I had been a customer of Sky for 24…

I had been a customer of Sky for 24 years. My latest two year TV contract ended last October. I had been unhappy with their general increase in rates the previous April. I had a competitive discounted rate, but the increase in April was double the average percentage they quote, as their percentage increase quote is based on the gross rates. I rang Sky to highlight this discrepancy, but said they couldn't do anything (I felt wouldn't). I could only do something about it at the end of the contract. I terminated my contract in October, as I was not prepared to be in a two year contract where I could be held to ransom halfway through. The expected happened, I have since been offered better rates on a package I didn't want. I'm still happy to have ended my contract and can see no way back.

Once majorly bitten twice shy !

I cancelled my sky tv, broadband and phone on the 18th June

Since then I have made a number of phone calls including trying to stop you texting me and sending me reminders about equipment etc and a final one about owing an outstanding amount but I would get a refund as well
After a further discussion I paid the supposed outstanding money and then I was promised a refund now on two occasions .
The first refund was promised on the 23rd July and nothing received I was also promised the packaging to send back the router and TV equipment which hasn’t arrived .. and then to receive another text from you stating if I don’t send the equipment back you could charge me £53!
I spoke to a representative yesterday who said that it will all be resolved, the money that you owe me and the packaging would be sent and he would confirm via email/ text and guess what… Nothing Has Come Through !!!! The confirmation correspondence or the money

Absolutely disappointed absolute terrible service

Worst broadband and TV provider I've…

Worst broadband and TV provider I've ever come across. After mis-selling my mum a couple of new products (she was asked if she want to have some bonus products as an apology for an error they'd made on her package), they were then added to her monthly bill.

After noticing it suddenly jumped up, I called with her and asked them to remove it and refund the money. They argued with her! I was on the phone for over an hour.

Eventually we got her to agree to remove it and refund. Next month, the bill was higher! Each month the bill varied, up and down, up and down. Which is weird as she was on a fixed package.

THEN we eventually got through to a UK office who agreed it was not good enough, apologised and offered to help. After promising to rectify everything, return mum's money and give her £15 compensation - I argued and they agreed £30, she never even got it anyway.

We got out the contract and left.

Even after returning the Sky Box etc mum got warnings saying she would be fined for not returning them!!

I eventually blocked their number and cancelled all DD just in case.

Awful experience. Terrible money grabbing, soulless company with very angry (often sarcastic) staff in their call centres.

NO Cusotmer service - absolute rubbish !

I have been trying to contact sky and speak to a human being regarding my problem with my SkyQ box continually losing the internet. I continually get a generic message saying to call the support centre but when i ask what the number is it just sends the same message it sent previously. Earlier on in the week i called one number which then told me to call another number which then told me to go online. I do not want to go online, i want to speak to a human being and stop wasting my time and getting nowhere. This is ridiculous, the fees they charge and the level of customer service is beyond pitiful. I am seriously thinking of cancelling my Sky subscription given how poor their customer service has been.

Worst company I have dealt with as a consumer

If I could give 0 stars I would. I took up Sky Cinema in Dec 2024 which offered two cinema tickets every month. I did not get any tickets for 2 or 3 months so I complained to Sky and got fobbed around various departments and eventually got a message from the Sky Cinema team saying they could not help and is should contact Customer Services. These big companies don’t offer to contact them for you - they just give you a number to call and keep you waiting for ages. All in I must have spent over 3 hours of my valuable time trying to sort this out. I requested that they refund the Sky Cinema charges they were making each month from Jan 2025 and offer suitable compensation for wasting my time. They offered £10 which is completely inadequate and I rejected it immediately. I think they deliberately keep you hanging on and pass you around different departments so that you get fed up and give up! I think it is the worst company I have ever dealt with and they keep increasing charges at exorbitant rates. I am thinking of switching to another supplier after this episode but I doubt whether they care much. They seem to run as a monopoly and act like a dictator. Their attitude is take it or leave it.

Sky High Prices, Rock Bottom Service

Long-time Sky customer—until my bill crept up to nearly £100 a month. When I tried to cancel, it took over an hour and repeating "I’d like to cancel" at least 10 times to get anywhere. Despite clearly stating cost was the issue, I was bombarded with upsells instead of being listened to.
Appalling customer service for what is considered a VIP Customer. All sales, no support. For a luxury product, the experience was anything but.

