No internet at all

First time trying an e-SIM, was very excited but most unfortunately I got no internet at all, despite following all steps for set up and for troubleshooting connection problems. Such a waste of my money. Ended up buying an actual SIM in the country where I was staying.

I had horrendous problems getting connection…

I had horrendous getting connection after setting up the e sim. Whe staff that helped me were very good. I had a 21 day holiday planned for the Caribbean, 3 days in San Juan, 7 day cruise, 5 days on Antigua & 5 days on Barbados. The sim didn’t work in SanJuan, St Thomas, USVI, I worked on part of San Marten, didn’t work in Dominica and it worked in Barbados. I had to cut my holidays short due to a family bereavement and had to leave at the end of the cruise. All in all the eSim was very disappointing. The timeline was the 5 March to the 14 March 2026

older generation beware

For the older generation it is not as easy as it makes out it would. Plus reception in Seinreap Cambodia is terrible.

Fine for a data only plan

Fine for a data only plan, but the voice service did not work for local calling at all. I did start to get spam calls in the middle of the night from France though. I’m going to explore other options next time.
