Really awesome except the video learning experience...it's not optimized, can't make it full screen, couldn't pause, it didn't keep track of where I was so I had to restart from the beginning several... See more

Great information, but I'm paying to record the foods for my infant and it carried over all the foods from my firstborn and I don't know how to reset it.

Not worth $199.00 I’m sorry. I’m not getting a ton of info about baby-led weaning. The whole experience of adding foods hasn’t been intuitive. Every time it says something like “… Keep going you have 2 More foods to try…” I tap it, select foods, and then it doesn’t register the food. Anyway, I’m keeping it solely to keep track of what our baby has tried. No meal planning or shopping lists.

So many glitches mostly with the stats and different categories. For example, the allergen tab shows I tried 2, but in reality I have tried 7. It is the same with the foods tried tab, I have tried 41, but it only displays 3 things. Very dissapointing condiering you have to pay for this app.

The recording of allergens for my food allergy baby made the transition onto solids so much easier and was an absolute relief when I could write her reactions to foods too. Made starting solids feel like a breeze.

So glad that I paid for the app. Totally worth the money. There’s some amazing guidance that helped our BLW journey. I’ve used the app daily for meal recommendations and tracking for the last 6 months. Videos definitely help in making foods safer for my baby.

This app is extremely thorough and authoritative. It’s given me a lot of guidance.

The app is fantastic! Highly recommend. I recommend it to everyone. I love the food database, the meal prep ideas, the serving size suggestions, and the ability to track tried foods, allergens, etc.

very informative, helps with the anxiety of starting solids through baby-led weaning.

Solid Starts is great for any first time mums! It is full of useful information and very user friendly!

I love all of the ideas in the app and how it walks you through how to cut up babies foods for BLW. I find the app itself difficult to navigate. I often am told that I need to view information in the paid app even though I pay for the app. Highly recommend the app but not the subscription for it.

Love this app!! I reference it all of the time when preparing food for our little one and love the access to additional resources!

I like the app but I do think the cost is a bit ridiculous. I also don't like how many of the articles I read have written in them to download the app. There shouldn't be references to download the app or pay for the app when I've already done so.

I have many problems getting things to log properly and the allergen badges to show up on my account. I can’t find my answer in the FAQs and can’t find an email or anything to contact customer service to get help. For this expensive of an app, I’d hope it would work better and have a better customer service option.

I’ve followed solid starts for the past 5 years and was very excited to use the updated app with my second son. This time around there is the option for a paid subscription for full use, the list of features is extensive and great at helping me start solids with my little one from the existing meals i’m making for my family.

Solid starts helps take the extra stress out of starting solids. I love that I am able to enter a food in the search bar and it’s tells me from which age it’s safe and how to serve it to my baby. Also love the recipes for different meal ideas. I recommend solid starts to all my mom friends who ask🙂

Really helps to understand what’s appropriate at different ages and how to serve different foods safely

Love how easy it is to figure out how to serve foods. I absolutely hate the UX. Nothing seems to make sense. You can’t get back to pages you were previously on. The tracker is confusing. Not user friendly. I regret paying for it.

Appreciate: Huge library of simple meal ideas; the amount of baby feeding specific info, guidance and reassurance included; guidance for introducing allergens and other aspects of solids; meal and food type planning, tracking and logging.
Navigation between features (and finding them) in the app is not fully developed so a little frustrating and confusing. It would also be great if they add a feature to be able to create and add your own meals (just available in your account, not globally).
App is exxy but 50% off 12 month subscription in boxing day sale is decent value.
This app is really helping me feel more confident and capable in learning to make food for and feed my LO 😊❤️

The app has everything you need to know about starting solids with your baby plus extra content like recipes and helpful tips! I think it is definitely worth the subscription price.
