This is a fantastic ground, the team are always very helpful.

We went to shooting Targets as a experience gift. John Cummings and Jane made the time we had so enjoyable, we were relaxed and hitting the clays and felt like we were getting better in a short time with their advice and guidance, we left wanting to take it up as a hobby! Thank you for sparking our interest, we look forward to visiting again.

Great experience, the tuition from John was perfect. Ran through everything and taught us all how to shoot - Really enjoyable experience and 100% recommend.

I arranged a clay pigeon shoot for my stag do and it was absolutely fantastic. The whole team at Sporting Targets were so helpful, from organising the event down to the instructor Rob who was extremely helpful and a wealth of knowledge.

I booked for my wife son and I to have a taster experience which included clay shooting, air rifles and archery. Our instructor Vince Elder was fantastic, very informative, friendly and patient. We all thoroughly enjoyed the day and were surprised at the variety available. The facilities are great, free tea and coffee is always a bonus. I would highly recommend sporting targets to anyone especially if you are looking to trial or get in to the sport.

Went onto the ground with Tom as was struggling with a couple of stands and within 5 minutes the clays were dust!!
Tom saw straight away where I was going wrong, his advice and direction was brilliant 🤩 . Really friendly and knowledgeable fella. 💯 recommend Tom and sporting targets for your next shooting experience

Brilliant day, really enjoyed the whole experience. Well organised, great set up, Vince the instructor was friendly, highly knowledgeable and ensured I had a great time no matter how many times I did or didn’t hit the clay pigeon!

What a fantastic day we had at Sporting Targets. The instructor Vinnie Elder made the event so special for me, my wife and two children (Daisy 20, Jay 17). Vinnie made us calm and relaxed and taught us to be confident...and also had a great personality and banter. We all picked up clay shooting really quickly with Vinnie's tips and we all managed to hit most of the clays on all of the courses we went on. Can't recommend having a clay shooting session enough, we loved it. Thank you Vinnie for making our day special, we will be back soon.

Visited today to be fitted and kitted out for my first shotgun. Paul and Tom in the gun shop were fantastic. I'm left handed with a right dominant eye so needed help and advice on choosing what options would work best for me. Not only did they have all the time I could possibly need but they adjusted and let me try various guns, came out to see how I got on with them and advised on what other equipment may be needed with no pressure to buy whatsoever. As a novice I was nervous about choosing my first gun but Paul and Tom made the whole process both positive and enjoyable and I'm even more keen to get back ASAP to continue my new hobby. Thank you both for your help!

Used our Virgin experience voucher today as a family of 4.
Myself and x2 teenage boys have done archery and rifle shooting before, but not clay shooting.
Husband has done all 3.
Vince was very patient and helped contribute to an overall fun experience.
I enjoyed the rifle shooting (didn’t when I did it before).
All in all a great bit of family time out in the fresh air under Vince’s guidance.
Pleased we found this gem and hoping to come back again soon.

I was very nervous when we arrived as I had never handled a gun before. Vince our guide very soon put me at ease. Our group of four had a fantastic time. The air rifle shooting, archery and clay pigeon shooting were amazing. Vince was so helpful to us, very patient showing us what to do. I was very impressed with how safety conscious he was. After our experience we had dinner next to a little pond. The food area was very clean and the meal was delicious, £30 for 3 people including drinks. We were offered a complimentary tea or coffee. The area we waited in was also spotless and the staff were very friendly. I definitely recommend Sporting Targets for a fun, amazing day out

New to shooting, clays and archery… Vince was an amazing and patient tutor, the facilities are great and we had so much fun! We’re already planning our return visit. Highly recommend. Thank you Sporting Target!

I went as part of a group ranging in age from 16 to 60 and everyone had a great time. We did cross-bow, air-gun and clay shooting. John, our instructor, quickly got to know us and carefully explained each activity and technique to a group of mainly first-timers. He greatly added to the enjoyment. Each activity is a little bit competitive, with scoring and that added to the fun. A great multi-generational activity that I'd 100% recommend to do here.

Staff were attentive, well organised and efficient.
Targets were well presented and achievablle.
Referees well organised and very helpfull.
The meal afterwards was excellent.

Went to buy a shotgun for my son , Tom was super helpful fantastic knowledge and helped get the correct gun for him friendly feel that made you feel welcome. Would highly recommend them for your next firearms purchase, thanks

I have been clay shooting here for several years now on a weekly basis. I can honestly say that the hospitality, catering and presentation of the shooting ground is always of an excellent standard.
