Shop does not conform to German law (2 years Gewährleistung).
The filament sensor of my sovol sv01 pro was defect shortly after 1 year.
The shop refuses to exchange the part or any other warranty option since the 1-year warranty of the shop was already over.
However, there's a two year legal warranty in Germany by law (Gewährleistung - not sure about the actual English translation of this word).
The sovol support simply rejects anything.

Might be the best in its price range
Might be the best in its price range
If you have the right expectations you wont be disappointed. You will have to tinker a bit but it will print pretty well out of the box. You might have some problems but the support will help you and send the replacements but they will be slow. For what they cost they are pretty good tho, I don't think you could expect much more. amazing printer and amazing support!
amazing printer and amazing support!
bought the Sv06 of Amazon and worked flawlessly! even after some major user error on my side (accidentally rammed the extruder into my bed) the very helpful sovol support was there to help! been asking for parts or advices on the printer for roughly a year now, always delivered and very helpful too!
Poor customer service and product.
P*ss poor customer service and products.
Bought 2 of their printers and had constant issues with both printers and no customer support from Sovol.
They insist on being contacted through Facebook as a main means of communication then ignore messages.
£500 wasted on their crappy products I can't even use.
Should of gone with an Ender printer since Creality actually give a crap about their customers.

Very poor support
Ordered a brand new printer from Amazon that does not work. I have now been trying to contact Sovol for support for almost a week with no response. Extremely poor customer service despite the reviews.

Terrible customer support
Terrible customer support, I have 2 SV04 printers, stepper motor died on one of the extruders (machine only 3 months old) they won't send a replacement motor under warranty, they recon its due to blockage, which its not, had to buy full extruder kit from Jake 3d to repair it myself, as there's no spare parts available on their website for the SV04. I even offered to send the broken motor back to them so they could test it...no reply.

I bought a Sv07 and I am surprised!
I bought a Sv07 and I am surprised with the quality. This machine is top knotch and super fast.
Haven't had any issues so far.
Competent and helpful customer service
I purchased a set of heat breaks for my SV05 and the size of the product I received was incorrect. After explaining the problem to Jan at customer service, Claudia confirmed the tracking number and a few weeks later I received the correct heat breaks. Overall a positive experience.
Worst purchase decision ever
Context: I wanted to buy my first 3D printer. So I browsed around different places on the internet. The Sovol recommendation kept popping up by different reviewers. So I took the chance, and joined the Sovol SV06+ wave aka the “Prusa killer” product. So I preordered it.
I have been salty ever since. Let me tell you my story.
The printer finally came to my possession after several months of waiting. I was excited because I had found several free STL files I wanted to print for my friends, so I had different kind and colors of filament ready. But I never got that far.
I assembled my printer and followed the included pamphlet guide on how to do the gantry calibration, set the Z offset and do the auto bed leveling. Once I completed those steps loaded it with the white PLA filament that comes included. Then I inserted the SD card, which also comes included, and made it print the benchy stored on it. The power supply fan is super loud. It’s always on 100% even if my printer is idle. I suspect that it’s because the power supply is of low quality.
Anyway the benchy was ugly, and had tons of scarring. It did not look like what is shown on YouTube. I could not understand why at first. Remember, it was my first 3D printer and I was a complete beginner.
I asked on Reddit and there were a few suggestions such as I should re-slice benchy and try again. So I did. It went better but I could still hear like my nozzle was scratching the print while moving. To keep it short. I experimented with all the different slicer settings, and slowly improved. But then the fan that blows air to the print broke. So I decided I might as well upgrade to a 5015 since the standard cooling is rather abysmal.
After printing several different calibration parts I noticed my printer is VERY inconsistent. So I decided to take a look at the hardware. I saw suggestion such as checking on how warped the bed is. I installed Klipper and ran the bed mesh, and oh my… my printer bed was worse than the Grand Canyon.
So I decided to follow some suggestions on installing silicone feet under my bed so I can adjust every corner to make it as even as possible. It made it slightly better, but I still had a huge bulge in the middle which I have never been able to fix. It is actually physically visible.
After some more calibration prints my thermistor suddenly gave up. So I ordered a new extruder from Sovol. It took more than 1 month to arrive because Sovol chose the cheapest shipping possible!!!
It came.. finally.. I had to calibrate the e-steps, and started to do some calibration prints again. I still had the nozzle scraping issue, but had gotten used to it.
I decided, even though the calibration prints were not good looking, I wanted to do the prints I actually bought the printer for. Since I had gone through a lot of filament for these prints, and no sign of improvements could be seen.
As I am printing a big undisclosed print, I can suddenly hear that the extruder is doing a lot of click sounds. At first I believe I had a clog, but as I progressed into the issue I found out it’s more sinister than that. After disassembling the entire extruder I saw that the planetary gears were warped!!!! Like what!? It’s a brand new printer. How is this possible?
So I decided to exchanged the planetary gears from my previous extruder with the thermistor issues into this one. That solved the problem. I was able to finish a few prints over the duration of a few weeks until one of my stepper motors suddenly gave up. And this is where I finally gave up.
Even when I was able to print, the quality of the prints were never good. There was always some kind of artifacts on them.
I think that I spent more than 200 hours debugging this printer. Several weekends wasted. I went from being a complete beginner to an expert in 3D printing thanks to this printer.
Conclusion:
- The components Sovol uses in their printers are very low quality
- They give free stuff to their reviewers which makes the reviewers do disingenuous reviews
- Their support does not exist. They answer you once every 3-5 days
- They don’t have any quality control. It’s a hit or miss with what you get
- Nothing special about them. They are yet another Chinese printer clone company
If you wonder why these printers only cost 1/4 of what a Prusa costs here is why:
They don’t pay a QC team. They don’t pay a support team. They handpick the lowest quality components.
Also.. the other feedbacks here are not lying. Their return policy is a scam. You better off buying their product from Amazon.

