A last-minute trip to the French Alps

A last-minute trip to the French Alps, necessitated a change of chains for my vehicle.
Having not skied for two years, due to the Pandemic, and a change of vehicle in the interim period, saw us nearly caught out without the correctly sized snow-chains for my new vehicle.
I checked the size required on the website, phoned the representative in Customer Services (James) and explained our predicament. Our previous snow-chains were unused, so an exchange was rapidly arranged. I placed the Order, returned my chains in their original box and packaging and, by return two days later, had my new snow-chains. During the exchange process, James, kept me informed of progress throughout by both email and telephone calls, so I knew exactly what was happening at every stage.
Outstanding service! Thank You!

Not great customer service.

Ordered a large order of Thule roof racks from Roofracks.co.uk (Also part of Snowchains.co.uk)

One of the brackets had bolt that was threaded and would not attach, we ordered these as needed for a weekend trip unfortunately on contacting Roofracks.co.uk John responded and (Credit to him he called me) however the solution was to send the part to them to check and then send this back out clearly this would not have been completed in time for the trip away. I was also required to pay for the return postage.

As it was I used a local firm to re thread this and was charged £15 no offer of refund or cost to cover this at all, will think twice before using again.

Ordered a car roof rack 6 weeks ago

Ordered a car roof rack 6 weeks ago, STILL not arrived!!!! Apparently the first one they sent out vanished, the second one turned up in Cornwall and we live in Wales and the third one has been in north Hampton for the last 5 days!!! AVOID this company like covid 19!!!!!!!

Appalling customer service

Whilst I appreciate the company may have been swamped with orders due to December's snow I feel that their inability to respond positively to my enquiries is totally unsatisfactory.
I purchased snow chains which were received on 14 Dec however they did not fit. I queried this via their website and they suggested a number of solutions all of which did not work. I even sent photos of my tyres as requested, but alas no response. I eventually sent the chains back at my own expense with a covering letter and copies of all the emails I had sent. The package arrived on 22 Dec, it was tracked, however to date the company have still not had the decency to acknowledge receipt or to provide a refund as requested.
Most companies have experienced various problems due to the snow and in my experience all of those I have dealt with, except snowchains.co.uk, have communicated swiftly to any enquiry or complaint I've had over the Christmas period.
At this point in time I have no reason whatsoever to recommed this company to anyone.

Very Bad Communication

This company does not keep you informed of your order status.

I ordered on a Sunday, when products were in stock, by Monday evening their front page said no stock.

They do not answer their phones or reply to ANY emails.

What type of company operates like this?
