until i found the information in a P14 from the old payroll........for sure a 5 star product

This payroll software is absolutely first class, cloud based, easy to set up, easy to use, well designed layouts, excellent functionality, clearly laid out concise manuals that actually describes exactly as it is in the software unlike many manuals and excellent rapid support from Cheri.
I highly recommend ShapePayroll software, definitely the best having used a couple of others which were complicated to use. Thank you Shapepayroll.

I learnt about Shape Payroll from the HMRC website after my HMRC basic tools got wiped - I downloaded Shape and my like has been made so much easier. I only run a small payroll but set up of my Estate Agency Payroll in no time and adding staff was so easy too. Being web based is such a bonus- log in from anywhere and feel secure and the support from Cheri has been brilliant. Thank you everyone at Shape

Excellent payroll system and outstanding customer service!
All the tools you need and more. So much better than most of the other services out there at a fraction of the cost. Also, it’s very easy to use (even for a novice like me)

I've been using Shape Payroll for over a year now and its definitely one of the best I have used. Its extremely easy to set up and I was able to get my first RTI submitted in no time.

I have had a few queries and the customer support is top class, I have spoken to a couple of their team members (Alex and Cheri) and both were polite and helpful and able to resolve my (admittedly user error) issues.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this service, we started on the free version which was fantastic on its own, but are now using the paid version (better than sage!)

The app works well, and I was really impressed that when I had a query, the customer service guy solved my problem straight away.