Worst customer support i've ever had to…
Worst customer support i've ever had to deal with.. Even Creality is better and that's saying ALOT about how horrible Sovol is. Long email response times without even reading the emails and they just try to wear you out until you eventually give up.. sv06 plus came with MASSIVE defects from factory and they're just avoiding the issue. They scrub their reddit community from comments about their support as well..
Gamble with their printers, good value if you don't get a lemon. Got a lemon? You're not going to get any real help in resolving the issue.

Wonderful service
I had my printer for a couple months and had had several really good prints, but one print failed, in a big way, and left a blob of filament that ripped off the thermistor wiring. After some initial communication in which I supplied Sean with some photographs, Support was very understanding and sent me an entire new extruder and hotend! Amazing customer service.
Excellent customer support.
After reporting an issue with my printer, Jan from CS arranged a replacement part and had it shipped to me.
9 days total shipping time is pretty good in my eyes.

Absolutely amazing customer service
Absolutely amazing customer service. Very quick to respond. Always knowledgeable. Super helpful. I own printers by several companies and I wish their customer service was half as good as Sovols.
I bought a SV06 and regret it now.

Ok product but needs fixes for the bed cable that has no strength relief and the steppers are all overheating during prints because the vRef settings are wrong.
Sovol support usually does not answer requests at all, and if they do, it is days or week after you send the request, and the answer is always 'Did the issue fix itself? if not send us pictures.'
Then nothing happens after you sent the pictures. You have to fix the issues yourself.
Inexistant support, I should have gotten a Creality instead.

Deceptive Listing Practices. And don't count on support.
I ordered a Sovol SO-2 straight from the sovol3d website in December with the "10w compressed spot" laser module. In the two months that I have had it, I have experimented with a number of different materials, and every possible combination of speed/power/passes settings, and have gotten nowhere near the performance they claim this module is capable of at any point. More to the point, the performance I have gotten from the laser has been inconsistent at best. Their claim on the site of 100% power at F250 cutting through 3mm wood plate is a blatant lie, as it takes more than 5 passes with these settings to even see any cut-through at all on the backside of the plate, and still more passes after that to cut an entire shape out. When engraving, I have to use about 25% of the recommended speeds to get any kind of results at all on most materials. And on top of all of that, the specified focal distancce listed on their site isn't even accurate, as I am able to get much sharper details when I focus 2mm closer than specified.
Thinking that maybe I received the wrong module (since it isn't even labeled with specs), or perhaps a faulty one (since the focal point is obviously not correct), I reached out to their support email for assistance, hoping that they might be able to shed some light on why my laser is under-performing so badly, but I have yet to receive a response of any kind. I'm shopping around for another module elsewhere at this point, obviously you get what you pay for with this company. I recommend avoiding their products if you want quality control or customer service of any kind.

Great Customer Service
I ordered an SV03 printer during one of Sovol's sales from their website, as it was significantly cheaper than Amazon. It arrived a few days later, and after I assembled it I was pleased with the results. Unfortunately, it did seem to randomly drop power during printing on occasion, which caused some frustration. I reached out to Sovol's customer support and they ran me through diagnosing the issue. It was decided that it was likely a faulty power supply, and they shipped me out a new one free of charge. I replaced the old power supply with the new one and it solved the sporadic power drops.
The prints have come out very well since then, and I've had only positive experiences with Sovol's customer support. I expect to buy from them again from them in the future.
I was not offered any incentive or payment to post this review.
Nice 3D printer and support
Buy a Sovol SV03 received by error a SV01 than I send back and after give them the tracking they send me the same day the SV03. Reimburse me the shipping fee in filaments.
Sovol support team is really nice. Their team respond quickly.
About the SV03 it's a really nice 3D printer. 0 issue since received all work fine and smoothly. Can may be just improve fan noise else all is perfect nothing to say. If you search a really BIaG 3d printer for increase print size it's the printer than you need !
Just don't buy anything from them
Just don't buy anything from them, they messed up two of my deliveries, take the money and after that, you cannot contact them and want a refund of the item you originally wanted. Complete scamming ...
