Sheraton Poznan Poland

Sheraton Poznan Poland - extremely disappointing visit (a Christmas present) staying over New Year.

The Club Lounge in this hotel has to be the worst dirty unkempt lack of facilities Club Lounge I have ever visited especially during the day. As for getting snacks all I would say is don’t bother going club during the day it’s only ok for coffee and water (unless you drink decaffeinated and have to ask for sachets as they are not put out as norm) the cocktail menu between 6-8pm is limited and the snacks in those couple of hours are ok. In fact I would say don’t do Club absolute waste of money.

The Bar didn’t open until 3pm the whole time we were there (over New Year) if you could get a table in the lobby that was clean before that time you were extremely fortunate.

The breakfast on the first day was excellent but sadly (different staff) the next breakfast was woeful in comparison.

It was a toss up between booking the Sheraton or another 5* hotel so we decided to go for a long walk and passing the other hotel we spent sometime in it at 12 noon (at least their bar was open) and was clean.

We raised the issues with management who gave us a voucher for the restaurant. The restaurant is split in two one side looks like a quick fast food outlet with low tables, the other raised tables. We were seated at the low tables, the restaurant was a third full with lots of uncleared tables, we were sat opposite the messy, uncleared work surfaces next to the coffee machine. Only one menu was available (had to share) no offer of drink at this time. Safe to say after 30 minutes a glass of the house red did appear, apparently there had been a problem and they had to go find a new bottle. We had to ask for condiments and the bread was plonked down whilst the waitress was passing, with no oils, side plates or finesse. When the meal turned up it was mediocre first course (beef tartare) which was followed by the star (our main course) a duck that we saw several times which was walked passed us and offered to others, it was then taken and placed under the heat lamp until someone eventually realised it had been there some time and came and placed it on our table. Sheraton Hotels win the prize, officially it was the worst dried out over heated, over cooked duck I have ever experienced (and duck is my favourite dish). We left (never offered any further drinks, enquired how we were enjoying the experience.

There were lots of other issues including rooms not being prepared and having to request attention at 3pm.

Stay again? Recommend? Not a chance (what we thought) a leisurely luxury weekend break to see the 2023 New Year was certainly memorable….. and never to be repeated.

Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk. I am attending a conference and made a booking and received a confirmation. 14 days later they send a new confirmation for the same booking but now with wrong arrival date from a no-reply mail. There is no way to communicate with the hotel by mail, only phone. And when I phone I get a robot that pretend to act like a human and the puts me through to a booking service where the line is disconnected. It is absolutely intolerable service that you can't get in touch with a hotel.

I have been a Marriott Rewards Member…

I have been a Marriott Rewards Member for over 2 decades. Always had a great experience with all their hotels and all my requests are always met by their customer friendly service personnel .
Unfortunately, 2022 August 4th-6th , my husband & I , booked @ The Sheraton Downtown Toronto for a fun filled weekend . It was our B’days and unfortunately the AC was not working in
90+ degree weather .
The Safe Deposit box was low on battery . It was a nightmare & we had to make multiple phone calls . Finally they moved us to a lower floor but still the Air-conditioning was not working & they gave us a fan instead.
When I complained to management on the way out , they were very attentive and tried to make it up to us with a breakfast and parking was waved . That does not negate the fact that this old building needs a total revamp of its old electric grid .
They should have given our stay for free, for the horrible ordeal of a stay we had . Next time I might have to look elsewhere for my stay . Too bad they did not value their valued customers !

Yan the man! Larimar pool bar, Sheraton Grand hotel, Dubai.

Yan who works at the Grand Sheraton Dubai, in the Larimar Bar is absolutely amazing and deserves recognition. So attentive and kind. Really made me and my partners stay that extra bit special. I can not thank Yan enough for his time, patience and kindness... especially in this heat. Thank you so much Yan for making our stay at the Sheraton Grand a special one. We only go to this bar because you are working. You are brilliant.

4points Sheraton Cocoa beach

I stayed at 4points Sheraton Cocoa Beach FL on Jan 28 with my family. The service was the worst part. The person who checked us in was rude, but so rude that I was surprised by it. The room I stayed in (rm301) was terrible and I think it became my room specifically because of the salty interaction I had with the front desk clerk. The furnace was broken and the room should have been out of service completely for that alone. The furnace was loud enough to hear outside of the room and halfway down the hall. We didn't have a choice but to use it though. The doors opening and closing throughout the night- I get it, not like people shouldn't use their doors and there's not much you can do about it- but its as if there was no insulation or soundproofing in the walls. The gym is next to the room and shares a wall with 301. Maybe move the dumbbell rack away from that wall.
I didn't sleep. My kids slept, but we were up before 6 because of the noise. I let the front desk know about the furnace and the noise and they claimed to have fixed it that same night, but no they didn't. Nobody entered the room because I was there the whole time.
And obviously it wasn't "adjusted" as the front desk clerk claimed. It was loud 100% of the time. I've expressed my concerns with the front desk, and then again through email to the gm, phone calls to the desk manager and attempts to contact the GM. I spent nearly $300 at a hotel that was too loud and uncomfortable to sleep in. I want a refund. I highly recommend staying anywhere else in cocoa beach. There's no view, It's loud, not well maintained, not comfortable, its overpriced and the service is not acceptable. Four points Sheraton of cocoa beach has earned all one stars that I'm giving them.

Sheraton Athlone

Stayed at Sheraton Athlone. Our server Cathal was exceptional. His warm, friendly personality shined through even behind his face mask. He made us feel very welcome and his recommendation were spot on. We had Chicken Curry on our 1st night which was incredibly delicious and on the 2nd night we ordered the Fish & Chips and Steak, again absolutely delicious. Credit to Cathal as he is an excellent member of your team.

