Good installation, good communication throughout.
We've just had two sash windows replaced, but it looks good. The area was left tidy and only required minor touch-ups (to be expected when two windows are ripped out). We were surprised how little work it required.
The windows are good quality from what we can see, and look good too!

Product and overall installation is…
Product and overall installation is high standard, pre-install service great and helpful. Some minor issues with install (left the site messy, minor issues with finish, minor damage to property) which proved challenging to resolve and completely unwilling to offer any discount despite not all damage being possible to repair, not to mention wasted time and effort.
Need to be more customer focused when things don’t go plan.
Edit following reply: to reiterate the product is great, the tone of this reply is the issue when things don’t go to plan.
Agree to disagree, it's just my view.
No issue with snags, they are fixed.
Site left a mess and damage to child cot which was denied by fitter - not OK really.
£50 discount off a £6k job when also adding £60 for parking when I paid for permits, also not really OK. I expected a couple of hundred quid discount & my view would be very different.
For anyone reading, windows are great, would use again.

However, I think what you have written is a bit inaccurate. You emailed us on the 10th of June highlighting a snagging list. We replied the same day asking for some pictures, so we could assess what needed to be done. You came back to us on the 11th of June and we visited your property on the 12th. We rectified the issues that you had highlighted within 2 days of you bringing them to our attention. I even have an email from you that reads “To confirm all sorted – thanks again for coming over and rectifying these issues quickly.”
Furthermore, we not only offered you a discount, but applied a discount to your invoice. Clearly you aren’t happy with the level of the discount and this is where your “review” has come from.
There is no tone to this reply. I have simply stated the sequence of the events, which contradict parts of your review. It is quite clear you simply weren't happy with the level of discount we granted.
We take all feedback seriously and are constantly reviewing how we can do things better.
Brilliant trust relationship from start…
Brilliant trust relationship from start to finish. Was walked through the requirements as we have a preservation order to deal with. Fitters were onsite at 7:30 each day and did a full shift to get the job done in 3 days and 7 windows.
Really impressed with the service - well done guys!

Highly recommend SJB Windows, delighted
I had had a horrendous experience with one of the other London based sash window companies. I don't feel comfortable sharing which company here, but I'm sure SJB will happily tell you if you ask them as they put up with me wittering on about how stressful it was on several occasions! It was awful and I had to file a Section 75 claim to get my money back on that previous contract from my credit card company. It was a distressing and time consuming experience. So I can honestly say that having my windows finally made and installed by SJB Windows was a fantastic and seamless experience; I put the order in as soon as I got refunded the (many thousands of pounds) payment I had made the other company, who left me with windows that didn't fit, butchered walls, and without half the windows I had paid for. SJB measured correctly, they had a decent lead time, they communicated articulately and clearly, the windows are high quality, the installers were lovely, and their finish to a pre-decorative standard of the walls around the new boxes (nasty messy job taking the old ones out) was of a high standard. I am delighted with my new windows (new boxes and sashes) and they look fabulous. Already some neighbours have said how smart they look. Thank you to everyone at the company, you gave a terrible situation a happy ending and I so relieved. I would very happily recommend you.

the first installers should have solved and warned to the company and the client of the problems that occurred
The first installers were not very communicative but generally correct. When they finished installing the doors I indicated that it seemed to me that there was a lot of separation between them and they did not close properly, but they did not pay much attention to me. That was when the next day I called Glen Whitaker to inform him and he very efficiently and kindly sent me an installer to correct the hinges and adjust the doors to close properly to prevent air from passing through. The problem was corrected, thank you! But after a few hours I realized that there was another problem, the lock did not close with the key... so I called the company again and another installer came back to see the problem. The installer could not solve the problem and a new lock had to be ordered...Finally, after a few days, another installer came with a new lock and the problem was finally solved. In my point of view, the first installers should have solved and warned to the company and the client of the problems that occurred and not making the client responsible for making all the calls, informing the company of each problem every time.

As you have described, you reported that you had difficulty operating your doors the day after they were installed, to which arrangements were made for one of our team to attend that same day to make some adjustments, and after this visit your initial concern was resolved. Unfortunately, the following day you had trouble locking the doors with the key. Arrangements were made for one of our team to attend that same day. During this visit, the euro cylinder was found to be faulty. As I’m sure you can appreciate these things can happen from time to time. A replacement was ordered and it’s fitment carried out promptly once received. We were responsive to your contact and the problem was resolved quickly. Although not the 5 star review we strive to achieve, this review should give anyone reading this the reassurance that if an issue does arise with one of our products, it will be rectified immediately.
