Well I have had a awful time with Smartest Energy. On the 18/2/26 I was retiring from my business. I inform the company with all the information they needed for my termination. Still they couldn't sort it out. I spoke to various people at different time's. My story was the same theirs was different everytime I spoke to someone. Some were saying I hadn't canceled some said I had. Today 18/3/26 I spoke to a chap called Alan (although I waited 40 mins to get through). He was miraculous within 2 mins he had it all sorted then emailed my final invoice in the next minute. I'll tell you something SmartestEnergy you need more Alan's. FANTASTIC service from him. Only him. The rest was diabolical.

smartest energy bad customer service,
we always give meter readings, but in Early March 2026 when trying to get a reading from the meter it looked diffrent so we reported this to smartest energy we could not read the meter so our bill was estimated at
£1002.21 the estimate bill was far to high, cant understand why it was so high , when actual meter reads - Oct Inv £369.92, Nov £109.88, Dec £253.46, Jan £136.13
average over 4 months = £217.35
so why have we been charged £1002.21
waiting for smartest energy to get back to us about the meter and the estimate invoice.
can't afford the Estimate invoices so need someone to
look at the meter urgently so we can continue to give accurate meter readings, we would appreciate your
urgent response Smartest Energy.

Would not recommend this company they take money from your account when they feel like it ,sometimes more than once a month.
The first couple of months were great then they started billing wrongly and have been complaining since December but nothing had been done and zero communication when I phone I just get empty promises have had to complain to the energy ombudsman now
