We live in rural Ireland and were told…

We live in rural Ireland and were told we "might" get broadband by end of 2026. And then along comes Starlink. Incredible speed of over 150 mbps, reliable 24/7. Not only that the price was €65 per month... and then after 4 months they dropped the price to €50 per month. How many companies do you know who drop their prices like that? Not everybody likes Elon Musk... but some of his strategies are excellent.

Kit is locked for 120 days to my account

Bought roam kit for a friend of mine, on the order page it says that there are no contracts, bought refurbed kit sent it 2500km away from me to my friend and after trying to register kit to his account it some how activated by itself on my account, he is in Latvia and roam is 59euro there comparing to 85gbp in UK, after contacting support to try and migrate the dish to his account they said that its 120 days before i can move it to someones account which makes it 3 month contract, i think saying no contract is very misleading!

HORRIFIC

They have no trouble shooting skills and fail to deliver at the worst times.
If your cord, router, or dish have problems they will cycle through sending you a new one of each until they fix because they have no way to figure out which it is.
I live in NWT so it takes 3 weeks delivery for each…..
No phone service all super slow messaging…..
Internet goes down on Friday nights so there is no way to get it resolved without suffering. Happened several times while were in NWT.
This time it’s down because of “subscription issues” yet the bills been paid full every time.
Internet went down totally off Friday night….
They are THE WORST IT DOESNT GET WORSE
GO WITH ANYONE ELSE THEY ARE TORTURE

Disappointed

I have been using Starlink for several years and but lately their customer service has been absolute garbage.
They leave you stranded without Internet service and no customer service responses for days on end.
Shame on you, Starlink. Way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...
UPDATE: I was speaking to someone in Support on Friday who said they'd escalate. No response whatsoever since then and it's now 1 pm on Monday. And they say that support is available 24/7. That appears NOT to be the case.

starlink are fraud and scammers

Bought new kit from starlink . Instead of sending me what I have paid for, they send me , dirty ,scratched and used kit. I didn’t want refurbished kit so paid 2300pln which is 460 British pounds instead of 150 pounds which they selling refurbished kits for ( at least in uk)
I have raised the complaint ticket ( no respond) there is no phone number to ring them or customer service chat to resolve the issue.
Starlink is a part of spaceX , these people are sending rockets into space!!! But they can’t send right gear to customers here on earth
I Would not send a bag of human excrements with them. Let’s wait and see how long it will take them to send courier to pick this used crap up.

Ps they website doesn’t allow to attach photos it just simply doesn’t submit them

Sent us used equipment when they said…

Sent us used equipment when they said they didn't have anything cheaper to send us, still charged us full price. Arrived dirty(it wasn't just from the packaging, its LITERALLY stained and scratched) and the starlink box was UPSIDE DOWN in the actual shipment box, the front of the dish has a minor dent, the armbar is scuffed(Didnt even come with screws to mount with). The hardware is WAY too expensive for the quality of connection, and we have NO obstructions that would make the connection crap(but it IS pretty crap).

They refuse to respond to any messages. There isn't any actual customer service number either.

Honestly pure garbage. Musk is a brilliant scam artist though.

Appalling customer service

I've now been trying for month to return the starlink. Tested it out and decided it wasn't worth the money. OK if you have no other broadband option but the router has a poor range. 6 attempts with DHL arranged by them, all have failed. I'm left with a product I don't want, no sign of my refund and no one at starlink who seems to be able to even arrange a courier collection. Message centre on the app is like talking to a bot and it's musk who is warning us about AI it seems his customer service is run by it. Don't bother unless you're stranded and desperate. I have a tesla but after this I have vowed never to give them another penny.

Starlink are using questionable fulfilment company

I ordered a Starlink internet system for an offer deal of £225.00 and for various reasons I had to send it back and request a refund.

When their fulfilment company, Adyen, issued the refund they only gave me £100.00 and stated that 'If I had an issue with it then raise a ticket with Starlink'. Well given they have a 100% refund policy within 14x days, of course I had an issue with it, so I requested the remaining £125.00.

