The shipping rates seem quite inflated compared to other hobby stores. The prices on my items were very good so it actually balances out. My items arrived on time and actually earlier than quoted. I don't care to drive so appreciate the shipping convenience

I would give them no stars if I could. Shipped my package, didn’t tell me it was the slowest way possible. FedEx managed to get it from oklahoma to New England in 5 days, true. Arrived within 40 miles of me on Friday. Told it was out for delivery..lie. Told me it would delivery this weekend.. lie. Told today it had 3 more business days before it was considered late. Also told me to call shipper as they sent it snail mail.

Never will I order from Hobby Lobby and have it shipped. From Fedex to USPS, I haven't received the package and it has been 7 business days. Why does Hobby Lobby charge a Shipping Surcharge? I order on line very often mostly Free Shipping with no Surcharge. Hobby Lobby charge a surcharge on Free Shipping!! I guess another way of making money. I will not buy again. Shipping and Time delivery is too much and takes tooo longgg.

I needed some artificial plants/bushes and the Michael's store didn't allow single quantity purchases so I went on Hobby Lobby. For just a few stems/bushes of fake plants, they charged me $10 for shipping then another $5 for a "surcharge" on shipping. Extremely high shipping rates. I shopped on Hobby Lobby online years ago and don't remember it being this expensive. If you want small items, shop elsewhere. They use Fedex to ship and since I paid so much, I thought it would be fast but it's not. If other retailers could do $5.95 or not charge $15 for shipping, then why can't Hobby Lobby? While I could understand this might not be their fault, they need to think of it from a customer's point of view. If I didn't need these items, I would never order online at Hobby Lobby.

Hobby Lobby has values that I like and good customer service.
I love Hobby Lobby. I shopped there recently and purchased Cricut materials to make my daughter’s saint costume for All Saints Day. I was graciously helped by a manager in finding materials and iron-on sheets for the costume. The woman at the register was Muslim and she was also very helpful (I only point that out because Hobby Lobby gets a bad rap because the owner is a devout Christian and it’s striking that it’s not just people of the Christian faith who choose to work there because of the family values infused into the company’s structure). Another thing that I love about this store is that they are closed on Sunday, so their employees can have a day with their family. Sometimes I need crafting stuff on Sunday and it’s a bummer because Hobby Lobby is my preferred crafting store, but I’m happy the employees get to be home or at their place of worship. I remember when Walmart was closed on Sunday and they were much better than they are now, so I hope Hobby Lobby never changes.
Best Art Framer in Kalamazoo
We go to Hobby Lobby on West Main St. in Kalamazoo for all our picture framing. This is because we've discovered through experience that Amy, in the framing department, is a genius at what she does.
I love art and have used specialty frame shops wherever I've lived. I was wary of a general purpose craft store for this purpose, but a couple of years ago a friend introduced me to this particular Hobby Lobby, and this particular framing artist was on the job. Amy is the best I've encountered anywhere. She is extremely knowledgeable (I learn something new each time), has a perfect aesthetic eye, and the patience to ensure you are happy with what you choose. So many folks in retail seem unmotivated at their jobs and indifferent to customers that it's worth writing a review when you encounter someone responsive and really talented. Thank you, Amy!
Ignorance and Greed prevails here
In years past I visited Hobby Lobby at least twice a month and would usually end up buying quite a bit more than I meant to. Loved that store. This past year, however, I’ve been in there maybe a handful of times and have left twice with nothing.
Their outrageous prices and quality have always been a sore point but with that lovely 40% off coupon and weekly “sales”I could get around that. Without that incentive and the increasing availability of so many things online it has made HL’s greediness more obvious and their store less attractive as a shopping option. Additionally, their ultra conservative stance and decision to no longer sell Halloween related items just further reveals their total ignorance and biases. Anyone with even a little common sense can research the history of the holiday to see that it’s based on many different cultural celebrations of harvest and honoring those who have passed. If they are worried about promoting holidays with pagan roots then they should discontinue Christmas and Easter decor as well. But no, that would cut into their profits too much, wouldn’t it? So, good bye Hobby Lobby! There are many options out there to get what we need that are higher quality, less expensive and not owned by those who are ignorantly self righteous.

Lawrenceville, GA, I bought a Christmas tree and the very next week it goes on sale for 50% off. They told me they will not refund the difference since it’s a seasonal product. Talked to Mike Van Dyke, Co-Manger in the store. All I can say is the guy was a complete ZERO with no business skills. Wow..I want ever be going back to purchase anything from a Hobby Lobby store in the future.

This is for the Hobby Lobby store. I love their seasonal decorations and the sales they offer every week. Kids can get involved preparing for the holidays and seasons by picking out their favorite decoration to add to the porch, table or room. They can learn to crochet or other craft which is a great family activity. They always have a lot of stock,unlike their competitor -Michael’s.

