We are so, so pleased with our nameplate. It’s a lovely thick slab of slate with deeply engraved lettering, delivered within a week of ordering. We wanted our house name on an oval plate, in English and Welsh, with a motif in the centre, which we knew would be more expensive than a single name on a rectangle, but we were able to choose a size that was within our budget, without compromising on the quality or clarity of the sign. It’s absolutely beautiful.

We approached Ben to produce a memorial slate for our mother. He responded quickly and and has produced an excellent memorial for her. We are very happy with his work and wouldn't hesitate to use him again in the future.

I cannot rate the service more highly. I ordered via email a memorial slate for my husbands grave and Ben was very patient with me until I and my family were happy with the size, font and overall appearance of the item. It was delivered the very next day . Amazing

We visited Ben by appointment and spoke to him at some length about exactly what we wanted in the way of a mantel clock (our Golden Wedding anniversary present to each other). He was really helpful, making suggestions, making the clock to our exact measurements and the finished clock is absolutely beautiful and we are delighted with it. It arrived by courier, beautifully packed. We would not hesitate to order anything in slate from him and would recommend him without hesitation

Beautiful work! We are really pleased with the sign. We asked Ben Thomas of The Slate Workshop to engrave a door sign for our front door. We needed a particular font for the title and Ben found a brilliant match. We were consulted at every stage and are so pleased with everything about the whole process. Would certainly highly recommend.

The slate plaque was of very high quality and beautifully finished off we were very pleased with it and have no hesitation on returning in the future.

We ordered a plaque from Ben to commemorate the tree we are planting as part of the Queens Green Canopy. Ben was so accommodating and patient with us whilst we decided on what to order - nothing was to much trouble.
The plaque arrived ahead of schedule and is really lovely, the craftsmanship is superb. I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of the slate and it is a really impressive item.
I would not hesitate to use Ben again a definite 5 star experience :-)
