Why is there no shipping to Iraq

Why is there no shipping to Iraq, only Kuwait, which is close to Iraq and Saudi Arabia? Do you have a problem with shipping?

Initially, due to the ongoing conflict, carriers had temporarily suspended service to Iraq. Recently, DHL resumed operations, but with longer-than-usual transit times. Based on these positive results, our management is preparing to officially resume DHL services to Iraq in the coming week. Fraudulent on many levels

RESPONSE TO THEIR REPLY:
Every line in their response is a lie, another reason to use Forward2Me instead.
In fact, there are self-contradictions.
- Israel isn't a conflict zone and other shipping companies don't charge extra, and Israel doesn't appear as conflict zone in DHL site (easily verifiable)
- The actual price was 87USD above the calculator price with the properly entered dimensions and destination, exact same details. Certainly, dimensions have no relevant for "risk zone" or "remote area". Their response is self contradicting.
- There were 3 DVDs in the package, clearly shown in their own pictures, not my description. No system should flag this package.
- My account has been locked for shipping to any country
- "While we generally provide international forwarding only" again blatant lie - the help pages clearly state that they offer shipping within the US.

Their response full of lies only strengthens my point that Forward2Me should be used instead.
In fact - it's better in every parameter - similar shipping prices but higher rating. There's absolutely no reason to use this company.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
Company is owned by fraudulent management; I suggest that you use Forward2Me instead which has a higher rating on TrustPilot with many more reviews.

Package containing 3 DVDs arrived at their Delaware warehouse on August 4th (USPS tracking 9549011793415209953679) and they prepared the package for shipping by evening.

Shipping price was 87USD higher than the calculator (DHL was the only available option). I checked again and the calculator still showed the original price.
i.e. the calculator doesn't reflect the actual shipping cost. Such mistake is unlikely to be innocent, and I'm also sure other customers already complained.

Breakdown was 37USD for "DHL danger zone" although I don't live in a danger zone and DHL doesn't categorize it as such. Even more audacious was simply "Additional Surcharge" of 50USD.

I intended to speak with their customer service the next day. By morning - the package was unexpectedly moved to "On Hold"

All of this doesn't make sense for a package of 3 DVDs (which were clearly shown in their own pictures).

At this point I've decided that I don't want any business with this company. The seller doesn't accept returns. It took me hours to generate a shipping label within the US (all label creation companies of all shipping methods reject payments with non US credit cards - I had to find someone with a US credit card) and used it to move the package to Forward2Me which was a hassle-free experience.

First, we respectfully disagree with the term “Fraudulent Management.” Ship7 has been operating successfully in the USA for over 7 years, and transparency with our customers is the foundation of our business.

Regarding Israel shipments:

During the ongoing conflict, many carriers temporarily suspended services. Later, DHL resumed shipping to Israel, but the surcharges applied are entirely determined by the carriers—not by us.

Another customer from Israel had raised a similar concern on Sitejabber. We personally explained to him how carrier surcharges are calculated, and the situation was the same as yours.

Please note, there is nothing for us to gain by overcharging our customers. Our goal is always to provide reliable service. For your reference, we have already shared you DHL invoice via ticket from another Israel shipment that shows a $50 Remote Area Surcharge applied directly by DHL.

We also noticed that you paid only $5 for return handling to ship your package domestically. If you’d like, we can credit this amount back to your Ship7 account as a goodwill gesture.

We sincerely hope this clarifies the situation. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to explain, and we look forward to continuing to serve you.

We would also like to respectfully clarify a few points regarding your concerns:

1. Shipping Service to Israel:
At present, due to the ongoing conflict in Israel, DHL is the only carrier from our partner list offering service to your country.

2. Cost Calculator:
Our calculator works in two ways:
o If only the weight is entered, it shows an estimated rate.
o If both weight and dimensions are entered, it provides the accurate shipping cost along with any applicable surcharges.

In your case, checking only the weight showed $37 + $50 surcharge, while entering both weight and dimensions would have displayed $47 + $50 surcharge. The calculator is designed to work this way for all customers, regardless of destination.

