Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. 2 hours over 2 calls to the philipines. Cannot resolve a simple issue changing a plan. Also keep charging me incorrectly overseas. Have had so many issues now. So bad. Been with them for years and cancelling today.
Worst broadband provider in NZ
Worst broadband provider in NZ. If you have issues you on your own. A kiwi company that has outsourced it's customer service to the Philippines you can't do Jack. Horrible Horrible company.
zero notice price increases
Spark changed the price without notice from $45 to $50 for my pay monthly plan.
Not to mention it was still under I contract I signed up for for 24 months, breaking the contract.
Illegal shoddy business practices, should be investigated.
Ruined Credit
They turned off my direct debit without notice and then ruined my credit file for non payments.
Mobile plans ridiculously over priced…
Mobile plans ridiculously over priced compared to other providers. They also increase contracts pricing without choice despite being a long standing customer, would not recommend
I’ve had such a terrible customer…
I’ve had such a terrible customer experience that I’ve been waiting for my refund for the past week. I’ve called them every day, and they keep saying that they’re processing the refund on the way. Today, they realised that they had already processed it, but they’re still telling me to wait another five days. Every customer service person I’ve spoken to has been lying to me.
Do not use Spark for wireless…
Do not use Spark for wireless broadband!!! It is terrible. Had no end of problems. Customer service and expert engineers are in the Philippines. Same old retoric given with same old solutions. Move router, change password to prevent others using it and reduce the number of users. She checked our internet whilst on the call and we were told that we were off line? According to our devices, we weren't. We have intermittent internet during the day and no internet after 7pm. Useless!!!!
One of the worst service providers out
One of the worst service providers out. Overcharged constantly, no explanation or communication regarding my bill enquiry. 0 stars if I could.

For a NZ telco it's the worst
For a NZ telco it's the worst - mobile is a rip - I've left them and will never go back, I'll share my experiences with all of my connections. And to add salt to the wound when I moved carriers they stole my remaining credit. Money hungry beep beep. Do not select this company - not customer centric

I have purchased several top products from spark, s24, s25, and flip6. I have had an awesome experience with spark. They are quick to serve at thier sales locations and thier products are top of the line and thier plans are competitive.

Spark is one of New Zealands largest Communications giants, interesting isn't it!!! On their websites I couldn't leave a review. I had an account with Spark for a very short duration, the mobile data was always cutting out and I did make complaints. Customer service was appalling, no help at all, I editable I cancelled my account with Spark at which points cancelled my account with Spark however, my troubles did not stop there, I was working 70 hour weeks, I was now with Skinny mobile which worked better surprisingly, Spark didn't cancel my account instead charging me $338 for a service they know damn well I never used. Now I am being chased by Indebted for a bill I will never pay, for a service never used. Spark representatives and I shared a phone call and they made me feel very guilty, although I had done everything correct.

They charge you $63 just to end your contract. Even when you've paid for your month, they whack on an additional "end of service" fee. What an absolute rip off. Stay away at all costs. Kogan far cheaper and better.
Not Ideal for Travelers
I spent 5 weeks traveling across New Zealand and used Spark as my mobile provider during that time. While the service was generally reliable in urban areas and major towns, I was quite disappointed with the lack of coverage on several State Highways — particularly when driving through more remote or rural areas. For a country that relies heavily on road travel, consistent mobile reception on main routes is essential, and unfortunately, Spark didn’t always deliver.
Additionally, shortly before I left the country, my remaining data was unexpectedly reduced by 3GB. I didn’t receive any clear explanation, which was frustrating — especially as I had carefully managed my usage throughout the trip.
Overall, while Spark may work well for short stays in cities, travelers relying on navigation, communication, or mobile data on the road might want to consider other providers with better nationwide coverage and more transparent data policies.
Poor Service
this business is going to cause a lot of stress on their own business and to other people as well. it needs to be raised within your Project management
Terrible service from Spark…
Terrible service from Spark in Phillipines -my 93yo father landline not working for 4 days. Was told conflicting information and did not instil confidence they knew what they were doing. Did not call back when they said they would or called back hours after they said they would. I took time off work to be there at my dad's when they said they would call but they didn't. I got the feeling they really didn't know what they were doing. In the end the maintenance man at dads retirement village fixed the problem (it was a cable) in 5 mins. SPARK this isn't good enough. I dealt with SPARK call centre over 3 days and lost the will to live in the end.