20x days later and 10x support tickets chasing it, including one reply confirming I was eligible for a full refund, I finally had to threaten them with chasing through the fraud department at my bank, and following up with the UK Ombudsman Association, which I still plan on doing. The remaining due refund was then issued within a few hours.

If I was an old person not capable of chasing this so hard I would have given up and they would be making 125.00 illegally.

This is a terrible way of doing business and means Starlink look like an untrustworthy company by association.

Starlink didn't help at all and there was no one you could speak to on the phone. Having everything through support tickets is fine as long as someone actually responds and helps you. They don't seem to care.

..WILD Connectivity! THANKS!

Greetings, fellow digital explorers! I recently embarked on a wild journey into the untamed wilderness of the internet with Starlink. My mission? To share my bush flying adventures and remote camping experiences with the world through my YouTube channel and social media. And let me tell you, Starlink has been the guiding star in this quest.

Starlink, the celestial internet service that has graced us with its presence, has truly exceeded all expectations. Like a beacon of hope in the darkest corners of the planet, it has provided me with a connection that can only be described as divine. Uploading, downloading, and maintaining connectivity in the most remote and inhospitable locations has been a breeze. It's like having a direct line to the heavens themselves.

The technical aspects of Starlink are nothing short of miraculous. It's as if the gods of technology descended from the heavens to bestow upon us mere mortals a user-friendly and easy-to-configure system. The speed at which it operates is simply otherworldly. In fact, there have been times when I've brought it home to replace my cable internet, which often feels like it's being shared with the entire pantheon of ancient Greek deities. Starlink has provided me with a thicker, more robust connection that has left me in awe.

In conclusion, my experience with Starlink has been nothing short of astonishing. It has enabled me to share my bush flying adventures and remote camping experiences with the world. I am eternally grateful to this celestial internet service for allowing me to bring my content to my viewers in ways I never thought possible. So, here's to Starlink, the shining star in the vast expanse of the digital universe!

horrific Dutch customer service

In 2023 the Dutch customer service was super helpful when experimenting with starlinks.
After convinced of the business case, i bought 10 more and they hold my devices ransom.
Continuous lies and changing of rules, misstating facts, impolite mails like it's a banana shop.
After managing to setup and migration to another region, service is smooth sailing and quality superb!

We've been using Starlink for several months

We've been using Starlink for several months now. The performance is what you'd expect for our rural location, yet when compared to other providers, it's exceptional. As a software developer with a house full of remote workers, we seldom encounter issues. Slow speeds are a rarity, achieving download speeds of 165.4 Mbps.

What truly earns five stars is their customer service.

I purchased two mesh routers due to our house's thick walls, aiming for complete internet coverage.

The delivery for the mesh routers was delayed by three weeks. When we contacted their customer service, they offered to send two additional routers and refund the full price 😱. Eventually, the two mesh routers arrived, followed by the delayed ones a few weeks later.

A few months later, an electrical surge damaged two of the Starlink routers. We reached out to their support to explain what had happened, and they offered to replace both of them for FREE!

Five stars to this company's customer service—it's stellar! (no pun intended). I will never change internet providers again.

Very bad customer support

I've now had a ticket for almost a month with Starlink. Relatively simple question (how to make Starlink work if the service address is another continent). First I was informed that would be impossible and that I would need to return it due to end-user rules per country. I was promised to have custom return labels sent. Wrong labels sent. I asked them three times to fix it, didn't happen. Then suddenly an actual solution was offered that entirely contradicted earlier replies that the satelitte dish could merely be transferred to a new account registered in another country. Every time Starlink thinks they have answered a question (NB: they actually haven't) the ticket is then reopened because it's only partially dealt with or it contradicts what other support agents have said and you have to wait for several days for a response. You should not have to wait, wait, wait and wait without any complaint mechanism, live chat or phone number. Utterly disappointing and frustrating. I can't comment on the actual Internet because it still hasn't been fixed!
