This is an excellent and cheap way of measuring water hardness. I tested 9 different water samples with very interesting results. Having just purchased a shower head to remove hardness from very hard water, I wish I had asked the company to test this water for me before I purchased.
The water colours are easy to co match with the chart. Quick, cheap and easy.
Well worth the cost if you are interested in your water hardness.

12 days after my order I was told the…
12 days after my order I was told the test was not available and refund made - miraculously it was available again 1 1/2 hours later at a higher price which I had to pay(+£120!), but with no option to use the sample I sent which had been destroyed, Very disappointed particuarly in the communication - I had to call Simplex to request their help with this second higher cost option, to be clear it was not proactively offered and a promised call back was an email stating the cost to me.

The required test for diesel is a unique lab test, from a specialist lab. Unfortunately the lab we use specifically for this test was unable to perform the test at this time after the sample had been sent in. The customer was given a full refund and the option for us to source from an alternative lab of which he agreed, despite the increased cost for the test. The original sample could not be reused due to the time lapsed and would mean the water sample is out of spec for UKAS accreditation. We are very sorry about the inconvenience this has caused.

Very simple to use
Very simple to use. Reasonably priced. Clear and easy instructions. Our results not quite so easy to interpret but emailed pictures in and got fast reply back, as per suggestion on packet, to confirm result.

Sorry to give a bad score but the order number (#48201) we haven't received it to date. We have already tried several times to track the Royal Mail Tracking or Delivery Confirmation: UQ107288417GB, also in DHL and CTT, always gives non-existent number.

We are always happy to assist customers who contact us for a specific test, I see you ordered the 3 Way test strips which test for pH, Total Alkalinity, Total Hardness. These would not be the correct test kit as a reddish brown or rusty colour could be caused by iron (iron oxidisation & iron bacteria) or manganese.
Does exactly what it says on the tin.
