Really bad❌❌❌❌❌ noooooooo

Very good experience with SIXT. The staffs were very friendly while we checked rented and gave us the best car which will be comfortable for us with our baggages. I would recommend SIXT, Salzburg city centre any day.

I cancelled a booking in November 2025, and was due a refund of €600. Sixt claim to have made the refund re payment in November 2025 , but it’s not arrived, and they are now refuse to do anything to assist. I’ve been a long standing and loyal customer of Sixt but that doesn’t matter apparently. Currently looking at options to escalate, and have already raised merchant dispute against Sixt. Very strongly recommend going with a different car hire company . It’s been 6 weeks of endless emails and being passed from one person to another - it appears to be a deliberate tactic.

Five-star experience at Sixt Vienna Schönbrunn! The staff were very professional and the pick-up/drop-off was incredibly fast. The Peugeot 3008 I rented was in perfect condition—clean, modern, and very comfortable to drive. Highly recommend this specific location for anyone visiting Vienna

Dangerous car & missold upgrade. The car was described specifically as having winter tyres. It did not. It had AS210 all season tyres. We were driving in 1cm of fresh snow (normal in Austria) and the car had no control and got stuck on a very gentle incline. Also had very poor braking. We turned back and borrowed a friend's 2015 Skoda Fabia on winter tyres. It made the drive with ease. Secondly, below 0 deg C, the washer fluid was frozen. It only worked on one occasion after being in an underground car park. The fluid mix in winter in Austria should be mixed to suit -20 minimum. We couldn't clean the window while driving, which is extremely dangerous. Thirdly, the car suffered bad front vibration under braking between 60-100km/h, indicating worn suspension components or warped disc brakes. The car handling and braking is therefore not able to operate effectively. SIXT are clearly saving money while risking customers lives. Lastly, we had been offered a Skoda Kamiq as our booked car, but were sold an upgrade on the basis that the Kamiq would not suit the luggage we had with us, and advised to take a Citroen C3 Aircross instead at an extra cost of c. €240. In reality there was plenty of space, and the C3 has a 410l boot capacity compared to 400l in the Kamiq. The Kamiq would have suited our needs perfectly and no upgrade was necessary. I demand a full refund on this booking from SIXT Austria. A life endangering car, missold and misadvertised, and an unnecessary upgrade.

Friendly and nice check-in location and process although the clerk did seem to be incentivized to upgrade the vehicle. Vehicle was clean and in very nice condition and we really enjoyed it during our stay in Austria. I also appreciated the phone call the day before return and the return process was very easy. Would have been good to get a more detailed explanation of the extra charges on return.

Good quality cars, also reflected in the price, like to hire BMW, because familiar with the setup. Good explanation how to get the key and bring the car back.

Very bad service, the person is cheating doesn’t need to give my reserved, give me one that has big accident and insist it’s same class, doesn’t need to give my money back
