It's extremely hard to get CHC for anyone who isn't actually dying, even when their primary health need seems obvious. The amount of documentary evidence required is daunting, and beyond the ability of loved ones to put together in an effective way. Danielle's expertise and thoroughness in this regard were, I believe, what made all the difference in my husband's case. Danielle and team made applying for CHC funding so less stressful than if we had done it alone. Danielle is friendly, approachable, professional, knowledgeable and very thorough, gaining, reading and referencing mums care notes, medical records etc. She was always available on the end of the phone if I had any queries, went above and beyond with mums case. I have been working with the Senior CHC advocate Danielle Whitfield-Freer. Danielle is very well informed and proactive. She was able to advise me on many issues and always had time to either speak on the phone or email. Due to her advice I continued to receive health funding for my husband with Parkinsons. Danielle took the time to speak to me about my mums CHC appeal at great length, she gave me lots of useful information and listened to all my concerns. I used a different Advocacy service for the DST as I was not aware of this service at that time , if i had been I would have 100% used them instead of other company. If our LRM is unsuccessful I will most certainly be using them for the stage 2 appeal. Only regret is not knowing about then a few months ago !

When I first contacted Danielle she was about to go on leave! However, she took the time to listen to me, advised me and, thankfully, agreed to take on our CHC funding case despite the short timeframe as the assessment date had already been set. She was able to push back the date and attended the assessment in person, thoroughly prepared!

Danielle is always readily available. She quickly answers any questions and she gave me invaluable support, not only during the CHC funding process but also afterwards!

I found the whole process extremely stressful and certainly I don’t think I could have got through it without Danielle’s support.
