Great Team of professional friendly polite installers
The team of professionals who installed our batteries were friendly polite efficient and did a great job… the communication with them was great and they could not be more helpful! They listened to our requirements, and were more than happy to make the set up work for us, minimising unsightly trunking for the extra cables. They explained everything very clearly and left our house tidy without causing any hassle. The dogs approved too! Highly recommend!

Excellent service and professional
The engineer Cameron came on time on the day of the installation and was very professional and responsive with all our doubts. He worked a lot during the first day but because the job was long, he came a couple of days after to finish everything. We're really happy with the service and also with the solar panels fitters. They left everything super tidy and clean.
The company already gave us all the paperwork as well, and they were very responsive to our doubts.

The electrian was great
The electrian was great, turned up early, was polite and professional, did a great tidy job and communicated well what they were doing and how the system works. Only room for improvement would be better communication from the office letting me know which day he was arriving.

Excellent throughout
Installation was sourced from Essex County Council ‘Solar Together’ programme, so they picked the installer. The choice was well made as the process from initial quote, through survey and on to installation was professional, smooth and easy. The company were very good at keeping me up to date, and the installers were both friendly, efficient, hard-working and polite. I would definitely recommend this company for solar installation work!

Absolutely first-class service from the team at South East Solar & Electrical. From the initial quote right through to installation, everything was handled professionally and transparently, with no hidden surprises.
A special mention to Jade who handled my quote and all comms, also to Jack, Cam and Ezra, who carried out the work, they were professional, tidy, and clearly knew their stuff. They turned up on time, worked efficiently throughout the day, explained everything clearly, and left the place spotless. Nothing was too much trouble, and they took the time to walk me through the system and app before they left.

Installation good, issue support poor.
Survey good.
Installation good.
FoxCloud app is really poor at times.
I've had frequent issues and lack of data for several days on end.
Initially, SESE support was fine, if a little slow resolving problems.
More recently, it seemed WiFi connection was the issue. Four months post installation, I was quoted £150+vat for an engineer to visit as "we don't support app issues".
It's the app that SESE use and sold me!
I was encouraged to contact Fox direct. I didn't, not my responsibility to sort SESE's technical failings. After a few days, the app required me to accept terms and conditions, again, which I guess means they have fixed glitches. The system was then back up and running.
I've wasted a fair amount of time addressing issues, there's no proactive Comms from SESE when they arise.
In summary, I regret getting solar installation from SESE.
I've lost faith in their organisation.

We understand how frustrating intermittent app connectivity issues can be, particularly when they impact your ability to monitor your system. While the FoxCloud app is developed and maintained by the manufacturer, we appreciate that as your installer you naturally turned to us for support. Our team always aims to assist wherever possible, even when issues originate with third-party software.
From our investigations at the time, it appeared that the issue could have been related to the Wi-Fi connection rather than the solar equipment itself. Unfortunately, the performance and reliability of a customer's home Wi-Fi network is outside of our control, and if an engineer visit is requested to investigate a fault that is found to be unrelated to the installation or equipment, this falls outside the scope of our warranty support. This is why a chargeable visit was discussed. That said, we appreciate this may not have been communicated as clearly as it could have been, and we're sorry if this left you feeling unsupported.
We also appreciate your comments regarding proactive communication. Where widespread issues with third-party platforms are identified, we always aim to keep customers informed where possible, and we'll take your feedback on board as we continue to improve our aftercare service.
We're disappointed to hear that you've lost confidence in us, as this is never the experience we want for our customers. If there are any ongoing concerns with your system or if there's anything further we can do to help, we'd welcome the opportunity to discuss them with you directly and work towards restoring your confidence.

Excellent Customer Service
My solar panels were installed a few months ago. I was very happy with the communication and smooth install. On the first very hot and sunny day it tripped a fuse two days in a row which I reported. One of their Engineers contacted me on the same day and it was soon fixed. I’ve asked a few questions about the app since then and have received rapid reply’s every time. The solar panels have been performing very well too.

Great Service from start to finish.
From start to finish everyone at SESE was professional. Initial enquiries were addressed quickly and an initial desk top survey carried out with the results sent to me. This enabled us to hold a dialogue with SESE to ensure that they understood exactly what we wanted.
Once this was established, the planning took place and they came to check the site at firsthand. All the potential difficulties installation were recorded so that we no surprises when the installation team arrived.
The installation team who installed the panels treated the property with great respect and were keen to do the work and explain what they were doing at the same time.
The electrician was first rate, he completed the installation very carefully. All the time he endeavoured to ensure that not only was everything done safely, but also that both the inverter and the battery were situated exactly where we wanted. Upon completing the insulation he took time to explain everything and ensured that the site was left clean and tidy.
A week later, this site was visited by an external engineer to check that everything had been done correctly.
And every stage communications were straightforward and staff were always available any questions as their roles.
This is the second time we've had solar panels, the first installation was over 15 years ago so we didn't know what to expect and were very pleased with the whole process with SES from start to finish.
Highly recommended at every stage. Thank you, SESE.

Really helpful from beginning to end
Really helpful from beginning to end. Billie was very patient in explaining things and arranging late changes;
the installers were very quick and efficient, and replaced some broken roof tiles which had not been visible;
Brad the electrician went to great trouble to find the best layout, despite having to work in some places difficult to access.
Everything was finished much faster than I had expected and with minimum disruption.

Great Company to deal with
From the moment we decided to have a battery added to our solar panels system to the time of installation it went very smoothly and quickly. They were also very helpful throughout the process. SESE experience
We got a really good service and the office staff and the installation team were friendly and quickly responsive. There was a delay on the installation of the outdoor cabinet and the Solar iBoost but we had no issue with that.

A first class solar panel installer.
From original contact with Amber all has been really excellent.
South East Solar and Electrical did exactly what we wanted installing 15 panels plus battery and inverter. Everything works perfectly and we have now received the handover package so we can contact our supplier to claim for exporting excess energy. I would certainly recommend this excellent company.

complete installation in a day (after scaffolding)
Roof party turned up and were polite and explained process. Worked diligently and then handed over to electrical people.
they were polite and friendly and explained what was what and what they were doing.
When the system was installed they showed how to monitor it with app on smartphone and also told me there was a desktop app for it too.
After an initial problem with a circuit breaker tripping put this was rectified at 19:45 on a Friday evening and has worked well ever since.
Scaffolders damaged a precious rose when installing scaffolding but those removing it acquiesced to my request and took pictures of the roof installation before dismantling the scaffolding.
On the whole a positive experience and a company I would recommend.
