I have a 13 year old Smeg Range Cooker.

I have a 13 year old Smeg Range.. I love it... had its odd fault over the years, but nothing that I couldn't fix, but this one had me stumped a bit. I asked Dan for a wiring diagram and I wasn't sure if he could help, however, within a few hours the diagram turned up in my inbox. Fault traced, oven fixed, we can all eat again and the Smeg lives to see another 13 years. Thanks Dan

Smeg Classic SFP6301TVX Built In…

Smeg Classic SFP6301TVX Built In Electric Single Oven with Pyrolytic Cleaning - is my 2nd expensive appliance that failed just outside of warranty ... almost as if they do in on purpose! In France manufacturing to fail after a set period is now unlawful. I cleaned the oven with the supposedly amazing pyrolytic cleaning and my engineer told me that using this blows up the motherboard he has seen it often! very expensive to repair! Its a write off sadly... do better SMEG. I’m so put of off by customer service when my kettle lid broke that I haven’t bothered wasting my time even contacting them about this it gives me a headache even thinking about it!

Truly awful experience - Avoid

Truly awful experience. My £700 coffee machine has been in for repair twice. The first time under warranty as it was under a year old. That time they were helpful. The second time was outside warranty and a totally different experience...you have to arrange your own courier to collect from them (I have never had to do this before with any repairs ever!). The machine arrived with parts missing and not put back together again properly. They have questioned the missing part (I cannot use the machine without it, I wouldn't make this up!) and blame the courier for the damage, even though the box is in perfect condition and clearly not a courier issue. Save your money and buy a better coffee machine for Gaggia

My coffee machine started to develop a fault (a leak from the water compartment). I contacted the service team and they were extremely helpful and efficient. I now have my coffee machine returned, fully working!

Excellent repair service

The process was easy throughout, with everything arranged by them. Retain was organised quickly, v retain packaging was delivered quickly and we first class. Repair was quick and efficient and return delivery was even faster than they suggested.
This is how warranty claims should be handled.

Dan was an excellent contract throughout. Cheerful, informative and responsive.

A polished service from start to finish with miminal inconvenience! xx

Contacted these guys to repair the two faulty doors on our otherwise perfectly lovely fridge. Ross, our local engineer, was due out on the Friday, and I was mid moan to my husband about having to wait in all day when Ross text me to say he would be with me at 8am in the morning. Top bloke identified the problem, ordered the parts and within 10 days was back to fit them. We would totally use them again. Time is precious and letting customers know when you are coming is not only extremely polite but highly professional. Thank you Ross the legend and smeg-service.co.uk ! xx

Brilliant customer service from the SMEG team

Brilliant customer service from the SMEG appliance repair team. Incredibly responsive, efficient, and understanding of personal nuances. Rarely do appliance or electrical manufacturers offer this high standard of service – a very satisfied customer.

Oven repair


The engineer Julian first came last week to inspect the oven as one of the oven door glass panels had smashed. He was surprised that the company had not supplied the replacement part (the oven is still under guarantee). However I telephoned Smeg on Monday this week and much to our pleasure he phoned and today and fixed the oven. We thank him again.

Stand mixer repair

Initial issues with the return label sorted the same day, speedy repair and organising return of stand mixer.
These appliances really are worth the money.

Way way way exceeded expectations

My expectations (based on the experience of other manufacturers) when I contacted SMEG about a fault with my new coffee machine were not high.

To say that they blew the doors off of that expectation is an understatement. What amazing customer service - fantastically responsive and proactive. Not only was the turnaround super fast but they also dealt with a complication caused by the courier simply and efficiently.

Other companies can learn from them.

Faulty B2C coffee machine

I bought a B2C coffee machine as a Christmas present, and the settings were all wrong when we tried to use it on Christmas day.
I contacted Smeg for a return, and he whole process was hassle free. I dealt with Dan, who arranged for a box to be sent to my address, and he also arranged for the machine to be collected. Once the repairs have been completed, Dan contacted me again o arrange a delivery back to me. So yes, 5 stars for great customer service. Now let's hope the coffee machine arrives safely, and duly repaired...