On 9-18-21 I made the worst mistake of the year!! I ordered 6 skeins of yarn from Hobby Lobby. I paid $7.95 shipping and $1.50 shipping surcharge. FedEx FINALLY picked up my package on the 9-23-21. On 9-24-21 & 9-25-21 the tracking said it would be delivered by end of business 9-25-21. At 7pm on 9-25-21 the status updated to delivery date unknown. I live just outside of Dayton Ohio. On 9-27-21 my package was in Florence KY. An hour South of my address. On 9-28-21 at 7am it traveled to Indianapolis In (2.5 hours West of my address). On 9-28-21 at noon my package is in Grove City, Oh. 1 hour Northeast of my address. I hate FedEx. And I will NEVER order from Hobby Lobby again. I had foot surgery and can't drive.
Saved Me More Than Once
As a professional in the creative field I often need unique and hard to find supplies. Hobby Lobby is almost always where I find those supplies. Prices are good, but for me it’s usually more important that I can actually get what I need at a moments notice. If Hobby Lobby continues to stock a great selection of products then I’ll keep shopping here.

Firstly, Hobby Lobby is a thieving company with the worst customer service ever, and I deeply regret ever purchasing from this store. I placed an order for 20 items, and 10 items came damaged. 5 items were completely shattered. 4 items were missing cork tops. 1 item was chipped at the mouth. Hobby Lobby is refusing to refund the 5 shattered items because I don’t have a picture to prove the damage. When glass is broken, it is a natural extinct to immediately throw it in the trash can because it is a huge danger and liability. With 10 items damaged, Hobby Lobby should be doing everything in their power to ensure I receive a full refund. It is absolutely ridiculous to hold myself, the customer responsible for such a mistake. I will never, ever shop at Hobby Lobby again, but in the meantime I need a full refund for all 10 damaged items. I also want to complain about the lack of respect, competency, and decency from both your store and call center employees. Jessica, who works at the store call center is the rudest associate I have ever encountered. Additionally, every single employee refused to escalate the situation to a store or call center manager after many requests. I fully believe Hobby Lobby has stolen my money, and is doing everything in their power to ensure I don’t receive my refund based on their mistake. Please help, as I have emailed and talked to many (including the damage department) with no resolve.

I never received my Order from Hobby Lobby
I never received my package. Hobby Lobby claims Fed Ex delivered package at my door on 4/16/2021. Not true at all. I was home all day Friday.
It appears Hobby Lobby used two different shipping companies to deliver this same order. The one item sent by UPS was delivered with no problem. The other 9 items sent by Fed EX. I never received.
Hobby Lobby Representative Loretta was so nasty and rude. Supervisor Janie was just as bad. They advised me that it was nothing they can do. They refused to file a claim on my behalf for the missing items. They advised me that I have to contact Fed Ex. I contacted Fed Ex. Fed Ex advised me that only HOBBY LOBBY can file a claim for missing merchandise. That is when I called HOBBY LOBBY Back and Janie, Supervisor at HOBBY LOBBY online orders clearly stated to me that FED EX will not investigate Lost Stolen claims and therefore HOBBY LOBBY will not file a claim. She also stated that there will be no refund or investigation. She really was acting as if I was committing some type of fraud.
I called Fed EX customer service today to track my package and they refused to submit a Lost Stolen Claim and told me its nothing I can do other than call the merchant.
I feel that the fed ex employee never delivered my package and kept my merchandise. I also feel that Hobby Lobby condones Fed Ex unethical behavior by not being receptive and willing to file a claim, investigate, recover, resolve, and replace merchandise. I feel this is also part of the reason Fed Ex employees are comfortable participating in such deceptive, unfair, and unethical practices.
It appears that as a customer/consumer I cannot get a fair investigation and I feel Scammed. Hobby lobby refusal to file a claim proves how much they value Certain Customers. After doing some research I see I never had any business patronizing this company after its CEO made some unethical and disparaging remarks.
It appears to me that Hobby Lobby and Fed Ex are in cahoots together. It appears that this type of behavior is a pattern for both companies.
A lot of these companies are taking advantage of the pandemic and using it as an excuse for their unethical behavior. File complaints on these companies with your attorney general.
My advice is only order from merchants that use reputable shipping companies such as UPS and that care about their customer satisfaction rather than condone unscrupulous and fraudulent behavior from contractors/vendors

You will be overcharged at the register and i believe they dont have scanners solely for this purpose. Check your reciept before you leave.
The employees arr rude as hell, I was called a liar about an item that had the same sku same item same packaging except the brand ne was different...both brands are registered as owned by hobby lobby. Basically they were forced to change one word in the name because of copyright issues. The item has the same sku it is the same item same price and everything. Three people including corporate argued with me and corporate tried saying that more than one item has the same sku. THAT ISNT HOW SKUs WORK! Just blatantly lying. Skus are used for inventory every item has a unique sku or they wouldnt know what to order or what theyve sold. These arr the most immoral corrupt people working there and obviously they get it from the scamming immoral, artifact stealing ceo who hides his evil nature under the guise of Christianity. Shame on you all.

Love this store! While it may be more expensive on some merchandise, it carries everything that any craftsperson may desire. And clearance is awesome!!!