The worst hotel ever! Avoid!

The Sheraton skyline at Heathrow had the worst service I’ve ever received anywhere in the world and I am a regular flyer! The bell boys stood there and watched me and my wife struggle with our kids and luggage as we got out of our car. We had to get our own trolley, they also messed up our room booking! To make it worse they were rude, rarely smiled and had zero customer service skills. Going for breakfast was a mission as they ran out of food and waiters often huffed and puffed when they were asked for items. My wife was pulled up for using the microwave by reception for warming our child’s milk too which got me irate when the manager had instructed that we use this area. I also paid for parking onsite and then received a parking violation notice several weeks later! Stay away from this hotel with shoddy service

Sheraton in Rhodes: Amazing!

Just stayed at the Sheraton in Rhodes: Super friendly staff, great pool and buffet breakfasts that even satisfied our 9 and 7 year olds. Amazing 5 days and only wish we could have stayed longer.... but we’re already planning the next visit.

SHERATON MAUI RESORT & SPA - UNSAFE UNHELPFUL AND GO BACK ON THEIR WORD

Where do I start.....seriously, I will need to just put in bullet form all the things they messed up for us and all the safety issues...as despite some attempt to help with issues initially....the issues kept on coming getting every more serious and Sheraton just ignored them/ went back on their word. Marriott Bonvoy who own the chain, were contacted also and provided with photos...just ignored us also and would not address anything. I have a spinal condition, had contacted the hotel before we booked to make sure they could make some small modifications to support me which they confirmed was no trouble ( spoke in person to Guest Service Manager..... I was a Platinum guest also...but that means nothing as you will see below)
1. Booked for a taxi to collect us at airport as travelling means my spinal conditions hurts to a greater extent and I just need a bit of a rest once I arrive then good to go- cancelled taxi whilst we were in the air....left us to find our own transport walking round with cases...my back was agony...
2. On arrival room not ready with mattress topper and extra pillows I specifically discussed with Guest Service Manager would be needed to support my spine - as need to be propped up and lying in a certain was advised by consultant, to alleviate my spine. Furious about that.
3. They went to get a mattress topper ...it was put on the bed and as it flopped open from its ties..huge green / black mould spores and stains visible! Maids turned it over and it was the same...I wonder if that is what we would have been sleeping on non the wiser if we had not witnessed the state of it ourselves!? In this day and age with cleanliness being even more paramount...unbelievable.
4. It was hours later before room was ready...to apologise manager comped the Luau we booked...but I could only last 15mins and had to return to room as fiasco on arrival meant my spinal condition was worse. It was our special 30th Wedding Anniversary and the Manager instead gave $200 on the room to say have room service and a nice bottle on him to apologise as I could not stay at the Luau....that was nice and accepted .
5. Spinal condition was not better by next night so did not really eat..reception said any unused room credit would be refunded on departure.....it was not and in fact they charged us an extra $65. After leaving we saw the debit on our card and no credit...Manager was emailed he said not getting remainder of $200credit but mistaken $65 would be refunded.....going back on his word...but there was more in between this.....
6. On the night after we arrived when we were supposed to use the credit on room service but I could not as in so much pain could not eat......I slipped on water meaning from aircon.
7. My husband called for help to fix..they said it was fixed but it never was whilst we were there..deathtrap. On reporting it nothing put in an accident book or anything.
8. On the balcony we saw the cement coming away....worried the big lump would fall on people below...so we reported it....nothing done. E did not go on balcony again for fear of the issue, so curtailed our holiday further.
9. The sink was blocked when found once we turned tap on..so could it use sink to wash hands ( during Covid!!!??) I had to bend over whilst my husband held me up under my arms to take strain off spine, as best he could to wash hands over a low bath!!!! Disgraceful!
Left extremely unhappy, but actually happy to get away from there and the significant issues.
Contacted them after and emailed the photos of the dangers again......no response.

Contacted Marriott Bonvoy....who own the chain, they could not care less and said nothing, but I can contact hotel if I needed to. Furious that no one cares, no one takes ownership and any gesture is just retracted. I was in a terrible condition because they could not do a few simple things I had pre-arranged with them before arriving. 😡😡😡 Our 30th Wedding Anniversary we had planned fir 5 years in tatters in day one thanks to Sheraton/ Marriott Bonvoy.

I love the Marriott and the Sheraton!!

I love the Marriott and the Sheraton!!! Both of them my favourite Hotels!!!
I am a Platinum member of the Marriott and Sheraton and not long ago I have received an email saying that I am not far away of becoming a "Titanium customer" which is the highest rank for any member of the Sheraton or Marriott...
Every time I travel to any city in Italy..in the European Union or in the World I go to the Marriott or Sheraton...
Bill Marriott the Head Executive of the Marriott always ensures their platinum members are enjoying their stays!!! By sending them personalised emails after each stay at the Marriott or Sheraton. And by sending them customer satisfaction questionnaires.

Tysons Corner Sheraton Nightmare

Tysons Corner Sheraton Nightmare

Marriott bought a LOSER!

I used to focus on Sheraton and other Starwood brands, but about 10 years ago I got sick of the repeated bad experiences and switched to Marriott, with Hilton as primary backup, and I've been generally happy ever since.

Post merger, I just stayed at the TYSONS CORNER SHERATON near Washington, DC, and it was a simply HORRIBLE experience. The litany of problems is too long to describe here, but delays, frustrations, and safety issues were all plentiful, and it took repeated complaint simply to secure basic services like housekeeping, replacement of dirty towels, replacement of used coffee supplies.

NEVER AGAIN! I will continue to patronize Marriott Brands, but I will go back to avoiding Starwood Legacy Brands (Sheraton, Four Points, Westin, et al.) like the plague.
