Absolutely brilliant app! I've been using it since December & only wish I'd known about it sooner. I use it for everyday purchases where you literally get free money towards paying off your mortgage.... See more

Great app.
Like the auto save function - helps save a lot on interest by adding just a little each month.
And the cash back although is relatively small amounts it's basically free money towards your mortgage.

Great idea. I'm using it regularly.
An update I'd like to see is that I'm quite visual as a person. If like to see opening the app. The amount I've paid to my mortgage through it, along with interest saving and time off the mortgage.

A good idea in principle yet my direct debt failed 3 months in a row and was initially blamed on a system fault.
Then on the 3rd occasion they said it was because I didn't have a buffer of £30 in my bank to prevent any overdraft charges. My direct debit was £8 and I had set up an account purely to collect the direct debit but the "algorithm" won't claim if it think the DD will get cancelled or go into an overdraft. I don't need this app to tell me how to manage my money.
I thought this was a good idea because of the convenience but no. Too much hassle and easier to claim cash back through apps like Everup which are higher rates of savings too.

I’ve been using Sprive since the early days, and recommends it to many.
I’d give 3.5 starts if it was an option.
It would previously have been a 5 star review, however I feel that recent changes may been detrimental. For example it now takes several days for an auto-payment to show in your account. 4 days that you’re not earning any interest. Also the mortgage balance is never up to date.
I do hope it doesn’t go downhill.

Really straight forward way to start overpaying my mortgage. As someone who couldn't really afford overpayments I just started doing my food shop through this and saving the 3% each time. But then I got really into it and now save a little each month too. It's not huge but will make a big difference to the interest I pay.
The app isn't perfect, the process adds some extra steps to buying things but it's definitely worth it

I wasn't able to pay for shopping with my co-op bank accounts the app doesn't support that. I faffed around transferring enough money into a Halifax account which the app supports, but the payment wouldn't go through then after trying a few times my bank blocked my account. It looks OK if you can get enhanced payment rates, but the standard rates don't look much different to cashback websites. I might try again but it hasn't been a good start and now I've missed out on the initial offer in the first seven days.

I've been with Sprive almost from when it first launched.
It sparked my curiosity when I first heard about it.
I loved the idea of being more in control of my mortgage and having a better understanding of what I owed, how much I could save on the interest and term, it was easy to link my mortgage and bank account to the Sprive app.
With auto save Sprive looks at my bank account and if it sees that I've got some spare money it will move it to my Sprive account, I'm fully in control and can return the cash to my account or pay the mortgage.
The cashback received from every day shopping is absolutely great.
The choice of retailers that you can buy a gift card for is brilliant and these are getting added to all the time. All the little payments towards the mortgage certainly helps.
It's great have more control of the finances and mortgage.

Anyone that doesn't take this up is crazy.
I would say it would be nice if you could top up the cards rather than get another and have to delete the used one.
Alot of the stores you have to go into to use the voucher and can't use online.
I have had trouble with a Morrisons voucher that I purchased but won't work but all in all what a fantastic app.
Thank you

The app is easy to use and easy to make extra money on. I've been using the app for a little over 3 weeks, and already paid off an extra £40 as overpayments on my mortgage. Fantastic idea, and a really easy concept. I'm not paying any more for my shopping (apart from my time using an extra minute or 2 when shopping) but I'm paying my mortgage off quicker. Easy to use, quick to install and make payments. Literally nothing I don't like about it!

Does as it says - I used for lots of different shops and it is easy to use once you set up. The cash back can then be sent directly to your mortgage account. I also use it for savings which again can be transferred back to your account if needed.

Absolutely loving sprive - I’ve never used cash back and this really appealed to me because it was paying off my mortgage. It’s so simple to use and it’s making such a difference without changing my spending habits - I love watching the savings. Amazing incentives for referrals too! Such a win win!

Brilliant and easy to use, why wouldn’t you want to pay off your mortgage quicker (with the money you’re already spending?)

I started using the app in February, and even with only using it for the weekly food shop, I've still generated £26 in cashback which has gone straight towards my mortgage. It's now a habit to check the app before making any purchase.

I am paying small amounts off my mortgage just by using Sprive for my grocery shopping. It is worth trying.
