Within 3 days.
It went surprisingly easy. Within 3 days I received my phone back, repaired and well. However, the only reason why I didnt rate it 5 stars, is because it was placed in my mailbox. Actually I assumed that I would have had to sign for the receipt of the package.

All in all a good experience again. I had several issues in the past three years which were always solved professionally. This is not obvious by all insurance companies. Most tend to complicate things as long as possible in order to avoid generating costs. This was never the case here. I highly recommend this company.

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding a replacement phone I received through my protection plan, which unfortunately arrived with defects and does not function properly.
My original device was approved for replacement due to damage. However, the replacement phone I received is also defective. At the time of receipt, I did not immediately notice the issue and reasonably assumed the replacement device was fully functional and covered by a standard one-year warranty, as is customary for replacement products. I was not aware that my plan allowed for only a single replacement regardless of the condition of the device received.
Providing a defective replacement device and denying further resolution places me in an unfair and unreasonable position as a consumer. I fulfilled all my obligations under the protection plan in good faith, and I do not believe it is acceptable or lawful for a replacement to be defective without offering a remedy.
At this point, I am requesting:
A clear written explanation of SquareTrade’s policy regarding defective replacement devices
Confirmation of why a defective replacement is considered a fulfilled claim
An immediate resolution, either by providing a fully functional replacement device or an alternative fair solution
I am deeply concerned that my consumer rights may have been compromised in this process. If this matter cannot be resolved promptly and fairly, I will be forced to seek legal advice to further evaluate my rights and potential next steps.
I hope we can resolve this issue amicably and without escalation. Please respond in writing at your earliest convenience.

My son got a tablet. He is now 8 years old. We have been using Square Trade for over 2 years. In the first case the tablet was not reparable. Full refund of the tablet and we bought another one. In the 2nd case the tablet was able to be fixed. The 3rd case was totally unexpected. The tablet was just fixed and out of the blue unable to charge. So we got the full refund. This is very usefull. Even for the new PS5 he got for his birthday, we took an insurance. Just in case! Usually I am not such a fan of insurances, but this one is very useful. Thank you, ST employees, you are super!
