Best tech support I've experienced
Stablepoint is wonderful if you're not super technologically inclined. Their support service is brilliant and they go above and beyond, making hosting with them so simple. Today I spoke with Nikolay Zhelev and within minutes of him understanding my issue, it was resolved. Can't rate the company and it's technical support highly enough.

Like others... has become expensive, anti-customer
Identical to the various other negative reviewers in 2026 - I'd been loyal to them, in fact I'd followed the founders (Dom and Seb) businesses from provider to provider for almost 20 years and to Stablepoint for the past 6. But it has become the same old faceless, rude, rip-off provider as others, in some ways frankly worse as they don't even try to window dress their price increases or pretend they care about customer loyalty - they absolutely don't.
Perhaps it's greed, but they've been quietly ramping up incidental costs like domain renewals well in excess of other providers, getting away with making £100s extra off long term clients, then in January they near doubled the monthly hosting charges too, a) without any forward warning, just buried it in an invoice (of which I get many), and b) despite their own website offering much better pricing even after they increased our invoices and then c) their support team over MULTIPLE emails, treated this all as completely normal, logical and fair operation, and made very clear my loyalty is meaningless to them.
Having run payments and billing companies in the UK for over 20 years I can tell you very few credible companies in any industry double monthly billing and don't send out personal, transparent forward warning about it. It speaks volumes about the organisation they've become, but on reflecting, gouging loyal customers by over charging on other billable items should have been a red flag.
Eventually in a third response from them they suddenly acknowledged they had not handled any of this well and offered me the original pricing. But by then I was already migrating to a provider who charges less than even that pricing (and without excess domain fees) and frankly I'm a firm believer that if over several exchanges and wasted energy highlighting their problem, a company shows you who they really are, learn your lesson and leave.

Unannounced price increases
After massive price increases last January, which were communicated, there has been another unannounced price hike this January affecting domain name renewals and shared hosting charges. Support service used to be excellent is now poor, with first line support unable to provide accurate information. Are the owners lining the company up for a buy out as they did with TSOHost?

TSH Host, Vidahost now this!
I moved to Stablepoint as had previously ben with TSO/Vidahost. They were once excellent but sold out & went downhill VERY quickly. I decided to go to Stablepoint as the original crew had started back up, all was good for many years. Lately things are going downhill VERY quickly. A couple of weeks ago email just broke, nothing had changed our end. Only after wasting DAYS did they point me to a known problem THEIR end! I keep getting emails from cpanel saying server response slow. Today email & FTP just stopped. The suddenly came back, no issue their end apparently. I'm guessing they've done it again, sold up & moved on. Never again, I'll be looking to move yet again.
