Spring Chicken ‘Joyrider’

We chose Spring Chicken ‘Joyrider’ folding powered chair for my Mum as I could manage putting it in my car. She loves it as it is so comfy & responsive.
However, I have had some highly frustrating experiences with it:- I have to disassemble it to put in car as too heavy for me in one piece. I have been in situations where I just couldn’t assemble it!! I almost abandoned one of our trips to return home after 20 mins of trying! Another experience was that for no reason it just would not work even though fully charged. I was so exasperated I rang Spring Chicken to tell them. The result was marvellous - Chris came out to see me he showed me a quick & easier way to assemble (he knew so well as his sister has same chair) & also explained that sometimes the signals become confused & prevent it working so taking out the battery disconnecting the cables & then putting them all back resets it & it’s fine. (This happened again yesterday). I have to say that the visit from Chris was an absolute blessing as I was all ready to get rid of the chair but thanks to him Mum & I now have happy days out with it.

Great company

We have a fab Joyrider electric wheelchair and we are about to purchase another wheelchair suitable for longer distances. The company is always proactive when we need help, and the demonstrations in our home were both excellent. Good company, good people, good products.

Lightweight electric wheelchair

Requested a home demo of an electric wheelchair. Organised to come within a few days. Good explanation of chair, got to take it out for a test drive. Tested it to make sure it would fit into my car boot.
Originally I wanted to trial a more expensive chair, was advised that a cheaper chair would be better for my needs.

No hard sell at all. Left with info. Demo man doesn't work on commission, and didn't stay long.
Was so impressed with the chairs performance, I bought one the following day.
So far it's doing well, especially on rough terrain.
