1. Allow configuration of export GPX, it defaults to downloads. I'd like to keep my routes together in a dedicated folder on PC
2. When recording a route on Android, rather too often the recording stops. I don't know why, accidental screen touch? Anyway, there's a fix: if recording is stopped but movement continues then it's probably a "false stop", keep or resume recording.
3. User problem reports can be useful but get too intrusive, cluttering the screen, an on-screen on/off toggle please.

I approached this company as a…
I approached this company as a potential new customer with what I believed was a straightforward enquiry. I spent considerable time preparing it, providing detailed mapping, GPX data and supporting images so it could be properly assessed by the appropriate person.
Instead of receiving assistance, my emails were ignored. When I requested a response, I received none. When I advised that I intended to escalate the matter, the email chain was simply closed with what amounted to a final statement. At no point was it explained why my questions had not been answered, why my enquiry could not be referred to a manager or why it could not be passed to someone with the knowledge to deal with it.
The most disappointing aspect was that my enquiry never appeared to reach anyone qualified to assess it. It was stopped at the first point of contact by someone who either could not or would not progress it. As a result, a genuine sales enquiry was lost before the company had any opportunity to consider it properly.
Having managed and built customer service and call centre operations during my career, I understand that frontline staff are there to resolve enquiries where possible and, where they cannot, to ensure they reach the appropriate person. They represent the business, retain customers and help generate future income. None of that happened here.
I was not asking for special treatment or demanding an immediate outcome. I simply wanted my enquiry passed to the appropriate person, for the evidence I had supplied to be properly considered and, if the answer was no, for that decision to be explained.
Instead, I was left feeling that my time, effort and evidence counted for nothing. A potential customer was turned away without any meaningful engagement or explanation. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company's customer service.

A fantastic aid, especially for cross country walking
I think this relates to a four day walking holiday in Yorkshire some months ago. I have used Ordance Survey on my phone several times on a number of walking/cycling breaks, and have always found the maps extremely detailed, helpful and easy to use.

A useless gift voucher
I purchased the online subscription in a previous year, using a ecard gift voucher. On attempting to renew the subscription using an new ecard voucher I discovered (after contacting the OS Help line) that it is no longer possible to purchase a subscription using gift vouchers.
Vouchers may now only be used for books and paper map purchases. Since I don't want these, only the on line app, I now have a gift voucher that I can't use. Further more, the subscription is available as a free limited trial, but still required credit card details to be input. I think that this is sharp practice and more than a bit dodgy. Unfortunately I will not be dealing with the OS Shop in the future, and if I want to buy a paper map I'd rather buy it from a book/outdoor shop.

Disregard for customer loyalty to Premium App, completely inflexible organisation
OS was completely inflexible when it came to my OS Map Premium renewal. I have been a customer of their premium service for 10+ years having been satisfied with the App and premium functions but what I am definitely not satisfied by is their lack of customer service, flexibility and commitment to loyal customers.
I was due for renewal of my premium service at a discounted rate of £28.99 but my payment card had expired. I received emails from OS warning me but was away hiking in the Lake District (using it!) and did not have any credit cards with me to replace the payment card. I therefore waited until I returned home and called OS Customer support 2 days after expiry of my premium service to be told I had to pay £35.99 and there was no way they could find a way of honoring my loyalty discount.
I find this really surprising and OS's disregard for a long-term customer's loyalty frankly baffling. I will not be renewing my subscription at the higher rate and will cease to recommend this product to friends in future.
A really shocking and frankly disappointing approach from this British Institution in what is meant to be a customer-centric world!

This has potential but some serious flaws
This has potential but it is very limited.
Obviously the mapping is very good. However, the search facility is awful. It randomly guesses what you've typed rather than reads it. For example, "Two Lads" (a location on the Kinder plateau, Derbyshire) takes you to Brighton and Hove.
The tracking is useful but it has so far proved impossible to save that file to any other app.

Digital version didn’t work in app
Received a paper map. Tried to access digital version and the app wouldn’t work. Wasted time on AI chat. Got to a real person and they were able to reset my app account and suggested I opened another account. I gave up in the end! Took too long.

I love Ordnance Survey, the online maps especially the 1:25000 is so useful and the price is really reasonable. If you do any walking or go anywhere outside cities in the UK you should get a subscription.

Just one issue....
Ordnance survey is always good and I have greatly appreciated the services they provide for many years. That said, recently on the app it doesn't appear to be saving the walks I have been recording. Can't find them anywhere on the app now whereas in the past it has always been easy to find them

Great product
Easy to renew, great product. I love having OS Maps on my phone. It allows me to see in detail where I am walking and being able to download the maps means signal is not an issue.

Excellent service, reasonably priced
I've been using OS Maps for years, and although there is always room for improvement, it is a great service and reasonably priced. Their online maps are excellent, as are most of their paper maps.
