Was impressed with Graham's knowledge when he visited and the team that installed the system were great. Really pleased with the whole service and the app that I was set up on during the onboarding process has been useful.

Came in over the weekend to visit the showroom and the staff were on hand to answer all of my questions regarding Solar and Battery that i am looking to install at my property. I would highly recommend anyone looking into solar and battery storage to visit their showroom in Brentwood

From the first contact and all the way through the process everyone involved is very good. No high pressure just honest and sensible reaction. Communication exemplary. Not the cheapest in the market but one of if not the best independent company. Savings after installation are in line with estimate given. Clean professional installation.

Lack of response from them. Took numerous visits to get the system working with consistent faults.

Solar panels have been installed flat causing water to stagnate and build up algae and need cleaning each month not every year as was advised on installation . I am now having to contact Barclaycard to start a charge back claim as they cannot give a date for a visit.. They knew I had the installation in the north east and I was advised that they had a team up here.. Nope .. he has to come from London and it’s more than a day return trip but won’t pay out for the engineer to stay over to ensure that the system is working correctly.

Salesman visited our home to hard sale solar panels - which required a survey which we had to pay for - no other company charges a fee for the survey - The next day we had to cancel the order as we couldn't go ahead. I requested the return of the deposit and it was promised within the 28 days as in T&C. No sign of the deposit. Several emails ignored. Called them and the person who answered the phone denied all knowledge. Wow. Not a professional company at all. Beware when you part with your money. I have had to contact the card issuer to raise a dispute. Fingers crossed as I feel they have no intention of returning this fee.

Do not use this company. Dubious sales tactics and fail to honour refunds agreed in full. A salesman from this company got my elderly vulnerable uncle to hand over £4000 in advance by card over the phone to do some home repairs. Feeling this was overpriced, my uncle cancelled the order over the phone and by letter. No work was ever started. Despite an agreement to cancel, 6 months on the company still owe my Uncle £1800 and have failed to adhere to numerous payment plans agreed. The company are now not responding to emails. Sad to read others’ experiences on Trust Pilot. I will be writing to BBC’s Watchdog and Trading Standards.

Excellent service from start to finish.
I contacted various companies regarding the install of a battery storage system with the main consideration being that it didn’t affect my FIT feed in.
I had a good idea of the system I was looking for and when Mark attended, he confirmed the Givenergy AIO 13.5kW would be suitable with full home EPS backup. Full survey was conducted with a couple of suggestions for suitable locations.
Amy and Mark kept me fully informed and fitted in with my timescale.
The unit unit was installed by father and son team who listened to my suggestions regarding location and agreed to it, Installation was very neat, but they struggled to get the unit to communicate, despite returning the following day the issue persisted the manufacturer agreed that the unit had an issue. Amy and Mark arranged for Givenergy to attend and their engineer confirmed a defective component was causing the issue and promptly replaced the entire external battery unit.
The installers then remotely commissioned it and it’s been working brilliantly ever since.
Thank you so much to the entire team at Solar Armour and Givenergy for sterling service throughout with final payment not requested until I was happy with the job.

Mark at Solar Armour responded quickly and with good information when I first contacted him, answering all of my many questions and giving practical advice. The installation team were great - they were friendly, tidy and efficient.

We were unsure about whether to retro-fit battery storage. The Solar Armour team took the time to answer our queries before we committed to the battery.

After we decided to proceed, they immediately scheduled a technical survey and soon after, the installer fitted the system in less than a day.

From searches, I had found a few battery storage companies that had very good reviews for their installation and post-installation service. However, there were question marks about the level of after-care from the actual manufacturers of their products.

Solar Armour fitted a 5.2 kW battery made by GivEnergy. I had found good reviews of the product and the manufacturer's aftercare.

Since installing Solar in 2013, we suffered from serious issues - such as the system not working for 2 years. It had been very painful to get the system up and running again.

After that experience, we were determined to go with a company which is HIES-registered - like Solar Armour. The HIES registration is effectively a third-party warranty, which gives us added peace of mind.

I would strongly recommend Solar Armour. Their service as installer has been professional. They have always responded to emails, phone calls etc. promptly. Further, they provide an excellent product. The GivEnergy battery has a fantastic app. You can easily see when the battery is charging. It's rewarding to see the mix of energy from solar/battery/the grid etc.

And Solar Armour's prices are extremely competitive!

Starting with a relaxed and no pressure visit from Solar’s rep Graham, we felt comfortable enough to go ahead with an installation and have had no regrets.
The panels were erected in less than a day by a team of VERY tidy and conscientious professionals who explained and cleaned up everything as they went along. Commissioning was carried out same day and the system has been working faultlessly since! Backed up by Lewis and Amy in the office for help with hooking up to the grid etc I have no reservations in recommending SolarArmour! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The initial visit was good and the surveyor was polite and informative as were the office staff.
The installation was done on the date agreed, by a pleasant and professional pair of workmen and completed within a day. Unfortunately the sub contracted scaffolders took 18 days to remove the scaffolding and damaged the back gate as they came when they were not expected.
Solar Armour have quickly compensated for this and have now stopped using this firm.
While highly recommending Solar Armour I would advise that the final invoice is not paid until all work is complete

I would be VERY careful proceeding with SolarArmour.

They have very pushy methods for selling, will promise you something the day of the first visit (for me it was 15 south facing panels) that they won't be able to provide (in the end, because of my roof space, proposing me 12 south facing panels + 2 east facing panels - that can be acceptable, but they promised that the generation will be almost the same! - which is obviously impossible).

They then undermined me when I decided to cancel the service as this solution was not right for me.
I formally emailed them on 09/02/24 to cancel, got no news until chasing them on the 14/02/24, they decided that the cancelation would start from the day they've answered (14th instead of 9th), gaining some time to refund the deposit.

And joys of all, they emailed me back on 13/03/24 to tell me (not ask me) that they will not repay in full but with weekly instalments over the next 15 weeks!

I am shocked about the lack of professionalism of this company and the installer I've met.

I would definitely NOT recommend!

After trying to bribe me to remove my review, they still owe me £750+ and haven’t paid anything since end of May 2024. We are in July 2024 and they haven’t respected their own imposed schedule.

I was impressed with the level of service from the start. The rep explained the pro's and con's of solar power. He was able to advise what kind of estimated energy saving I would have. They were also able to name the installed equipment so I could look it up on line to read reviews. All services offered included panels, battery, inverter, after care and installation costs.
I was able to visit the showroom and inspect the equipment too.
All the staff involved were polite and enthusiastic about their work.
The installation took a day and was surprisingly swift - so much so I am waiting for my energy supplier to catch up.
I can see how much solar energy I am gathering, storing and sending back to the grid through the app that can be linked to the equipment.
I can say that while not the cheapest option, the service is second to none and reliable. The equipment installed is top grade. I would strongly recommend this company if you are considering the installation of solar energy solutions.
