Don't use them-It's a terrible service all round

Terrible service all round, I wish I'd not changed my provider. I had to wait 3 months and spend hours on the phone before my broadband was connected (and don't believe their compensation promise, I was offered £93 for 85 days without WiFi) and I was mis-sold their basic tv offering as on a par with NOW's basic version, only to discover that I couldn't watch most channels and 90% of the programmes that I'd been able to watch previously. To add insult to injury, they took payment for several months before I had any service on either broadband or tv and more hours on the phone were needed to get a credit to my account. I have now cancelled the dreadful tv service but frankly am expecting more issues in getting the account credit actually repaid. My advice would be to try anybody else first, it's not worth the small savings that you make.

Phone Line BS

When their phone lines open at 8 am and lots of people are calling they have an automated message saying that they have a technical problem which is complete and utter BS. They just can’t take your call.

Awful

Awful, awful service. Simply moving house and want to book a technician to set up a new dish. Taken over 4.5 hours so far and still no where near getting an idea of when a technician can come out. Far easier to just cancel Sky altogether.

Why has customer service become so poor these days.

I was approached in the street by a Sky…

I was approached in the street by a Sky representative who signed me up for their services, but from day one it has been nothing but stress. I waited four months without ever receiving any TV service, which left me frustrated and disappointed. I eventually decided to cancel, as the situation was causing me unnecessary stress.

Since then, it’s only got worse. For the past two months I’ve been back and forth to shops four times trying to return the equipment, but they refused to take it back. I’ve spent hours on the phone chasing for collection, yet nothing is resolved. On top of this, I receive daily threatening texts and have even had to report the matter to the police for harassment.

Despite never receiving the service I was promised, Sky claim they “compensated” me — but all that really meant was not charging me for something I never got in the first place. That’s not compensation.

Overall, this experience has been extremely stressful, unprofessional, and unfair. I would strongly caution anyone before signing up with Sky.

Not able to watch the premiership…

Not able to watch the premiership season opening game , Liverpool v Bournemouth, all of the other channels are working on sky, their back end support team is useless, just going around and around for 1 /2 hours. I have not been happy with the price increases of late however paid these for the football and hey presto it does not work for the first game, I just cannot believe their technical support line is so diabolical - now thinking of leaving, do not expect a response to this complaint however surely they are regulated and based on the appalling reviews on trust pilot there seems to be a good case for an enquiry from the regulator

Sign me up for a contract I didn't ask for or want.

Yup, rang to cancel Sky Sports and they've signed me up for another 2 year contract. I made it very clear on the phone call I didn't want a new contract.

Once I received an e-mail of my new contract I immediately contacted the complaints department. They have come back to me stating they can't find any evidence of me contacting them this morning, even though there is a new contract in place.

Terrible customer service.

God I wish I'd read these reviews…

God I wish I'd read these reviews before switching! Switched to Sky Glass and Full Fibre to save money when last contract ended, so wish I had stayed with Sky Q. TV often won't turn on, 'recording' series via playlist seems to work only when it feels like it, and the voice recognition is like a trip back to the 1990s! In short, don't bother, it might be worth a try in 3 or 4 years if and when they iron out the glitches. Customer service also now a total joke. Might just save myself £100+ a month and go back to normal telly.

Would give zero stars if available

Would give zero stars if available. Telephoned to query the steep rise in cost from previous months. Operator make a very small reduction but then tied us into a further 2 years contract which we did not agree or discuss. No doubt there is fraudulent activity going on in there non UK Call Centre. I believe there is systematic fraud that is in built within their call Centre. Poor behaviour and values. I am a VIP customer ( reality means nothing) . I want out of sky . Trying to speak to anybody that understands English or indeed speaks English is a rare. If you can manage to speak to a Scottish person then you will be fine.
Appalling.

They must be jokingI just wanted to change my account…

I just wanted to change my account address, which Sky insists must be done by phone.
Called the number only to be told there was a likely 35 minute wait and that was roughly accurate!
The agent claimed they do it that way to prevent fraudsters taking over an unsuspecting persons account and ordering God knows what, but I don't buy that. They either need to properly staff the Helplines or move such basic stuff to online self-help. If banks and other similar institutions allow online amendment of all personal details, Sky should be able to have a system that can deal with potential fraudulent activity too.

Sky treats its customers like trash.

Trying to change the address for my elderly uncle's account as he is moving into a care home. He has had Sky for decades and it's his last remaining pleasure. The online service change of address form doesn't work. The phone number to call is hidden on the "Complaints" page. Set up an engineer visit for six week's time (!) to get him set up at his new address. The confirmation email I got however shows his old address as the address for the visit. Called the number again - I am apparently going to get a call back tomorrow afternoon. Will it happen? I doubt it, because Sky's customers are nothing to them.

20 year customer - make up own prices depending on the wind.

I've been a customer of sky for 20+ years. Apparently that makes me a VIP customer. I agreed a new contract in May 2025 for my sky Q and broadband of £75. 3 months later there still taking £103. I contacted in July and they apologised and "resolved" the issue. August came along, and they still take £103. I raise a complaint. They say they will acknowledge my complaint via email. No email. I get a call from sky, great I think, someone's going to resolve this. No no no, sir they say, I'm calling to discuss new products and services.

This company has no communication. There is zero interest in loyalty. They clearly have the mentality of there are millions of other customers so we will just do what we want and won't follow through with promises. Modern day pirates.

Totally non-existent service!

Last night my Sky TV service abruptly stopped. I have a message that says there is no signal. Troubleshooting achieves nothing.
I have just spent well over an hour trying to get useful input from a human being. They are not interested.
I was eventually told that they would get an engineer at which point I was directed to Domestic and General who only wanted to know my policy number.
I've been with Sky 21 years. I've had enough. As have all the other reviewers!

awful company

awful company! I paid £700 to pay off my phone, they wouldn't allow the final payment and said it had to go through direct debit, the direct debit was cancelled and I had no notification the payment was missed, I now have a missed payment on my credit file and saying its in arrears, sky refuse to correct it knowing its had an impact on me. I wish I hadn't paid the phone off now! the lack of customer care is abysmal. if anyone is looking for tv or internet services, please look elsewhere. ill never use sky ever again!!!! they used to be a great company, im not sure what happened to them, they genuinely could not care less about customers

18.5% price increase after 6 months

Purchased a £54 package from Silverburn Hub in Glasgow. Was told that there is small price increase (normally) in April.
July arrives & my package goes up to £64.
Spoke to Sky call centres who told me that price increases vary & it’s normally an average of +6%. Mine was +18.5% & could only reduce it by £1.
When next In Silverburn (2nd Aug), I saw the same person who sold me the package. She didn’t recognise me & the same £54 package was on offer.
I said “will that £54 package go up at all?”
Her response, “only by a couple of pounds in April”.
I said “can you explain then why the EXACT SAME package that YOU sold me in Jan 25 has went up £10 per month”.
She looked at My Sky App & was seemingly surprised.
She said that I can cancel my contract. I said now know that I can, because I’ve spoken to your Call Centre this week. However what you’re telling people is incorrect & misleading.
It should say, the £54 starts at £54 & will increase without warning outwith the usual April price increase & price increase can be +18.5%.
Misleading advertising by Sky. Training is clearly required for the Hub sales team in Silverburn as this is clearly continuing 7months later.