Sky are crooks

Don't go with sky. You will regret it so much. Maybe they were good in the past but not now. If you do manage to get through to someone on customer services they will just tell you a lot of crap and not actually do anything. God forbid you try to cancel. If you ever do cancel your direct debit because they will just keep taking your money and add extra services. Somebody should be policing sky because they just do what they want

Sky- Openreach are terrible

You reported a fault Saturday morning.

Received SMS confirmations from both Sky and Openreach that:

The fault was acknowledged.

An engineer would fix the issue externally within 2 working days (so, by today).

Sky did not inform you of any change in status when you spoke with them yesterday.

Now you're being told Openreach never accepted the job, despite the SMS from them.

Question now is:

Why are they now saying Openreach didn't accept the job?

Why was i told it would be resolved today (22nd), if that wasn't accurate?

IS THIS THE REAL SKY? Come on Trust Pilot!

Come on Trust Pilot!? ***IS THIS THE REAL SKY?*** As in sky.com in the UK? If so why are there only 700 reviews here - should be many thousands? Or are they spread out on purpose SKY!? Hidden. And where is the SKY logo here (like the German or Austrian locations)? There are so many sky companies listed in a search HOW are we supposed to find the real thing? Why 1 star now? I'm looking at a new sky tv and broadband package for my elderly parents yet can gain little to no TRUST here. Also never forgetting my own nightmare experience in leaving SKY 20 years ago after being with them for over 10 years. Banging my head on a wall and like pulling teeth trying to get away. And it looks like nothing has changed here. Hence 1 STAR I should have submitted years ago. Please reveal yourself and let's see the real TRUTH.

We have recently moved house and have been with sky for 25 years and they have been the worst part of the whole removal experience
Their customer service is useless and they have not got a clue how to look after customers they are so incompetent it’s untrue they cancelled our service but are still chasing us for money because they are not aware of this
They have supposedly restricted our services that’s a joke because we don’t have them in the new house totally useless company

Ignorant Sky sales employee

Ignorant Sky sales employee. 19.05hrs 18th July, sky rep in Sky TV signed car parked on my drive way for no obvious reason. Enquiries revealed that he was attending a neighbours address and their drive was full. Sky employee was argumentative and refused to move vehicle saying he was human and would only be 15 minutes. Sky rep was instructed to move the vehicle at which point he became insulting before eventually moving the vehicle. Throughout the sky rep for some reason kept on insisting he was `human`. Quite frankly I don`t give a Monkeys what species he is, sky reps can`t park on my drive without authority. I would have complained direct to Sky but their website was insisting on me opening an account to do so. Another one star for Sky. email provided for sky when they wish to apologise.
Update - Shortly after Sky rep left neighbours property 5 plastic water bottles found to have been dumped on lawn. Unfortunately that lawn is actually owned by the neighbour i.e your prospective customer. The Sky rep is a balloon and needs advising regarding is conduct.

Took Sky over a year to pay back money owed!

I cancelled my sky over a year ago (I was a loyal customer for around 18 years). Just had an email a year later!!!! To say they owe me £41.57!!! How have they worked this out a year later, no sorry, that money could have been sitting in my bank making me interest instead of theirs. I don’t have a new home at the moment but it’s definitely made me think that I am more than likely not going to get sky ever again. Their customer service is really awful.

Trying to get out of SKY is a nightmare

Both myself and partner are having separate issues because of stopping SKY. I had to get another provider for the internet because of slow speed (less than 1 mps). She stopped after many years, giving notice and sending the equipment back. We are both getting threats of legal action and debt companies chasing us - one is for less than £15 - We cannot work out what this is owed for.

Poor customer service, very frustration

After 14 years as a customer at sky i decided to cancel- should have been a 5 minute job. After 45 minutes oncall with an agent i was assured that my contract would be cancelled at a future date to allow a month’s notice as i was abroad on the day it ‘should’ be cancelled. I came back and of course the contract was not cancelled as agreed. i have this morning spent another 25 mins discussing why this wasnt done as agreed and still no comfirmation as they need to listen to the 45 mins conversation i had with the previous agent to work out what was said about the cancellation in that call- argh!!! So now i have another conversation about this issue to look forward to next week and maybe then i will finally be out of contract…
