Easy to purchase, and the nav app is unbeatable!

I like the route planning for hiking and map detail. However the way they have amended the app to try and show you other routes is making it a confusing app. The 3d fly through and ability to download and track with GPS is spot on!

I have always used the Ordnance survey mapping both paper maps and in more recent years their digital mapping app.great system

The historic maps website is shockingly bad. No doubt all right when it was designed, but it is at least a quarter of a century out-of-date. So clunky as to be completely unusable.

Actively trying to stop users taking out a monthly subscription. I want to take out a monthly subscription but nowhere on the website does it allow me to do so. All that it is pushing is its free 14 days followed by the full annual cost. I have searched the website and repeatedly called the help centre and either get no or incorrect advice. I have even entered my bank details as instructed and been told I have no subscription, which I distrust and fully expect them to take money they’re not entitled to.
This is not the first time I have had problems with OS and subscriptions.

OS premium mapping online and on the app is a great investment for a walker or cyclist. I use it to find and plan routes and for navigation. Clear detailed mapping as you would expect from OS. Some great features like snap to path make route planning a breeze.

Find it difficult to follow through a complete foot path.
Now have an electric bike. Could you provide all paths that are suitable for bikes. Please.

Bought an OS wall map 5 years ago. Looked great on display initially, but now the colours have faded so that all the blue has disappeared and it just looks pale and faded. I'd expect any painting/print etc. I bought to last for many years whereas this map has soon deteriorated and looks pathetic now. (For the avoidance of doubt, it's been kept in perfect conditions, not in sunlight, near direct heat etc.). I cannot recommend anyone buys an OS wall map.

Edit after OS's reply. I have already contacted Customer Services who refused to take ownership for the problem - reinforcing my view that people should not buy from OS.

I love this app, really helpful to be able to plot routes and generate pdf's from OS maps with or without your route. I wish it had more access to european maps as well, as you can buy other mapping apps that give you OS and European maps,

I love a paper map!
Ever since I can remember I have enjoyed maps. My Dad was a navigator in RAF may have something to do with that! And when on deliveries with him it was my job to navigate! Funnily, he was the examiner for Cub Scout Map Reading badge and was not easy on me!!
Then, a Geography teacher was also passionate about maps - actually the whole Geography subject he was super excited and motivational - inspired us to come with a "new" town and to use the OS symbols - such great memories.
So paper maps are a part of me life and I now have the whole set for the whole of the West Country.
Even better is they are all digitally available on the OS app through the code that comes with each.

Easy to purchase a subscription. Useful and accurate maps for the UK.

​I purchased the digital UK maps, and the OS app has easily become my go-to tool for navigation. I mainly use it on my phone, and it performs brilliantly, clearly showing your exact location and the direction you are facing.

​The ability to seamlessly zoom between different map scales and toggle to the satellite view is fantastic. It is also incredibly useful for planning routes on the web to download to various GPS devices, with turn-by-turn capability supported perfectly on compatible gear. Overall, it offers superb value for money.

Just remember, as with any digital tool, it should always be used in conjunction with a traditional map and compass when you're out in the mountains! Highly recommended.

What you asking me for a review for? My last review was bad because the OS app only works indoors, once you get out into the countryside it often fails! It struggles to connect to its own maps! All my other apps work fine out there on 5G, but not this one. Had to use google maps to find my way because OS failed on 3 separate occasions
