Unreliable business so avoid this business

-They came to my house 30-minutes late without any notice and nobody answered when I tried to call to check what happened.
-I have booked a 3.5 ton Luton Van and additional porter (1 driver + 2 men) as they suggested as I have many books and to bring things down from 3rd floor
-When they finally arrived to my flat a guy looked around stuffs at our rooms (all packed in advance and ready to remove) and started to load the stuffs to the Van
-In the middle of job they told me my stuffs will be over weighed so they may get the penalty if they were caught by police. They asked me to sign that I shall pay for the penalty if it happened, I did.
-They did carry it out but again soon after they told me they can not the job so I have to hire another van or big truck.
-They stopped the job and I talked to the office. They asked me to hire another Van and man for additional cost of £750. I refused.
-The guys offered that paying extra £500 if they finished the job without being caught by police and lowered to £400 when I refused. -It means that they could do the job as planned but they were trying to rip off by manipulating the situation and threatening no removal today if I don't accept the offer.
-I offered £100 as a bonus if they did the job without paying the penalty but they refused and run away after leaving all stuffs in corridor of every floors. I did not even see their leaving.
-The office man refused to return my deposit as I did not help them to bring it back to my flat.
-I said that loading and unloading is their job although I have offered to help it to finish asap but it is not my obligation.
-They again to refuse to return deposit by saying that I did not give full details on the removal but I have given full addresses and floors of the both flat. Also I noticed that I have many books but all my stuffs could fit into one Luton Van as I did it same some months ago. (Furthermore I have thrown away many boxes of books as I have experienced a bit hardship last time.) Anyway Skyline actually reconfirmed all my details when they asked me pay a deposit.
-This is a ridiculous excuse and untruthful business attitude that left us a mess. Whether I booked with them a month ago or a day before my moving, if they are in doubt whether they could fulfill the job they should have inspected my stuffs and suggested any other options before asking me pay a deposit and starting the job.

All deposits are non-refundable. The only reason we could not complete the move was that his goods were too heavy and we could not have loaded them up in the vehicle without exceeding the weight limit which would have resulted in a fine of around £500. We explained this to the customer who was not willing to pay the additional cost and we told the other option was to hire another vehicle which would have obviously cost more money.

Of course we do appreciate that customers do not want to pay more but that was not our choice. The situation demanded either extra payment for the fine or the additional vehicle. The customer initially seemed to understand the situation we were in but it was only because we did not give him a refund that he has written this unfair negative review. Furthermore, this customer had booked with another company but called us on Wednesday because that company had cancelled the booking and I am guessing they knew this move would be problematic, we should have been suspicious too.

Worst removal company ever!

Where do I start?!

The Lady in the office was polite and quick to take payment for the removal.

She suddenly became rude and even said she didn’t care, when I advised her that they had not removed the dishwasher and had in fact damaged the kitchen tiles and broke the dishwasher door. At one point I was even told to p*** off and that she hung up on me several times.

The service they claim to offer of taking down and putting items back together is also very poor. They missed half of the fixings to my daughters bed which had I not have noticed, could have caused harm to my daughter.

The guy in charge called Ali was apparently not available when I called to speak with him. I was instead told I was being too picky and I wouldn’t get any money back.
The lady in the office hung up numerous times and told me to go away.

The infamous Ali was also very unhelpful throughout. He carried out a survey on my property by way of FaceTime video call.
He confirmed I would need just 2 Luton vans. Later, I receive a quote confirming I more than likely would be needing 3 x Luton vans at an extra £300. When I called back to question this, I was fobbed off and I confirmed I didn’t need a 3rd van. Clearly just trying to up-sell unnecessarily.
Another issue which could have been foreseen prior to the removal was the size of the dining room table and bench which made their packing a lot harder apparently.
Also the dishwasher was a tight fit and after half n hour, the 3 guys could not figure out how to remove it and ended up breaking the door, breaking the bottom of the dishwasher and removing tiles (which the new owners were not happy about).
In the end the dishwasher was left there and I had to return with a friend a few days later to collect. In doing so, there was no further damage to anything and the dishwasher was removed successfully.

Just as they made out they had finished loading the first van, they began to lower the shutter door which I quickly looked inside. I asked why they were closing the door when there was still at least 15/20% of the space left? They advised it was due to the weight of the van which I found strange because it was mainly light boxes with kids toys etc. Miraculously they managed to fully bulk out the second load which was clearly a lot heavier than the first load.
This company are absolute Crooks!!!

When the guys turned up to carry out the removal, they parked straight down the side of my house, blocking the side access which another company needed to access the removal of the garden items.
I was passed onto Ali who said he would speak to his guy and resolve. Instead, the guy carried out and didn’t move the van. When I asked why he wasn’t moving the van, he advised it was because Ali had told him to carry on and make their job easier.

If your looking for a professional and polite company to carry out your removal, DON’T USE SKYLINE!!!!!

This customer wanted compensation for the fact that his dishwasher could not be moved without structural damage being done. Despite our advice he not only accepted responsibility but put it in writing too, but now wants compensation for the damage but that is entirely his responsibility. Also, it is highly ironic for him to allege that we were impolite when he called and ranted and called our receptionist the C word. Not a nice person.

Good move out on last week

We had a good experience with Skyline Removals company on last week, when we moved out from London to Surrey.

Being pregnant, we decided to let the company dealing with all our boxes and we can say that everything was done in a good professional way. They dealt with all our furniture and items carefully, and everything arrived in our new place without any damage.

They also offered a very competitive price compared to other companies we received a quote from.

We would therefore highly recommend them if you plan to move.

Do not use them

the handlers arrived half an hour late. When I asked if their previous job ran over they replied that they didn’t have any other jobs that day. In other words, no excuse for being late.

Secondly, they were the laziest handlers I’ve ever come across. They would only take lighter items, I had to carry the heavier ones which resulted in bad bruising over my arms. One of them didn’t even come into the flat because “he was keeping an eye on the truck”.

Lastly, they were very impolite and in no rush whatsoever. It seemed as if they were slow on purpose so that I pay them for an extra hour. 15 mins before the 2 hours were up they wanted to start discussing how I want to go about getting an extra hour. They were so bad that I’d rather finished carrying myself than keep them any longer

All in all very disappointing service and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone

Aside from the fact that yes the removal team were late due to an accident on the M25 everything else is just plain false. Both the driver and porter were engaged in loading/unloading his items, of which there was more of than he had told us to begin with. We provided the service he paid for which was on an hourly rate service and to be absolutely frank there should be a website where we removal companies can write reviews of customers who should be avoided like the plague.

Having read mixed reviews I was a bit…

Having read mixed reviews I was a bit reticent, but the team arrived promptly and loaded my things with no problem. My new place is on a first floor with no lift and it was one of the hottest days this summer. The team was amazing, unloaded everything very quickly and although a very tiring and difficult move they carried on until everything was done. No problems at all.
Would definitely recommend.

Worst removal company ever

Worst removal experience ever. They broke my garage door whilst moving and then never answered my calls or called back. They just disappeared. I paid £600 for removal and £1800 for garage door, do the math. Stay away from this company at all costs.

Edit: In the reply, they are not telling the truth. They wanted to use the garage door! And they just disappeared after removal and never answered my calls. I wonder how they "explained it"? After all the damage, "great" would be the last word to describe their service. Simply do NOT trust them.

In other words, you have no complaint about the removal service itself which is great as we did deliver a great service. Regarding the damage to the door, as we have already explained to you time and again, the fault was yours as you did not ensure there was good access for the vehicle and of course your mistake cost you money.
