10/10 customer service (thank you, Poppy!!) I hesitated ordering from Shona Joy for a long time due to poor reviews/comments but decided to try my luck with the Arienzo gown because it is the exact cut of dress that looks most flattering on me. For whatever reason the 10% off first purchase coupon didn’t apply (likely user error as I was on my phone) I took a chance and reached out to customer service who refunded me almost IMMEDIATELY. Shipping was insanely fast as DHL usually is to me here in Seattle and the gown is gorgeous, I checked all the seams and construction— no issues. It lays beautifully on me. I love it so much I decided to buy another gown from the La Lune collection and less than 24hrs later received a 30% off coupon, tried my luck again reaching out to customer service and they refunded me AGAIN almost immediately!! This isn’t just a few dollars difference we’re talking over $100 that coupon saved me— I mean truly incredible customer service considering their FAQ states they don’t do price correction after a purchase is made. I’m thinking they must have taken the negative comments to heart and changed up their practices because my two experiences have been nothing but stellar!! I have very few go-to shops anymore but this is officially one of them.

LUXE TF BALLOON SLEEVE DRESS. Looked beautiful and fit nicely but unfortunately the fabric was so bad I'm throwing the dress out after 1 wear! 1st dress was sent back due to a pull, the replacement arrived with little pull but decided to wear anyway. After 1 wear there was a huge pull down the front and the bottom was frayed very badly. Was told it was just wear & tear! So if buying-don't wear shoes, carry a bag, sit on a chair, hug anyone, travel in a car, have any rough skin on your body, move... and you'll be fine!!

Disgraceful customer service

Disgraceful customer service. I had purchased a dress and I felt it was a little small and a bigger size would look better. All I wanted to do was swap the dress for another size that they have in stock. Not an unusual request nor unreasonable. When I asked via the online chat my request was declined due due to quality nature fabric. Never heard such rubbish. The dress had not been worn and had all tags on. Secondly they tried to tell me due to it being on sale nothing could be done. It was actually a discount period and her math was off. Simple mistake. The brand is sold on Iconic and David Jones where I can exchange and refund seamlessly. Yet buying directly I can't, different rules. I eventually was offered a credit note but I need the dress for a function and that would I'd have to spend more money, pay full price and then wait for credit note to use on another item once they received the returned item/dress. After this debacle I won't want to purchase again nor can I support a brand that has nonsensical reasoning so don't want a credit note. To summarise, their original excuse for not swapping was due to fabric quality then they relentlessly agree to credit note. So they do accept returns but they can't swap dresses for another size for what reason? Talk about illogical reasoning! To top it off it was the most patronising customer service that I have ever received and unusual to receive such terrible customer service in these times. No wonder people shop on the larger platforms.

Inaccurate fabric and colours on website

The dress fabric was entirely different than website and social media photography. It looked like linen in the photos and arrived being as thick as corduroy. The colour of the dress was also much different from website photography.

With duties, I had to pay an incremental $150 CAD on arrival and then to return would have cost similar. I would expect this to be flagged on their website that duties are not included or provide an estimate (easy e-commerce add ons to improve your customer experience). I will not be buying from this brand again.

do not shop here especially if you live in the US. horrible customer service and they make you pay for your returns and I had to spend $130 to return back to Australia. also the quality was subpar and the fit is not accurate. im always a size 2, I ordered 8 dresses and none of them looked nice

Do not order from Shona Joy!!!! Terrible customer service and returns process. No ability to get an exchange or refund like every other decent retailer or brand. I will never order from you again and will tell everyone I know to never touch your brand. Worst customer service I have experienced in all my years of buying apparel.

I wish I could give no stars

I wish I could give no stars. I ordered my wedding dress from this company. I live in the US so the hidden shipping fees applied but I went with it. It ended up not fitting and due to COVID I could not just go to the stores and purchase a dress. I returned the dress and they would only honor a gift card. I have been trying to find something I could fit in (I just had a baby and I was slightly bigger in size then normal) since they are not inclusive to all sizes (being 2022 this is insane to me) I had to wait until I lost my baby weight. A year later and now my $360 gift card is disabled and they basically said sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the donation!!! This is gross! Don’t support this company for so many reasons! I’ve emailed, commented on posts and I just get ignored or deleted. Not cool.

I wish it was possible to give less…

I wish it was possible to give less than one star. I ordered a dress and the import tax to the Uk was insane so I declined paying the tax and Shona joy spoke to dhl and asked them to return it. I have this all in writing and now the are claiming dhl delivered it which is impossible as I didn’t ever pay the tax. They ignore all my emails and I will now have to look to take legal action to get money back. Do not use this company ever! Scam!!!!

I ordered my bridesmaid dress from ShonaJoy and am quite please with it. It came very quickly - within a week, though I did have to pay an additional $200 to DHL for the delivery. That was unexpected, but oh well. I love the dress, my sister (the bride) loves the dress, it's beautiful and really great quality. Thanks Shona.

- Very disappointed with hidden costs (+130€ for duty taxes)
- The fabric is really awful, really. I mean, you could easily think is something paid 20€
- Customer service really not caring about your emails, they give you unuseful answers, no solutions at all

In the end: 490€ for something I will never wear (return costs And return management are on the customer, therefore it’s not convenient to return the item if you are based in Europe)

DO NOT order from Shona Joy if you live in the US. I ordered bridesmaids dresses that arrived in a shipping bag that was ripped, with dresses falling out. When I reached out to customer service, they said I could return the dresses, but I was left with a $120 return fee to pay for on my own with USPS. It would have been over $450 with UPS!!

The dresses are not good quality in person and definitely not worth $300+.

I do not recommend.

Disappointing Outcome

Bought 3 dresses and none of them fit properly. Trying to return them and it’s taken me over half an hour to locate a return address with no luck. This return policy is truly timewasting and ridiculous. Why not put a return slip in with the order like other people do!!!
One of my dresses was on sale and a credit note should be an option. When buying online it’s very hard to know the exact fit unlike when you can try In a store. Now I’m stuck with this dress that is a terrible fit and I cannot exchange. Not asking for a refund just an exchange……..
Won’t be shopping from here again

I’ve recently had the most impressive customer service experience with Shona Joy, they went out of their way to support me with a customs duty issue and were completely amazing! (Thank you Emily!).

In general, Shona Joy is lovely with high quality, feminine and trendy items and great options for occasion wear.

Avoid ordering anything from Shona Joy

Highly recommend avoiding this company. They have a terrible return policy and horrendous customer service. Had to pay $55 to mail a dress back that was entirely different than the pictures online. It also took over a week for their customer service team to come back to me.

Horrible retailer

Horrible retailer. Dont waste your time or money! DO NOT BUY FROM SHONA JOY! I spent $550+ on items for nice occasions. Some didnt work out so I sent them back, paying $50. They never arrived in AUS b/c there borders are closed. Two months later I have the items back with me and unsure how I will ever get my money back.
NOT WORTH IT. DONT BUY FROM HERE!!!!