3. Remote Area Surcharge:
The $50 surcharge is not set by Ship7 but by DHL. Such surcharges apply to deliveries in locations DHL categorizes as remote or harder to service, and they help cover additional operational costs. Each forwarder’s rates may differ depending on their individual agreements with DHL.

4. Hold Procedure:
Our system automatically places certain packages on hold when the item description does not match one of the 500+ commonly shipped products in our database. This safeguard is in place to ensure compliance and prevent accidental shipment of restricted or prohibited goods. Once verified, the package is released, This process applies equally to all Ship7 customers.

5. Special Handling in Your Case:
While we generally provide international forwarding only, we made a special exception to allow your package to be shipped domestically to another forwarder. This was outside our standard policy, but we did so in the spirit of helping you.

We regret that this situation led you to seek another provider. At the same time, we are grateful for the opportunity to clarify how our systems and pricing work, as transparency is very important to us. Your feedback is valuable and helps us continue to refine our services for all customers.

One of the worst companies I've dealt…

One of the worst companies I've dealt with. They don't inform you of the terms and conditions of their dealings with shipping companies. They refuse to ship more than three devices with batteries so they can exploit you to pay higher shipping costs. They make excuses for the shipping companies. The packaging is very poor, and your shipment may arrive damaged. The support is very poor; it can take two to three days for them to respond.

After carefully reviewing your case from start to finish, we understand that you attempted to ship used laptops via UPS and noted that you had previously shipped similar items through FedEx and SMSA.

We’d like to take this opportunity to clarify a few important points:

Shipping Restrictions:
As outlined in our https://www.ship7.com/legal/unaccepted-items , bulk laptops and multiple lithium-ion battery items are restricted for international shipment through our service. Unfortunately, it appears these guidelines may not have been reviewed prior to placing your order, and no prior approval was requested for these items.

Due to a technical glitch on our website, the auto-hold that normally applies to such restricted items did not activate, which inadvertently allowed the FedEx shipment to be processed. We have since identified and corrected this issue to prevent it from recurring.

Carrier Compliance:
Please note that restrictions related to lithium batteries are not determined by Ship7 but are governed by international air shipping regulations enforced by carriers and customs. As we do not hold a Dangerous Goods (DG) shipping account, we are only permitted to ship up to 3 lithium-ion battery-powered devices per shipment, as per our contract agreements with the carriers.

Packaging & Support:
Regarding your comments on packaging, we would like to clarify that we have not received any complaints, supported photos, or claimed of damage in this case. Our team strives to pack every shipment carefully and securely.

While we aim to respond to all inquiries promptly, there were times we had to wait for feedback from the carrier, which may have caused slight delays. However, we believe that our team provided consistent updates and full transparency through chat and support tickets throughout the process.

Return & Refund Process:
We coordinated closely with the carrier from the time your shipment was held in customs until it was returned to our warehouse. As the shipment was sent DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid), the return incurred high charges. In the interest of resolving the matter, and as a goodwill gesture, we agreed to cover the partial return fees at your request.

Once you opted to reship via SMSA (we took a special permission upfront this time) to ship to your destination and you successfully received the package without any damage.

We understand that this situation has been frustrating and time-consuming. Please accept our sincere apologies once again for the inconvenience caused.

We hope this explanation clears up any confusion and helps you better understand the limitations and policies we are required to follow.

While we regret that this experience has led you to explore other service providers, we do value your time with us. Your feedback is important, and we remain committed to improving our services.

Ship7 Delivers Value and Excellent Support

I had a great experience with Ship7. I’ve tried other companies that appeared cheaper at first—offering up to 45 days of free storage and free consolidation—but in the end, Ship7's shipping costs were significantly lower.

Their support team was outstanding, consistently responding the same day to every query or issue I raised. I encountered a problem where two of my packages were shipped under the same AWB number, and as a result, the second package couldn’t be delivered initially. However, the Ship7 support team went above and beyond, coordinating closely with the logistics company to resolve the issue. I truly appreciate their dedication and continued communication throughout the process.
